Those who live in the US are requested to write to Senators. Make one or two good paragraphs, tell them that Musharraf is playing double game and he supports extremists through secret channels to get US aid. You may copy and paste those paragraphs to as many senators as you like.
To assure those who might be frightened to write (it is quite normal for Pakistanis), I have written to many world leaders and local and International bodies and no agency follows you. They are not after the people who express themselves through their writings.
For their contact information and email addresses, please visit:

Great Bhagwandas I salute you - even though you are a Hindu but you are far higher in respect from the whole Pakistani nation than those bayzamir Musalman judges who sold their conscience and took oath.
As Muslims we should look into ourselves what type of people are we.
Shame on Musharraf and his touts.
November 4th, 2007 at 10:34 pm
There is no doubt that Musharraf is playing double game - he is the one who has been encouraging these extremists whether they were Lal Masjid or Swat or others and he is cheating the West also - he cannot be trusted under any circumstances

Please read this article - published in Urdu in Nawa-i-Waqt by Aftab Iqbal. It is also quite thought provoking although I disagree with his assertions because his is that of defeatist attitude but certainly it also reflects pragmatism

According to Geo News, MMA will decide its future strategy, in view of the prevailing emergency situation, in its November 8th Supreme Coucil meeting. WHAT A LOAD OF CRAP!! If MMA was really worried then it would not wait until the 8th and act immediately. But what can one say about Fazlu, the man with many faces who can change colours more swiftly than a Chameleon. He is one of the biggest SOBs who is out there to help Mush.

A LOOK AT RIGHTS SUSPENDED IN PAKISTAN
————————————–
[Source: Associated Press Sun Nov 4, 2:03 PM ET]
A look at some of the restrictions and suspended rights in the state of emergency declared by Pakistani President Gen. Pervez Musharraf:
• Protection of life and liberty.
• The right to free movement.
• The right of detainees to be informed of their offense and given access to lawyers.
• Protection of property rights.
• The right to assemble in public.
• The right to free speech.
• Equal rights for all citizens before law and equal legal protection.
• Media coverage of suicide bombings and militant activity is curtailed by new rules. Broadcasters also face a three-year jail term if they “ridicule” members of the government or armed forces.

From the News (Jang).
Ousted judges to preside over courts today
==========================================
By Shakeel Anjum
ISLAMABAD: Deposed judges of the Supreme Court and Sindh High Court would go to their offices and preside over their respective courts today (Monday), sources close to these judges told The News.
A meeting to discuss the future strategy was held at the residence of Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry on Monday, the sources said, adding, most of the deposed judges including Justice Bhagwandas and Justice Javed Iqbal attended.
The sources said the meeting reviewed the constitutional crisis after imposition of emergency in the country and legal position of the “sacked judges. The judges at the meeting chaired by the CJ averred that they were still active and could continue court work. The judges decided to go to the Supreme Court as routine to attend their offices, the sources concluded.
Online/NNI add: In Karachi, the ousted Chief Justice of Sindh High Court Justice Sabihuddin Ahmed said that judges who refused to take oath under the Provincial Constitution Order will go to duty today (Monday).
BBC quoted Justice Sabihuddin Ahmed as saying that the judges will perform their duties as of routine. Separately talking to reporters Justice Sabihuddin said he and his colleague judges have not received any notification of removal from services and he would turn on their duty along with his twenty-three colleagues and conduct hearings of the cases as usual.
He, however, said that he could not say anything whether or not the police will arrest him on Monday while going to office. Justice Sabihuddin said he received a verdict of the Supreme Court on Saturday night through fax. According to the unanimous decision of seven judges of the apex court, he said, no judge will take oath under PCO.
Appointment of any judge and chief justice of High Courts and Supreme Court under PCO will be declared unconstitutional and illegal, Justice Sabihuddin maintained. No contact has been made with the government so far, he disclosed.
He said it has come to the notice that some judges were convened in Governor House but no opinion had been sought from them. The personnel of security forces are taking government vehicles and guards back by saying that he is not chief justice of Sindh High Court, he told the BBC.
Meanwhile, former President Supreme Court Bar Association Munir A Malik advocate while talking to journalists said after the imposition of PCO, all the constitutional judges assembled at the residence of a judge of Sindh High Court and took a mutual decision that as the Supreme Court has described the PCO as unconstitutional, the courts would continue to perform their duties as per the constitution and all the judges would go to the courts on Monday. Meanwhile, the Sindh High Court Bar Association has announced that no lawyer will attend the courts of those judges who took oath under the PCO.

