The analysis presented by the above report seems quite realistic and an obvious one. I’ve heard various people saying the same things in talk shows such as Meray Mutabiq and Capital Talk etc.
Everyone agrees unanimously that the only solution to end the current crisis in Pakistan is through fair elections. But I think most people will agree that such an election were never held in Pakistan. The result was a see-saw of corrupt leaders.
I think the recommendations of the report would truly ensure that the previous drama will not be repeated, except for paras 6(b) and 13(a), which in my view apply ONLY to the two so called leaders, who we saw sitting on the see-saw. The people of Pakistan are fed up of these corrupt people and their hypocricy, “lota pan” and chameleon policies. Do we really want to bring back the people like Mr. 10% and Mr. yellow cab?
Holding the free and fair elections, and still imposing the bar of serving no more than two times as prime minister, as promised by the Musharraf governement in the past is the only way to ensure a properous future for Pakistan.

The suggestions by the group for political parties may be the key suggestions, that will further the democratic process in the country.

All our political parties cry for democracy, but every dictator was able to find support from amongst these very political parties, no exception at all. All major political parties have on more than one occassion sought the help of army to come to power.

I could only wish, that political parties would do atleast this much. But I am very skeptic, keeping in view current developments, Pakistan People’s Party chairperson meeting with Gen Musharraf. I am at loss to understand, why was there a need for such a meeting.

Isn’t this should be a normal practice, there is a constitution, there is an election date, there are procedures in place for conduct of elections.

Just adhere to these rules. No more talks, meetings needed.

One more thing, why does Benazir Bhutto want to be prime minister for the third time, PPP has more than one capable person, who could be the next PM, having won the elections.

I have a dream!! very gory tho! but its worth it, cant we form a hit squad and give them a list of all these politicians/parasites and have them kill all these bald and beautiful? They keep coming back no matter how surgically they are removed, they will always come back, if not them, their sons or grandsons…

after reading the report n recommendations i conclude that there should be true democracy in PAKISTAN.We are in need of true, devoted, hardworking and sincere leader who only thinks about its own country and take decisions only in the interest of his dear homeland.
Now its time to wake up n vote to a right person because its foolishness to test a person again who was corrupt in past .
