@ Aneeza
Musharraf might after re-election not quit. He would try to stay chief. But I think the important question now is that how much is army supportive of Musharraf? Well in case of Ayub the army was far away from him, so he had to quit. Now I think is the situation different, well a few months ago it was different. If the army doesnt fall behind as it did in Ayub's case, then Musharraf might have a good chance of staying on even as a civilian president.

Let their be all new faces,instead of Mian,BB and Musharraf.
BB has already been tried twice,everyone knows,what she did,notto mention about Asif Zardari.Nawaz has the same story like BB,both should be banned from entering politics.Let us try to bring all new faces,who are educated,honest and competent enough to run the affairs of the country.

@Eddie
Your right eddie. In Pakistan we beleive a "little" too much in conspiracy theories. About any issue, in Pakistan you have three points of views(pov) i.e. the proposition pov, the opposition pov and the conpiracy pov. Nevertheless....

I did some digging into some matters myself. That is, the deal or understanding whatever people are calling this between musharraf and bhutto seems to have been brokered by a lahore based businessman Iqbal Z. Ahmed who is the founder of Associated group of companies in Pakistan. He has the largest quota of some sort of LPG production. This quoata was given to him by the bhutto government. Now he is some bigshot. In alliance with a Texas( I smell busharraf) based company Excelsior(dont know the correct spelling) he has setup up a project called GasPort that was inaugrated by Musharraf recently. It is supposed to do the gassification of LNG/LPGs that are imported on sea i.e. inside vessels than on land because its expensive to do it on land as in the infrasturucture is costly. I really dont mind musharraf and bhutto going together, but the way they are doing it that is despeccable.

Some politicians claimed that Gen Mush has bought a palace in Istanbul where he will run away. This was later endorsed by some journalists/columnists. One of them, very senior journalist - Abbas Athar - claimed that it is an authentic news that Gen Mush’s friend has bought (most likely as a front man) a palace.

And as far its price, someone has claimed that most expensive house on planet is $155 dollar in Montana. He missed the $160 (£80) million worth house in central london bought by Lakshmi Mittal 3 years ago (its recent estimate is near $200 million). And it is just a big house.

Another friend has rightly pointed out that above are houses whereas Gen Mush or his front man must have bought a massive palace (they usually come with acres of lands and have plenty of houses in side for the servants).

America is a huge war machine and Corporates make money when there is war. The political structure higher up is made to suit this. Leaders are elected/selected accordingly who ensure the system continues. America does not go to war region. America creates a war region.

America is nobody's friend. America requires conscience sellers to meet their goals. Anybody popular with America will not have popular support in his/her country. No other leader in Pakistan can give America the support they want. America works for nobody but themselves. Nawaz or Benazir cannot deliver even a sizable fraction of what Musharaf delivered. America has the reputation of using people and dumping them the world over.

Eddie,

I think you just proved my point concerning their subconscious control:). Yes you are right we should not give a damn but still who are they to plan things like these and get away with it. It may be ok with some but not quite with others.