Dont worry brother, we are with you. The truth will win in the end.
We must continue to support the CJ and Politicians like Javed Hashmi, Aitizaz Ahsan and Imran Khan. These people are our real leaders.
Dont give up hope. We must ask ALLAH for his help and mercy and as HE has promised that if we are steadfast HE will help.
CJ was standing up for poor people and was giving them Justice.ALLAH (SWT) will make him victorious inshallah.
November 5th, 2007 at 3:09 am
One makes you think NS and SS are exiled. IK, Aitizaz Ahsan, Javed Hashmi are in Jail.
CJ is house arrested.
Only BB and Fazlu are roaming free. This is the time for both of them to show solidarity and unify the oppostion. Bring out the people and protest.
One the oppostion is unified the Generals and his cronies will be gone a very short time. Inshallah.
November 5th, 2007 at 3:10 am
Mush has destroyed the image of the Pak Army and it is a golden chance for gen Kiyani to restore this image by arresting Mush, tied him in front of President house along with PMLQ leadership and invite all Pakis to come and spit at their faces. I think its worthwhile to take a flight from Australia, spit at their faces and come back. Act Gen Kiyani now otherwise people will not forget you either.
November 5th, 2007 at 3:21 am

very rightly said..

i want to add that busharraf deserves to be tortured to extreme extent before execution…
November 5th, 2007 at 3:26 am
Mush, the Constitution Breaker and People’s rights usurper, have traded 25 taliban prisoners for exchange of 200 Army Heejras. He is blaming the CJ that SC released 61 prisoners… Now people can judge themselves. Shame on us. I salute the Judges who have decried the illegal PCO Version 2007, All officers both Civilian and Military are bound to obey the Supreme Court verdict and no body should follow the order of Mush the Usurper.

I think media is under pressure. I looked at Jang’s editorial and it was full of irrelevant columns with main columnists missing.
While their channel is asking for suggestions on how to improve media behaviour. It is sad to see that our media is not playing its role.

It is only Imran Khan who has shown full condemnation. BB comes second and she seems a bit careful. Still she is very courageous given the situation. Poor NS has no option. He is under arrest in Saudi Arabia (definition of arrest includes take away right to move freely).
To be honest I think our politicians have again shown that educated lawyers will lead us again. I have full confidence in Aitzaz and Justice Iftihar. People are waiting for their call.

Honestly, I wish all of you luck since it is heart warming the sincerity all of you exhibit. It truly is commendable :)but lets not be so hasty and lets see how things play out. I would’nt like any of us eating humble pie if certain political people allign themselves with him. We expats know how hard it is to balance work and family and loyalties out of Pakistan for people who place our loyalty at minimal value. Lets wait for some time and see how active political forces in pakistan behave before we “with nothing to gain and everything to loose” put our convinctions to the test. (Call me a loser;) however I tend to think that people like us will be used and discarded very soon by the same political forces we champion!

I would like to ask the traitor SC registrar who claims “No order against PCO” (from Dawn.comcom/2007/11/05/top7.htm), how come the traitor CJ “over-rules order on annulling” the very same order(ibnlive.com/news/new-pak-cj-overrules-order-on-annulling-emergency/51725-2.html)?

