Benazeer Bhtto is coming to Pakistan not on NRC, but on the support of USA. Musharraf and MQM have no way stop her,rather than General Musharaf and Sindh Govt shall support and secure his arrival as they instructed.
*Attorney General has objected to four anti Mush judges, in response Aitezaz Ahsan said that if so he will object to five pro Mush judges and has therefore advocated for full court.
*Chief justice has said that court may suggest extreme measures in Mian Nawaz case.
* Plea for the setting up of Full court has forwarded to CJ SC.
Pakistan have only one option only one option kick the genral out as soon as possible .. Muharraf should leave at all cost.
western people (most particularly educated and so called upper class) take pride in voting unlike Pakistan… and the reason they give for this is the sacrifices their forefathers have given to earn the right to vote/democracy. I suppose thats the reason that democracy has flourished in west.
i agree with Hassan coments above that we should take the voting seriously and not leave it to ‘masses’ from poor rural areas to vote for their ‘vaderas’. It is a responsibilty that we all must fulfill to be recognised/become a civilised nation….
how do we register to vote if we live abroad? if anyone knows please post the process.
Dear readers
Supeme court will go in favour of genral. All history of judges since 1954 is in favour of every dictator. See the list of these corrupt breed. They have taken every step to put people of pakistan in hands of buchers. The decision in favour of chief justice is there own survival. The drama is again set in the court, they will take bribe in form of plots, cash and they will feel no shame. These are bitter truth, people of pakistan should come on streets and though all ruling class, army, holy fatherers(mullahs) in dust bin.
aoa
some great points above i would also agree that every Pakistani who has can vote should vote.
Does anyone know about the structure of the proposed full court as to who has agreed to sit in it?
From http://www.whydemocracy.net/film/13
watch the documentary if you can get a hold of it. Its not as simple as how **@Truth** or the like think!
Think real hard, make your own opinion and do not follow the herd!
“It’s pretty easy to hate General Pervez Musharraf, who staged a military coup in Pakistan in 2001. Or is it? Since he took office he has been described both as a military dictator and as a moderate and fairly progressive leader. Indeed, President Musharraf’s government lacks the legitimacy that stems from popular approval because he was not democratically elected. But, since he took power, Pakistan has experienced moderate economic growth. Similarly, in other parts of the world, non-elected leaders such as Deng Xiaoping in China have enabled immense economic growth and stability through dictatorship. Even if they are not democratically elected, these leaders might still be acting in the best interest of a country and its citizens. By what do we measure a good leader? Are dictators ever good?”
In case of full bench formation what will be the position in the supreme court? I mean pro mushraf and independent judges ratio. Is any one like to brief me about it.
CHEAP Desion from Chief Justice not allowed fullcourt .Mushi will take next 5 year shame shame on his desion shame.
All effort from lawer are in bin.
Cong. to Mushi and his folver & shame to the Courts to allowed army chief as president.
@ Democrate
I agree with you in general. At times, it is good to have a good dictator as your leader than a bad democrat.
I don’t agree with the popular slogan that “Worst democracy is better than best dictatorship”.
Now purely judging on the basis of performance, I’ll put my weight against Gen Musharaf due to follwoing (main) resaons:
1. Killings in Waziristan and tribal areas. It has weakened our army, exposed it and the army has lost (to a fairly good degree) popular support from people. It will prove very very costly in future.
2. Killings on 12 May. Can someone tell me how a head of state can “proudly” announce that his supportes have killed people as a show of strenght??? For me that was the last straw. If he can go to that extremes for his personal gains, then sorry, I can’t support him. The minimum he should have done was to make an inquiry committee, even as an eyewash.
3. His gimmikeries with the constituation. I would have rather supported him as a stright military dictator than a constitution’s spin doctor.
4. The divide he is creating in the country of EXTREMIST and MODERATES. Instead of dialogue and reconciliation, he is suppressing his opponents as EXTREMIST, which is breeding real extremists.
5. Deviation from his 7 point agenda. Elimination of corruption was his top agenda point. The result as we have seen is today is SUPPORT CORRUPTS. The thing which I really hate is that he did not even had to do it. He could have been selected president any way.
6. Economic growth. It APPRENTLY looks good. But just subtract the WAR ON TERROR factor. Where would we had been without lavish US funding and US sponsored/supported Foreign Investment? I bet, a democratic government would have gained far more by providing too little in this bargain with US. Unfortunately, the country had to and has to pay a huge price for keeping the general in power.
