It has obviously been proven that there is absolutely no rule of law in the nation. The Chief Justice should be ashamed of himself for not acting during the 4 hour crisis after the blood of 40 humans was shed on May 12 for his reinstatement. He has proven to be a disgrace to Pakistan, he’s all words no action which is the exact opposite case for PM Sharif. I would like to point out that the east pakistanis made a mistake by not identifying one institution or the group of generals as the culprits. rather they blamed west Pakistan for all the trouble. being the largest province it was their duty to lead the struggle against the generals and take the smaller provinces with them instead of going their seperate way. they owe an apology to the rest of the smaller provinces and the people of Pakistan.

I have just finished reading Quan’s tafseer a couple of days ago and one thing has been registered very prominently in my mind. Among all the nations that were perised by Allah two types of people were perished; the ones who were the wrong doers and the ones who did not stop them and were like quiet spectators. The only ones saved were the ones who were struggling against the system. I rest my case. We have no choice but to struggle against the system. This is the minimum qualification for Allah’s pleasure. And this is just one step – our country. We, as Muslims, have a lot more to struggle for. A bit idealistic maybe, but we should not lose hope and struggle in our areas of influence.
I am disappointed to see all of you discussing these pointless things!!! this is what these politicians wants us to discuss and wasting time so remain like this forever!

Find ways and means to bring educated candidates from grass roots from all over Pakistan to contest elections.
PPP & PMLN and certain others who have enjoyed Power in he corridors of Power and established a bad reputation should be screened out. Let us build a govt. from grass roots. Forget the old selfish crooks who talk of democracy and are not democratic themselves in the parlimentarly form of Govt. A president with powers to dismiss a mis behaving democratic Govt. is needed Whether Musharaf, Leghari, Ghulam Ishaq Khan or anybody would do. A Prime Minister with unfettered powers without checks and balances is dangerous as power corrupts.
The political leaders/oportunists are very powerful people with money and means to harm the common ordinary pakistani. So the path we must follow is to allow them to fight among themselves in any forum they want (the courts or the Streets). We dont have to go into the streets for them. If new leaders contest from the grass root level independently or from non corrupt parties, we can vote for them based on our assessments. The Old Political parties who have wielded political power stink.
Keep yourselves safe & dont take undue risks for others. In this system of democracy, these people will try their level best to stop leaders from grass roots coming up independently.
It is the sitting Govt. alone which can manage this aspect of true democracy. We will have to watch how they do it.
I do not like the idea of the present Govt. negotiatiating with BB who is known to be corrupt. I also do not know what forces are working behind the scenes. There is no democracy only empty slogans.

I am continuously disappointed after 10th september. Now i have started feeling that nothing has changed. we are excited just because media is showing events in detail, as they are unfolding in the political scene of Pakistan now a days. Many of us just feel they are intellectuals. Can any body from this forum tell me, that he or she was on the street to welcome NS? Most probably, answer will be no—-if there is somebody with `yes`, i salute him. We are dead as a nation. societies cant be reformed with discussions only—untill and unless we dont lauch a full-fledge agitation against the military rule and supremacy of constitution, we will be treated the same way for ever. We love political discussions, try our level best to prove one`s point but practicaly we are dumb a–hole. we dont want to sacrify anything—and success without sacrifice is just a dream.
Sorry for such disappointing note but this is what I feel after 10 September (forced exile of NS against the supreme court decision and drama at Sindh High court showing our respect for rule of law). Sometimes i think that i should not tell anybody here in Japan that I am from Pakistan.

We do differentiate between army and Musharraf. Army, as an institution, is much respected but it is people like Yahya, Zia and now this Musharraf who bring disgrace.

I have just finished reading Quan’s tafseer a couple of days ago and one thing has been registered very prominently in my mind. Among all the nations that were perised by Allah two types of people were perished; the ones who were the wrong doers and the ones who did not stop them and were like quiet spectators. The only ones saved were the ones who were struggling against the system. I rest my case. We have no choice but to struggle against the system. This is the minimum qualification for Allah’s pleasure. And this is just one step – our country. We, as Muslims, have a lot more to struggle for. A bit idealistic maybe, but we should not lose hope and struggle in our areas of influence.
I am disappointed to see all of you discussing these pointless things!!! this is what these politicians wants us to discuss and wasting time so remain like this forever!

I said he is a clown because he is constantly jumping from one topic to the other. No coherence in his thoughts.
Moreover, if he is such a patriot, what is he doing in PMLQ? PMLQ is now playing on another pitch. Since Mosharraf’s boat does not seem to be so stable any more (plus the talk of deal with PPP and the consequent bleak future of PMLQ), they are trying to secure some places for themselves in the other boat.
My dear pakistanis there will be election after some time i hope. So dont poll ur vote but only for those who are anti musharraf they may be of PML N MMA PTI PMAP etc and dont poll for PMLQ( LOTAS)for MQM for PPPP(in case of deal with Mushi). ALLAH bless you all.
There is one news in american newspaper about pakistan. according to this America has no name of NAWAZ SHarif in his list, and thats why america trying to deal mushi and BB. Mushi was always against of BB but now he is going and talking not for pakistan but only for America and for slef.

