Opportunists of middle-classes in Pakistan are opposing Musharraf. None of them is willing to lay down his life for “Democracy” or “civil liberties”. Lawyers’ is the community which sucks the blood of poor farmers and workers, and does not pay tax; how could they work for the “rule of law?”

@ Azra Shahnaz
FYI: I am leaving for Pakistan to lay down my life for solidarity with the lawyers and journalists. By the way, I pay taxes in US.

read the full declaration of PCO on BBC website. It states that:
Now, therefore, in pursuance of the deliberations and decisions of the said meetings, I General Pervez Musharraf, Chief of Army Staff, proclaim emergency throughout Pakistan.
I hereby order and proclaim that the constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan shall remain in abeyance.
This proclamation shall come into force at once.
So its obvious that it was not ENFORCED by the president, it was the person of Chief of army staff, who imposed this Martial Law
So come what may… May the impotent dictator be Damned!