7. Economy. 16 Billion $ F Reserves. What has the common man gained?????
8. No action on Steel Mill, Aata (floor), cement, PTCL, Stock Exchange etc etc scandals. Let the government change and you will be surprise to see the mushroom growth of scandals. Then you and I’ll know better the government’s claim that there are no corruption charges against its ministers.
I still have some sympathies with Gen. He is a better leader than many others. But he has failed to deliver. The problem is, his failure is affecting ARMY and COUNTRY very heavily. This would not have been the case if a politician was failingt.
@ Democrat?
@ Adam
My interpretation: the essence of governance is “responsible and representative government” [for the original idea, see Harold Birch--circa 1880]. It is not democracy, monarchy, dictatorship per se. On all counts, for the last 40 plus years populations have by and large accepted persons like Castro and Ghaddafi for several reasons. Foremost,they are not corrupt–defined as using public office for private gain. By that token, General Kargil through enacting the NRO has proven himself to be the most corrupt person in recorded history.
@Parveen
Has a decision been made on the full court yet?
Supreme court gives detailed decision on Nawaz, shabaz Sharif deportation case. Details coming.
Eleven judges court to continue to listen from tomorrow Musharraf’s holding double office case.
@ Sulaiman Wasti
Yes, your interpretation is correct. Irrespective of the form and the name given, if the government (KHILAFAT, MONARCHY, DEMOCRACY etc)is for the people and country, I’ll suport it.
In the recent past, worldwide, we have seen that generally, the GENERALS (dictators) go for personal gains and personal power. Democratic governments, on the other hand, “generally” go for their people’s and country’s uplift.
Exceptions are availble in both cases; for dictators you have alreday mentioned. Let me add Sultan of Oman, who is doing a good job for his people. As far as bad democracy is concerned, the examples are Pakistan and Hitler’s Germany,where governments were formed democratically, but were either dictaor in nature or corrupt.
As a system, democracy is better as it attaches more accountabilities and checks (some direct, some implicit) with government.
The bottom line; If the government is not good for its people, what good is the label.
constitution is the sloution ofall problems.obay yourself and ask others to obay .save pakistan by rules of law not with gun.
@Adam
An example of a good dictatorship is of china…. My friend and me often share this view that in Democracy the development comes slowly. but on the other hand a good dictatorship can be miracle for its people… Leaving all bad things back, like human rights abuses etc… China is doing alot for its people… You see the MegLev (Magnatic Elevated) Trains in Shanghai are just thought to be introduced now in Germany…. Once India and China were at same economic levels but now see…..
But rarely Dictatorship are good for the people. Especially in Pakistan, where General all time work to prolong their regime game and think nothing for their people…
I am horrified to see the 140 Rs /Kilo of tomatoes….
Yaar I see that for now the average cost for preparing a meal in Pakistan and Europe is almost same….(Here i see Rs.60/70 per kilo for Onion and Tomato) …. but on other side see the difference of Quality of Life…..
How poor people live in our beloved country…someone tell General Mush also
@ Amir
Agree with the example of China. I had a chance to visit china and literally, I was FRIGHTENED to see the sky scappers in Shanghai and the pace at which they were erected. The Chinese govt is investing the money in people and development. Of course, some problems are there, but the net result is positive, by a big margin.
As far as tomato goes, I get it for around 1 – 1.5 Euro per kilo in France. Even at 1.5 Euro per kilo, it is cheaper here than Pakistan.
And “they” say we have 16 Billion $ in foreign reserve. For licking (CHATNEY KE LIYE)????????????

can someone please clarify what the court decision was on NS deportation.
On the recent statement by Ejaz ul Haq (Zia ul Haq fame) that upcoming elections will be a contest between “Chors” and “Chowkidars”.
Appropriately, he will get elected unopposed–because he is both candidates in one!
Check what BB has to say against SC and Punjab http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EPVUOK5DAPo. We dislike him only because she is not Punjabi according to her. But we like Imran Khan and is he Punjabi?
Yes- I agree. Can anyone elaborate on the court ruling on NS.
11-member SC bench for Presidential Selection. Would be good idea if pkpolitics.com conduct a poll on these judges.