Geo Audio link seems not to be working anymore (atleast from Lahore)
November 5th, 2007 at 6:31 am
Many people are not going to like what I will say here:
1- BB said that we are negotiating with Mush to avoid Martial Law. Have we waited for couple of weeks, we would have a better scenario.
2- After having conversations with political workers, I think there will be not a huge agitation unless something changes drastically in next 24 hours.
3- Rather than considering above two comments as demoralizing. We must consider that the ordinary people of Pakistan do not get excited by rule of law and constitution as we all are guilty of depriving them of there rights. The true hard working Pakistanis such as driver, cook, butler, gardener, and sweeper are negated their rights by the religious elite, liberal elite, military, political leadership, police, army, and regime. If we want to earn their trust, we must change our habits of exploiting the weak. We all do that.
Still if BB & NS can aggressively agree to bring people in the streets, we can muster enough pressure to force regime. Otherwise, we’ll dance like monkeys and then accept new realities.

Our tinpot General came on television and told a balatant lie , that the Supreme court was helping terrorists and releasing them. The two so-called judges Nawaz Abbasi and Javaid Butter were the hearing the case of Lal Masjid on a Suo Moto notice of Nawaz Abbasi. Both of these Judges have taken oath under PCO. This was great conspiracy against the upright judges of the supreme court. General is trying to fool US and Western countries by telling them that he is fighting their war on terror. He is actually supporting the terrorists. How rediculous it is to say that “Justice Rana Bhagwan Das” a non-muslim judge was supporting islamic terrorist.
We must understand that all the corrupt and judges who had links with those terrorist have taken oath under PCO.

Mush is a smart man. The only way to quell these rumors is to appear on live TV. I am not convinced that everything is good.
The statements fronm western capitals and official earlier today, in effect, pulled out the rug from under his feet.
Just read these reports:
http://www.guardian.co.uk/frontpage/story/0,,2205389,00.html
http://www.guardian.co.uk/international/story/0,,2205300,00.html
Even today he put down the US and British ambassadors, refusing to give a schedule for elections and for doffing his uniform.
Eveything may be fine, but Mush is standing on thin ice.
Islamabad is rife with rumors of a coup though.

November 5th, 2007 at 9:46 am
Well some time ago I said(some other people said that too) overhere that after the elections there would be tripod style of power setup b/w mushy, bb, and nawaz sharif that would be supported by the west, as US needs this stanility for atleast 2/3 years. In an address hillary clinton mentioned in the summer this year that for leaving iraq we would atleast need a year or two, so during that time she would need stability elsewhere including afghanistan. Therefore US beleived this arrangement with mushy at the top would work by some US manipulation.
Now the situation in pakistan has lost all its predictability. Its too unpredictable.
There are many solutions to this problem. Some are radical, some are stupid, some show cowardice….well what the heck its pakistan.
1.
Nawaz sharif and BB cometogether. Make some sort of arrangement to go ahead with elections and press on having elections on time. They fight the elections in such a way that they dont compete directly against eachother. By preplanned arrangement one of them would get the government for next 5 years. After elections they would oust the chief by popular majority thus abolishing emergency in pakistan. In this case i presume the elections were held in emergency conditions. PML-Q in this situation has lost it all and so has musharraf. Kiani takes over as the chief after some sort of arrangement or military coup. Still very complicated solution. In this case the west thinks the Mush-BB deal isnt feasible. And it tries to find new allies for BB, and starts approaching the sharif bros via the saudis. US would want the sharifs to quell the fundos by taking over their votebank and be in power in nwfp and punjab and would want benazir to be in power in sindh.
2. Everybody rises up now, the judiciary, the politicians and the people and put so much pressure on mushy that he has to step down - even his generals ask him to step down. Thus he comes on the tv like ayub khan did and apologizes for the emergency and steps down as chief and holds elections under new caretaker government. But I think this wont happen probably. Because this time people wont come out as the CJ wont be there to be part of rallies. So i dont know i people have the will to march to Justice Enclave in islamabad to get him out of his house. Else he escapes by magic.
3. US tries to stick to musharraf support and asks BB to stick the plan as well by indirectly supporting this emergency by allowing the pco to be passed by the current assembly. Overthere is again a chance for rallies and protests but I think they would not be useful enough as this time the judge wont be around. But in this situation there would be support from the west for musharraf’s emergency - they would be sorry or disappointed about it. But they would be content with it in the end. And would think that the BB-Mush deal is still possible.
Conclusion:
I myself support the 1st case and thats why i put it first. I would be worried if 2 is true and really shocked if 3 happens because it would make mushy more spoiled and blind to the blunders he is doing.
November 5th, 2007 at 9:59 am
Let’s hope that the rumor is true.. I am getting excited. There are three reasons for my excitement.
1. The people who are denying this news are up until now Tariq Azeem and Rashid Quershi. Both of them are civillians. Usually such a high profile rumor will be denied immediatey by the DG ISPR. DG ISPR is supposed to come on television immediately. As far as I know about the so-called descipline in Pakistan Army, DG ISPR is supposed to be the first one to deny any rumor against his COAS.
2. General has not appeared on television since this news broke. This was important as in order to keep the rank and file in the army calm, he was suppose to make a public appearance.
3. General is not in the army house instead he is in the President house in Islamabad.
November 5th, 2007 at 10:04 am
So many people I know are under arrest. One friend of mine called me from Lahore High Court library and he was whispering because he wanted to do something srious before getting arrested.
A Barrister friend called me from Karachi about Mush House arrest. I pray that this becomes reality soon!!

