Halloween is in full swing in Pakistan. Except that it is real. It is sinister in nature and cowardly at best. It is where person holding the gun is dictating your life and death. It is where sole purpose of power preservation is taking one man to Draconian heights. It is where extremism is flourishing like an evil bed of poisonous roses. It is where real battlefield is becoming murky and false opponents are being targeted. I am appalled and disappointed. I have never been so disgusted and ruthlessly pained. This just seems begining of an end; a long painful end of a state, founded on noble principles. It is where 160 million people are being caged and deprived.
It is where a Gillette 3 series shaved, sharply dressed, English speaking, a person close to resembling a known kid’s evil cartoon character Mandarak in Dexter’s laboratories is conducting all evil experiments. How pathetic and visible obscene his desires are shaping is any body’s guess right now. Anyone who calls him a moderate needs to have his head checked and barred from doing any work until that person starts making sense. Are we ever going to stand tall with those who are real moderates? Are we ever going to understand that siding with a gun man not going to save our house? Is their any person who has any doubts about who is wrong and who is right. Plainly speaking this is it. This is where you decide, are we heading towards another Iraq or Lebanon or we want peaceful, cohesive nation. We are hostage to one mans whims and desires. He failed to deliver and he is dishonest. He is only interested in self preservation. I don’t see lawyers and activists holding guns. I don’t see judges committing suicide attacks. I don’t see intellectuals committing treason. Do you? I don’t know why anyone would not condemn it. I don’t know why west would not cut off aid. Aid that is not going to poor and needy but to military incorporated. Aid that is not going to curb militancy but to pay those terrorists in shalwar and kameezs! Who are those any ways? Where is this state sponsored terrorism heading towards? It is bizarre and sickening. How contradictory and pathetic is that sight where burly elite are ordering their personal in command to surrender to few hundred Taliban. And then those very solders are tried for treason? Where there is not effort to negotiate but only solution is to bomb whoever descents. I don’t have heart to elaborate all these injustices. Sad but true I am ashamed of my race.

It’s like a military with a country rather then a country with a military. And remember that dictatorship needs extremists and extremists needs dictatorship, dictatorship needs these fanatic-extremists to justify there illegitimate rule and extremist needs dictatorship to prosper as they have never prospered in this history of this country as they did in General-Zia and now General Musaharraf time. Never in the history of Pakistan the religious parties secured more then 5% of the vote in elections (in 1997 general elections only 1 member of these religious parties was elected to a 100 member assembly of Frontier Province) unless in 2002 general election under the kind hand/supervision of dictatorship wherein they were given the blessng of forming a government in Frontier Province which is being projected as extremly religious and extremist society but one finds the relity when u visit and spend some time in that society that these extremist forms hardly 5% of that province/society’s and are obiously being funded from outside wheras the vast majority of that society are moderate and even secular.
