Does government really want to stop BB or is it all just part of the deal to restore PPP’s position as a real opposition?
When governments in Pakistan really want to stop someone, they really go to the length as they did with Nawaz Sharif. Agreements, laws, SC, deals, Constitution etc do not really count when Governments want to stop a leader.

every body knows whats going to happen .mush will stay nothing will happen lotaas of army and chamchaaas of usa (pppp is also in this grp now along with pmlq and fazal) will rule our nation …all this sensationalism is created by media to make money…..they create false hopes to make people watch there news channels to make money …..
govt knows that too……and also media is keeping poeple from coming out in streets….i remember in 90s people with intrest in politics used to come out in streets to jion protests or political rallies etc …now all the people who have the liking for politics prefer to see the intresting shows in tv …they didnt have that outlet before now they have …so they dont have to go outside to enjoy politics……
bottom line….media is helping govt in there own way and also making money by keeping people hopeful of getting rid of mush….

assume that mush goes and every thing is going smoothly who will watch political shows in tv channels then….media will loose big time financially …so they want all this anarchy to prevail….they want issues, conflicts ,fights, cruel, wardi, unjustice in short they want dictator like mush….who by his cruels and annihiliation of constitution give media story every day ////they give false hope to people and talk against mush …so that people keep watching there shows….truth of matter is that there is no hope…not atleast from SC/POLITICIANS ETC ….only bloody violence can change things now…which is also unfortunate

Goverment is giving PPP an open ticket to do whatever they want. Basically PPP is Mushy’s new party. Even though everyone knows that BB is coming back with American Agenda, but still they are out their to support her and back her up. Its lack of morality in out society. I wish BB does become prime minister cause that will be end of her political career. She can never get Pakistan out of mess that its in. Their is a general perception that BB is anti Islam, and her policies would reflect that. This would result in more redicalization of Pakistani society as people would be willing to give their lives in defence of Islam. A battle ground is being setup where Islam and Anti-Islam forces will clash. At the end of the day Islamic forces would win, cause no matter how weak we are as muslims we would never tolerate any anti islamic moves. In my view BB and Mushi allience is going to cause more bloodshed cause they wanna following non-pakistan agenda.
BB and PPP keep talking about employment and good life for the poor, i can assure you that its one of those slogans that never materialize. They have never proposed any clear economic and social agenda, cause they don;t have any. It back to 70s and 80s politics, give the poor the hope and win an election.
In my humble view NS is the only person that can atleast calm things down in Pakistan. But it will takes years to solve our economic and social issues. Who ever claims that they have all the solutions and fixes are bluffing……….

sher afgan is a cartoon character. a tv camera should follow him around 24/7. it would make a great reality show.
October 17th, 2007 at 2:59 pm
Bhai,
I think my comment is as moderate as it can be. This is too much sensorship. It was a metaphoric example ’skining the animal alive’. We don’t want marshlaw on this website.

Each one of General Kargil’s supporter is mentally retarded. Fortunately, the end is near, and all are now wetting their diapers!
October 17th, 2007 at 5:12 pm
I am confused. Looking at the majority of comments on this website, I get the idea that Pakistani people are strongly pro-NS and consider BB a traitor and a corrupt politician. Even the admin puts up polls which look obviously biased against PPP (hence the choice b and c comboed together lol).
But…PPP got the most number of votes in the last election. Its supporters show up in huge numbers when the occasion demands. Who are these people? Are they Pakistani’s?…do they think?..do they feel? do they face the same everyday problems as everyone else?…if yes… then may be…it won’t be wrong to admit that they seek relief in BB’s leadership…that they agree with their leadership’s thinking and are willing to give up their daily life for showing support. Is there any other party or leader for whom it’s worker are willing to do so much? If we add the fact that these workers and voters make the majority of the vote bank in Pakistan (as recent history tells us) then Western support becomes a side issue. May be BB is backed by the West…but is that the source of her power?…these people on the streets… tell me a different story.
Thanks for reading my 2 cents:)

Munib

@ Munib:
Your confusion is understandable, yet explicable that the only charismatic leader and with a potential this country ever produced was the late Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.
And, the dream lives on with that name, and now the poor–fed up with horsetrading politicians, obscurantists, self-promoting military dictators–are willing to give BB another chance. At the end of the day (notwithstanding US$ 1.5 billion net worth), she is the least corrupt of all on the scene.
October 17th, 2007 at 5:48 pm
BB got votes in the last election because then she did not strike a deal with a military dictator. This website is not biased, all these Jialas who are desperate to wellcome BB were at the forefront of anti-musharraf demonstrations and their shouts were louder than rest of the others “GO MUSHARRAF GO”. Now after the power sharing deal with Musharraf what is it these Jialas would be yelling? “STAY MUSHARRAF STAY”. None of the Jiala shouted “GO UNIFORM GO”, they said “GO MUSHARRAF GO”. I saw myself Jehangir Badr and Farzana Raja shouting “GO MUSHARRAF GO”. There is hardly any difference between the execution of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Saddam Hussain, they were both disliked by US and Israel. Today BB wants to come to power to please those who backed the execution of her father because he was the founder of nuclear programme of Pakistan. I am not from PML(N) but with all due respect hypocrisy and U-turns at this level are not visible in Nawaz Sharif’s camp.

@ Kalim Khan:
Everone is naked in this jacuzzi; now the General will soon be joining at the bottom.
By the way, Nawaz Sharif too was the prodigal production of great Zia ul Haq!
October 17th, 2007 at 6:00 pm
@ Democrat
As I have already said, I am not from PML(N) but I think in the context of recent statements given by BB, specially about A Q Khan and invasion of Pakistan, whoever supports PPP is a traiter.
October 17th, 2007 at 6:11 pm
@ Kalim Khan:
I am not from PPP either, but feel it has a greater potential without the Zardari couple.
Still, you take the BB’s recent statements out of context–and call others traitors!
(a) A.Q. Khan is a criminal for smuggling nuclear material; and must be interogated by international bodies where one is signatory.
(b) Pakistran has already been invaded by the Taliban–even residing in its capital.
