In the past 60 years of Pakistan those who benifited are
- Politicians & Political parties
- Their workers indirectly
Those who were not benifited
- the AWAM
Rather the Awam were the losers and politicians were the parasites.
Now When the politicians find they are not in control of the situation, they want AWAMs blood to be shed in the street to establish Vadera democracy.
People(AWAM) should not fall in the trap as they will risk themselves and get nothing. Let those politicians who will benifit shed their blood if needed. Let us(AWAM) watch the drama unfold on TV in the saety of our homes.
The premise of the above statement is that politicians are either aliens from Mars or are human machines manufactured in some secret factory to which awam has no access.
Even if the above statement is true, then what is the solution? Looking at history and the world around us, it’s not hard to understand that it’s only awam who can bring about mass change. When masses start involving themselves directly in politics, that’s when purification happens…that’s when decisions are made for them and by them
Assalam o allaikum,
I feel Justice Wajihuddin should become the President of Pakistan regardless of what the situation is. I feel he is a simple person who truly cares about the right of the people.
Admin, again thanks for all your effort in bringing these news clips to us.
I agree that Justice Wajih should be the President regardless of the cureent situation. He is a man of principles. He refused to take oath under PCO and preffered to resign. Even his father distanced himself from the decision to hang Bhutto if i remember correctly. I believe Justice Wajih will bring credibility to the post of President of Pakistan and will return all powers to the Prime Minister and his cabinet. He is not someone who is hungry for power. A man of such stature deserves to be our President.
Justice Wajihuddin’s father was Justice Waheeduddin and he was orginally the member of that panel of Supreme Court which was hearing case of Bhutto and he was removed from teh panel by Zia because he was percieve to give judgement in favour of Bhutto. Then teh Supreme Court had given the judgement in majority of 4-3 and all four judges were from Punjab.
They were
1. Justice Anwar ul Haq
2. Justice Karam Elahi chohan (whose son got married to Zahoor Elahi’s daughter)
2. Justice Muhammad Qayuum (father of present Attorney General - Malik Qayuum)
4. Justice Nasim Hasan Shan who went on to become Chief Justice of Pakistan and who accepted in programme Jawabdehh that sending Bhutto to gallows was legally wrong.
Now in yesterday’s verdict all four judges from Punjab gave the verdict in favour of Gen Musharraf and two others - Justice Dogar was Chief Election Commissioner and conducted local bodies elections in 2004 and conducted the worst rigging ever and Justice Iqbal is more than happy to serve establishment because he wants to become next Chief Justice as soon as possible.
Shakir Ali Jan and Nawaz Abbasi served as Law Secretaries.
it has been aptly said
Na mera Pakistan Hai Na Tera Pakistan Hai
Ye Us Ka Pakistan Hai Jo Sadr Pakistan Hai
AoA, I agree with others that Justic Waheeduddin SHOULD & MUST be president. So can some one realistically analyze the chances of his win? Lawyers have no representation in Assembly. MMA announced to resign. PPPP nominated Amin Faheem.
And the best thing if he is selected that…Supreme Court will get its full honor and all its decisions will be implemented as it is. Anyone knows or have some idea how he can win ????
AOA, I agree 100% with the views of Justic Wajihudin. With the time our socity has become
impotant,in the feild of civic responsabilities, time and again the people of Pakstan has been cheated by CORRUPT & CONSCIOUS LESS POWER HUNGRY INDEVIGUALS.Yet people of Pakistan trust their LIES & FALSE
promises.FOR ALLHA SAKE BRING HONEST AND SINCERE PEOPLE IN TO THE GOVRNAMENT.VOTE FOR WHOME YOU SEE IS HONEST.REGRDLESS YOUR POLITICAL ALAINCE.LONG LIVE PAKSTAN.
