I hope that Musharraf keeps on discrediting generals and thus we know how bad Martial law is for Pakistan. I think this is the last emergency and Martial law. As Aitzaz Ahsan says: 'this is a weak Musharraf and not the same we had 8 years ago'. Altaf Hussain asked Rabta committe yesterday to be ready to explain to Awam (public) the reasons behind any unusual step (emergency). I hope that this will be used against MQM in future when they will beg against any such action and we would remind them about their support for emergencies 'in the past'. This means issuance of new ordinances by President General Pervaiz Musharraf and unlimited powers to President. Moreover, it can be for the oath taking of Judges under PCO.