1- Javed Iqbal
2- Abdul Hamid Dogar
3- Khalil Urahman Ramday
4- Nwaz Abbasi
5- Faqir Muhhammad Khokhar
6- M. Javed Bttar

Jurisprudence is another form of highly opinionated, adult franchises, voting. Keep your hope down and sleep well.
admin,
It is blatantly and evidently obvious that you in your biasness, contempt and dislike of Benazir Bhutto and Peoples Party in general not showing any footage, news clips and interviews which has anything to do with Benazir’s return, whereas you showed minute by minute news footage of Nawaz Sharif’s return. This is completely unacceptable for an independent and impartial blogsite which ostentatiously manifests itself to be fair and giving its viwers unaltered images and analysis from different media outlets on Pakistani Political scene without any hint of discrimination and favouritism to any political leader or party.
Obviously you don’t perform this mammoth task of putting up the videos for your own sake, it is to disseminate into public sphere that is the real aim. As a visitor of this site on a daily basis then it is my right to raise voice against this unfair policy. I want this messege to be very short, so I’ll end it here, although I know that you will remove this post immediately, I just wanted to record my complaint. And please dont be offended by this messege, take it as one of the perspectives that a viewer has of your site.
N.Sharif is not alowed to come in pakistan.
Cj has said ,because they have an agriment.
very sad guys .
@Gongaa
Why not to stop visiting this site and start your own. That is exactly what the future of Paki Media is. Stop whining . You have done your job by labeling this site as biased. Now go on and start celebrating the next innings of looting of Pakistan.
aoa
come on SC give decision against the dictator its straight forward. How can a serving army general be president when he has taken oath that he will not take part in politics whilst a soldier.
Gongaa,
Please read my message above in the post. My internet is down and I am expecting it to be resolved by tonight.
I am not only holding coverage of BB event, but other regular programs are also pending.
@Everyone,
ARY Digital is showing Indian Cricket Match from the morning and Geo is showing 5 minutes news only between their dramas and entertainment programs in the UK. Anyone knows if I can get a bigger satellite dish installed and access OneWorld from European side?

Will Suicide bombing incidences be good for BB?
Yes, few PPP celebrants will be killed. Some more will get injured. These workers are keeray makoray for the elite Benazir anyway. She will be safe in her armored Mercedes protected by radio jammers. But BB will get good mileage from the sympathy factor of the blast. This is a well-tested and proven political paradigm all over the world.
i dont know y jung group has published the false report on NS DEPORTATION CASE…truth of matter is that it has been adjourned till oct 30th and CJ has said that court will go to any extent to resolve the issue and punish the culprits (if found guilty)
guies dont get too excited with SC pending decisions….here is whats going to happen
1-it will reinstate mush and ask him to shed uniform and take confidence vote from new assembly (which would pave way for another rigged elections
2-SC will ask govt to have NS back…unless a few officials will be arrested who were responsible for his deportation..(not a big deal for govt..they will make a few people escape goat and wouldnt let NS back)
3-SC will cancel NRO but that wouldnt hurt bb because govt wouldnt file any case against her any ways ..because she is a shahi mehmaan of USA……so she will be treated nicely……
ALL THIS CAN BE ONLY BE DISRUPTED BY SUICIDE
BOMBERS,,,AND THATS WHOM PPPP GOVT AND ALL THE LOTAAAS AND USA CHAMACHAAS FEAR FROM ….THEY CAN MANIPULATE SC AND POLITICIANS ,,,ONLY BOMBERS CAN SPRING SURPRISES
Supreme Court shouldn’t delay anymore because it can make Gen Mush stronger because he has backing of BB (i have a feeling that Govt’s requests to BB not to come is all part of deal to restore BB’s credentials as opposition – i could be wrong).
Parliament Gallery added – GEO News Headlines coming shortly.
Admin
every body knows whats going to happen .mush will stay nothing will happen lotaas of army and chamchaaas of usa (pppp is also in this grp now along with pmlq and fazal) will rule our nation …all this sensationalism is created by media to make money…..the create false hopes to make people watch there news channels to make money …..
govt knows that too……and also media is keeping poeple from coming out in streets….i remember in 90s people with intrest in politics used to come out in streets to jion protests or political rallies etc …now all the people who have the liking for politics prefer to see the intresting shows in tv …they didnt have that outlet before now they have …so they dont have to go outside to enjoy politics……
bottom line….media is helping govt in there own way and also making money by keeping people hopeful of getting rid of mush….
Check these two links, worth to watch and make your own mind after analysing it with nuetral views. Does she a leader or Bhutto daughter, who is running his legacy?