November 5th, 2007 at 10:13 am
If Gen Musharraf can break teh consitution why cannot Gen Kiyani. We all request him to please step in and get rid of this mad man, hold fair and free elections and restore the image of the army and country.
It has been widely said and even in PCO its mentioned that teh Supreme Court released those 61 terrorists and they are roaming free. But who freed them - PCO Justice Faqir Muhammad Khokar and PCO Justice Abassi
Plus BBC has reported that Musharraf has released 25 Taliban in exchange of 250 army personnel in Swat.
Suo moto action regarding Lal Masjid was also taken by teh Justice Abassi and Justice Khokhar and both have taken oath.
Musharraf has lied to Pakistani nation and lied to Western Media and Western countries. He is playing double game with the west. Why is not a single person from religioius parties of JUI which has links with extremists Taliban been arrested and why there is only mild condemnation.
PPP has decided to condemn the PCO but not agitate against it.
Such are the double standards in this countries and I am ashmed being a Pakistani today that we have now stooped so low.
Let the West know that now because there is no rule of Law in Pakistan so a field for extremists have been left open and now Pakistan is going to worse than Iraq because Pakistan people would turn against army itself.
Lets see what your intelligence agencies do now.
Only General Kiyani can save Pakistan by removing Gen Musharraf and dissolving these so called puppet National Assembly and Provincial Assembly. I would request all those who have in contacts in Army through whatever mean plead and request Gen Kiyani to take action - and he has justification to do so because teh Supreme Court has declared PCO illegal. So we request Gen Kiyani to step in and save Pakistan and Pakistan army if he is a man of conscience and he is a Muslim and true Pakistani.

jang says its a rumour that mush is under house arrest
November 5th, 2007 at 10:21 am
@chussain,
Let me add this. Gen. Kiyani should not take over the country. His only job should be to overthrough the General , reinstate CJ and the judges. Ask Senate chairman to take over as president. He must not talk to any politician. He must not even leave his office in Army house and should salute president. It should be exactly as written in 1973 constitution.
If he does anything more than that, then let me tell you he is no better than General Musharraf.
November 5th, 2007 at 10:23 am
The general secretary of PPPP has said that he can not confirm the strong rumors of Mush’s house arrest. He can not confirm the situation at this point but trying to assess the situation. This was stated to me in our conversation. He was in Islamabad.

