Why dont any Govt Minister, thats not fair. These officals are also jerks but atleast SC has to reliaze that they cant do anything by themseleves without having clear instructions from President House or PM office.

They deserved punishment, but not so minor. They should also be dismissed from their services. And yes SyedOA is right to say that the responsbile government Ministers should also be punished. So why the Interior Minister escaped?
In any event, the sentence is greatly appreciable. It will set an example for future. However, this needs to be developed into a judicial trend throughout the country. Any police or other executive officer should face such like consequences of his bad behaviour with the citizens.

the sentence is very lenient. it was really a matter of assault and GBH to the CJ.

since these officers are now convicted in a court of law on criminal charges all of them must be immediately suspended by the Govt of Pakistan. If they are not then Govt is seen as supporting and harbouring criminals and convicts.

I think the punishment is a joke … SC is too warm with these all convicted persons, Also where is Mushi .. He also must get punishment as he is the one who ordered …

Our SC is showing very variable behaviors. Some times we are very much motivated with the decision which are reflection of truth.Sometimes we are desperate and think perhaps this is again an illusion and some thing else is behind the scene. a blind and illeterate person knows that an army chief should not contest for any election in Uniform but petiotions are decided as nonmaintainable. please dont destroy our last hope.

I would like to bring to the notice of Official Muslim that it was teh founder of that sect who had first declared that those who would NOT accept him as the reincarnation of Holy Prophet peace be upon him would be declared as NON MUSLIMS.

So they should first change the status and their books first and then expect others to change the constitution.

It was openly declared by Mirza Ghulam Ahmed Mirza that those who would not do bait on his hand are KAFIRS. That is clearly said in his writings. So it was he who first started this - so why complain now.

One thing more - why are the followers of this Jamaat quiet on recent attacks on Muslims and invasion of Iraq and Afghanistan. There has not been a single protest from this Jamaat on killings of hundred and thousands of innocent children and women in Iraq and Afghanistan. As Mirza Sahib had declared Jehad to be unlawful - so what should the Muslims do now in these countries - should they bow in front of the foreigners and ask for forgiveness.

So everyone knows where this sect came from and how was it formed and who is funding them and why it has a huge well established base in UK, Canada and Scanadavian countries. There was not a single protest from this Jamaat over Salman Rushdie and also from MQM also because their leader is also based in UK and he does not want to annoy his masters also.

I feel since Mr.Musharraf knows that he will loose his case of presidential election therefore first he tried to create fear of emergency and by doing so he was unable to achieve his objective then he used his last weapon of emergency by rouing the fate of 16 million people of Pakistan.He could have done worst than that for Pakistan

ISI used dirty tricks to bully judges in Pakistan: British newspaper

Pakistan president Pervez Musharraf suffers another setback as The Sunday Times, UK reveals that the intelligence arm ISI tried to blackmail by filming SC judges and their children having sex with partners or prostitutes.

ALREADY UNDER intense pressure from both friends and foes at home and abroad, Pakistan president Pervez Musharraf suffered another setback today, when allegations surfaced that Inter Services Intelligence used dirty tricks to pressurize Supreme Court judges, who were to deliver key judgment against the military ruler.

A British newspaper has revealed that Inter Services Intelligence, the most powerful agency in Pakistan secretly filmed judges and their children having sex with partners or prostitutes and later these were sent to at least three judges of the Pakistan Supreme Court.

The Sunday Times has reported that at least three judges out of the 11-judge bench were sent these secret films. This Bench was to decide whether Musharraf was eligible for the post of President while he was still wearing army uniform.

In one of the videos, a judge is shown with his mistress and another showed a man making love to a girl perceived to be the daughter of a judge.

The intent, according to Sunday Times, was clearly to tell the judges to mind their business and prevent them from meddling too much into the affairs of the army and the government.

Sources in Pakistan now say that perhaps this was the reason the Supreme Court gave an ambiguous ruling and decided that his eligibility would be decided later.

The Sunday Times report alludes to the fact that Musharraf imposed emergency to keep in check an activist judiciary which was almost on the verge of declaring his candidature as null and void.

The report also said that Musharraf was asked to impose emergency by his intelligence arm, suggesting that judges were totally against him.

Interestingly, it also reveals that several judges were enjoying the company of women in lieu of the favours they granted to private parties involved in litigation and this was the reason that many of them could be target of the smear campaign.

ISI reportedly has a large number of such videos which could be used at appropriate time.