Gongaa Pakistan,
Thanks for your wonderful comments. This exposes this website or blog as a propoganda tool for PMl-N and people like Imran Khan.
it is is big shame as I liked the setup but you know what you are going to get here beforehand. It will be same pro nawaz and pro imran type tv shows.
Anyway we can always avoid coming here.
Thanks
@Mazhar and Goonga
We have avoided a lots of otehr sites before arriving here, and we don’t find anything wrong with this site. It is the matter of choice whether you wish to watch, and mostly there were available programs which I intended to avoid, but I never mentioned that admin should start putting them here. NS arrival was far different from this event, since it was after a bold decision from the supreme court. BB’s arrival is just because of the momentum of the decision she made after NRO, and she herself had been mentioning the same.
i have a NOT-BAD access to channels, I don’t see any prominent ativity in the media for this event. So it’s the media which is playing its role, and we are apparently slave to this media.
Hard Luck Fellows.
@Tanweer Amjad
I am sorry to say but this an absolute and total lie that media is not covering the event. I am watching Geo since morning and there is nothing else but BB there, except a few ads of Pervaiz Elahi funded from Punjab’s kitty. BBC is also covering the event well.
Admin has a right to run this site as he wishes to.
ARY just announced that their channel “The Musik” will be covering Benazir’s arrival and ARY Digital will continue showing dramas and cricket.
BB’s arrival will be covered tomorrow all day at pkpolitics.com.
Admin
@Commoner,
Which country are you watching Geo in? Is it GeoTV or Geo News?
Admin
@Admin
I am watching Geo tv online at the following link:
http://www.pakistanvision.com/playLive.php?pid=1
Frankly i could find only sponsored ads by PPP there
aoa
the most corrupt person, this is dictators words several years back and now its a marriage made in heaven and all is forgotten because it benefits them both personally.
That means you were only watching tv between the programs. There was BB’s Press conf.,Talk with Dr Shahid Masood, Live with Kamran Khan, and several reports to metion a few.
I was trying to find if there was anything extra ordinary about the press conference or the preparations at the airport. Of course there are a lot of PPP supporters workers,but some of them , only some of them, realize that she is coming as a result of a deal between Mohtarma Benzir Bhutto, and General Kiyani (then ISI Chief and now VCOAS). i thought there could be any one from the party involved in the deal. Big loyals have been heard saying ‘maen un ki baat ka amin naheen hoon’.
.
But remember it was for democracy only
@ Imran Malik
“in 90s people with intrest in politics used to come out”
“media is keeping poeple from coming out in streets”
You don’t have to go that far, people were out on the street in CJ’s case. In my opinion though people badly want Musharraf to be out but at the same time they don’t have a credible alternae,the entire opposition has lost credibility one way or the other.
(a) NS lied about the deal
(b) Qazi promised many times to resign (Women’s Protection Bill, Bugti, Wana etc.)
(c) BB made a deal
(d) Fazl …I don’t think I have to say anything..its obvious what he did
Musharraf ofcourse has no credibility, so in short!
why nakameee mutaya karwan jata raha
Karwan kay dil say ehsaas-e-zian jata raha
People have given up on the leadership and that is why they are not coming out.
Hello Bezanir’s Lovers,
You do not have to worry about Nawaz Sharif anymore. The future of political arena is tied to the leader’s presentation to the media. Though Nawaz and Benazir both are photogenic, Benazir wins Nawaz by miles in fooling the public on the TV. Nawaz does not have the supportive skills to even give a good interview on a TV channel. I suggest Nawaz to bring new candidate to the forefront and sit in the background similar to Sonia Gandhi. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
I think BB’s arrival is a very good sign… especially for the media, since they are getting so many ads just as they had been getting from Government for Musharraf and Parha Likha Sehatmand Punjab. I wonder how NS get so much coverage in the news without an investment in the ads. This clearly indicates the impartiality of the media somehow. People should stop questioning it. Whether you give them ads or not, they will try to give the true picture.
@commoner,
You must be in Pakistan then. Please be aware that same programs in UK are shown 5 hours later than GEO in Pakistan. The time I posted my reply to you was afternoon in UK and we did not know that Geo was going to show Dr. Shahid at 9:30pm in UK.
Also note that UK guys don’t have luxury of dedicated Geo News Channel like in Pakistan and I did not see any press conference in Geo TV UK, other than few seconds clip that they showed in news headlines.