I have read some post against army and praising Bangladesh for separation. Some gone as far as cursing army to damnation. I tell you what neither the army nor the people fighting against them will go to heaven,Read the hadith about it(i think most of you will know what i am talking about). Secondly all the leaders are bunch of thieves. “Allah imposes a leader on nation which is one among them and reflects the image of there morality.” So dont freakin complain.
Find ways and means to bring educated candidates from grass roots from all over Pakistan to contest elections.
PPP & PMLN and certain others who have enjoyed Power in he corridors of Power and established a bad reputation should be screened out. Let us build a govt. from grass roots. Forget the old selfish crooks who talk of democracy and are not democratic themselves in the parlimentarly form of Govt. A president with powers to dismiss a mis behaving democratic Govt. is needed Whether Musharaf, Leghari, Ghulam Ishaq Khan or anybody would do. A Prime Minister with unfettered powers without checks and balances is dangerous as power corrupts.

What should we do???
The political leaders/oportunists are very powerful people with money and means to harm the common ordinary pakistani. So the path we must follow is to allow them to fight among themselves in any forum they want (the courts or the Streets). We dont have to go into the streets for them. If new leaders contest from the grass root level independently or from non corrupt parties, we can vote for them based on our assessments. The Old Political parties who have wielded political power stink.
Keep yourselves safe & dont take undue risks for others. In this system of democracy, these people will try their level best to stop leaders from grass roots coming up independently.
It is the sitting Govt. alone which can manage this aspect of true democracy. We will have to watch how they do it.
I do not like the idea of the present Govt. negotiatiating with BB who is known to be corrupt. I also do not know what forces are working behind the scenes. There is no democracy only empty slogans.

We have in the Quran ASHAB KAHF where there are 8 in which one is a dog who went into slumber for a long time. The seven persons in it are called ASHAB (respectable term). I am continuously disappointed after 10th september. Now i have started feeling that nothing has changed. we are excited just because media is showing events in detail, as they are unfolding in the political scene of Pakistan now a days. Many of us just feel they are intellectuals. Can any body from this forum tell me, that he or she was on the street to welcome NS? Most probably, answer will be no—-if there is somebody with `yes`, i salute him. We are dead as a nation. societies cant be reformed with discussions only—untill and unless we dont lauch a full-fledge agitation against the military rule and supremacy of constitution, we will be treated the same way for ever. We love political discussions, try our level best to prove one`s point but practicaly we are dumb a–hole. we dont want to sacrify anything—and success without sacrifice is just a dream.
Sorry for such disappointing note but this is what I feel after 10 September (forced exile of NS against the supreme court decision and drama at Sindh High court showing our respect for rule of law). Sometimes i think that i should not tell anybody here in Japan that I am from Pakistan.

If Pakistan is dismembered today and maybe become part of India or any other country (like East Pakistan saga), who will suffer or what do we stand to loose? Not one bit!
The only people who will be without jobs will be these corrupt Generals and they will loose their cushy jobs… maybe like Iraq, the rulers will give them jobs in the police! The common masses will be just fine and the only thing we will have to worry about is accepting a different color flag. Who cares!!
The condition of the country is so pathetic that it is simply shameful to accept that you belong to that land. I agree with someone’s comment on this blog, “…. that now I know how the Bengalis felt and hats off to them to grab their freedom..”. I agree fully! I visited Bangladesh (Dhakka and Chittagong) in early 1982 and heard some of the horror stories from very well placed people of what they had to endure under the ruthless Pak Army. Women and children were raped, girls were picked up from their homes by “sipahis” to be presented to their officers at night.. It’s a pitty that they let 100,000 surrender and go back to west Pakistan. They should have slaughtered them like the taliban are doing in Waziristan!
If the bench constituted by the CJ gives the verdict in favor of Mush (State of Necessity)and allow Mush to be elected to the Presidential office as a serving Army General..
This will be worse than Justice Munir’s judgment and we as a nation will face the consequences for this for the next 60 years. Every COAS going forward on reaching 60 years, will aspire for that position and civilian Governments will be blackmailed to offer him that position or face his wrath!!!
I can’t believe the Most corrupt Leader in the history of Pakistan BB will return to Pakistan. I always thought very high of Musharraf but he lost his respect in my eyes. BB and her corrupt husband pretty musch cleaned up the country’s wealth and now they are back for more. How can people forget what she did with the people of Pakistan bduring her two miserable rules. Govt. of Pakistan siexed her 1.7 Billion US Dollars worth of assets, all from our hard earned taxes for Pakistan. She is now coming back for more, I would definitely prefer an Army ruler like Musharraf over corrupt and greedy Bhuttos. BB has a mission, she wants to take her father’s revenge from each and every Pakistani. I pray to Allah that Supreme Court interferes in this and stop this from happening but Supreme Court is dead against Musharraf that’s why he has to shake hands with a corrupt Leader like BB.