Just read this , the police has taken over jang karachi. They have stopped them to publish the supplement.
November 5th, 2007 at 10:27 am
If BB claims that 3 million people came out for her, Nawaz sharif also expected over million, Qazi always talked about million march…
Then why not all political parties call their million supporter? I am sure Rouge Army will not stand one day!! but all parties are just watching and making comments that I have grown up listening.
160 million people country and still believe an other General as a man to take us out of this. time to rethink!!!
November 5th, 2007 at 10:28 am
where did u read this peja
any other details? what supplement were they printing?
November 5th, 2007 at 10:29 am
@farhan,
that’s a bad news. I was hoping against hope.
November 5th, 2007 at 10:30 am
@ahmed
i agree bro. and i agree with sheikh rasheed on this as well. on numerous occassions he has said that the day 1 million ppl come out against the govt. we’ll have no choice but to go home. no army can stand against 1 million countrymen.
November 5th, 2007 at 10:31 am
This is from “Omar Querishi” on pakistaniat.com
“BTW the police has arrived at Jang’s printing press in Sultanabad in Karachi – is preventing the management from taking out a supplement of its Urdu evening paper, Awam – was in a meeting when this was being discussed

we shld also condemn pppp along with busharraf……pppp is also playing games….bb was looking so happy after so many days when emergency was announced….reason is that her NRO was going to be cancelled but now it wouldnt be cancelled…..i wonder if emergency was part of deal with pppp ..????
November 5th, 2007 at 10:37 am
@ imran malik
BB is one of the most currupt ppl in our country. i dont believe for a second she left pak ‘to meet her family’. sheikh rasheed in his interview after she left said to kashif abassi that she actually stayed a day over ‘according to the deal’.
November 5th, 2007 at 10:40 am
@farhan
yes and durrani was also saying before she came that she will be moving back and forth (Aati jaati rehey gi)
November 5th, 2007 at 10:43 am
BB is playing the role of an astute politician which we needed in absence of Nawabzada. She is trying to convince Military to go to barracks without any bloodshed. The emotional people can not understand the logic of her comments. Even if she is playing the games, she’s the first one to call this act as Martial Law and unacceptable.
By the way, whatever she is doing NS is with her.

I think even if the rumours are not true but they have done the job what they are supposed to have done - they have created mistrust between the army command and now Musharraf would not trust his own generals. This is called psychlogical warfare and it should go on. Musharraf has made the biggest mistake of his life - at least before he would hear everything from the media and now because he has shut down that and he has shut down Supreme Court - so now he has made himself vulnerable to extraconsitutional steps which others can also take against him.
I think these rumours would give ideas to the army command and the more strong these rumours would be and the more uncertainity it would be - Gen Kiyani would be compelled to step in and remove this mad man.
I agree with my colleague above that Mian Muhammd Sumorro Chairman Senate should take over as President and Gen Kiyani as Chief of Army Staff because in any case the tenure of Musharraf as Army Chief is going to end on Nov 14.
So Gen Kiyani has all the reason to step in and finsih this once for all.
November 5th, 2007 at 10:47 am
@ Raja
you are entitled to your opinion my friend. i respectfully disagree.
November 5th, 2007 at 10:49 am
@chussain,
Can not agree more. The rumor of change of command in Army is not a joke. This is considered most serious matter in the army. I still hope something is cooking within. The general is most vulnerable at this time.
November 5th, 2007 at 10:50 am
@ farhan
I respect your opinion as well.
November 5th, 2007 at 10:50 am
although my heart says gen. kiyani should overthrow mush. my mind says these guys are very strict about their chains of command. i doubt gen. kiyani would do something like this. he has been with musharraf long enough to go against him.
but i hope he does.

The users of Pakistan politics can see geo live using this links

It works sometime good some time bad any way it is better than nothing.
November 5th, 2007 at 10:54 am
Since Mush consulted all chiefs, vice chief, corp comd. etc. so only one theory from Mr. nayyar Zaidi (Washington) supports such rumor, who said once to Dr. Shahid Masood that all supporters first ensure their support and as soon that action is taken (martial law) they will withdraw by saying that situation has worsen and they no longer can support.
I guess (although it has been denied for now) that any such counter action will also take away some corp comd. & other chiefs as well. other wise…

I am praying………
