@kruman
This is a breaking news. As the conspiracy theory goes the current corps commanders were against the deal with BB, in the 103rd corps commanders conference on November 10th it was reported in some of the media that majority of corps commanders were against the deal with BB , and a minority of the corps commander were not in favor of emergency/martial law. It is also known that Kiyani was not Musharraf’s first choice as COAS. Tariq Majid who was Corps Commander at Rawalpindi and who also lead the Operations Silence (Lal Masjid) was the Musharraf’s first choice. However being the head of ISI and having good contacts in US Kiyani was more acceptable to US and within Army.
So this is first news that Kiyani is asserting his authority. It was also reported in media today that Kiyani held a meeting with Mush at his army house. Which was not reported by ISPR though.
If Kiyani has actually reshuffled the Rawalpindi Corps commander befor Monday , then I would suspect Turkis president Gul’s visit is for Mush’s relocation.
Army after great efforts got rid of a General(Musharraf). They had to be very very patient and careful in this context.
Expressions of Musharraf showed that he was leaving the post of Army Chief under compulsion! He was a bitter pill for the Army but i feel that Army has learnt a great lesson from him.
I also hope that our Politicians also have learnt their lesson and will not appoint people in Army by bypassing the deserving ones e.g. in case of Mr. Musharraf, he was brought from down(bypassing higher generals) and made head of Army and then everyone had fun!!!
Can we conduct a poll and present that result to kyani ,that where we want mush’s body to be hanged ,,, ….his body should be preserved for public viewing and to start a ritual ,of pelting the stones at shetaaan…
Peja,
Surprisingly the media is mum about these developments. As for the source of this info (SSS of Atimes.com) he is know to be very close to ISI.
I think Muhsin Kamal is the core commander of Rawalpindi. I am not sure if he one of the MQM certified Mush loyalists, I think he is. So that is the big question indeed, has Muhsin Kamal been moved out?
As for the news that Mush is still in army house, it makes the job easy for Kiyani. Not even a word leaks out as Musharraf is nabbed by the 10th core based in Pindi.
@zenith,
My real point is distrust between Mush and Kiyani, however apparently Kiyani does have the soft corner for BB , however that will not be his real contention with Mush I am sure.
***************TO ALL PLZ READ*********
My wife told me yesterday that in NADIA KHAN show she saw a clipping of a BAR being constructed in NY MANHATTAN ,it has a shape of khaana kaaba…(naoozubillah)…and it is reported that once constructed this bar will be called APPLE MACCA…
can some body eleborate on it ,is it true…
if it is then we shld do some thing about it..
After BB’s statement a few weeks ago calling upon US to cut aid to army, there was a lot of resentment against her amongst the corps commanders.
The way things are developing is this:
Mush trying to get BB on his side and BB willing to play along. Army as an institution does not like BB, neither her corruption nor her statements against the army. The would rather prefer NS or SS over BB.
In this context I see Musharraf as a liability rather than as asset for the army.
its not only cube replica ,as per reports its color and every thing is being replicated…and they are gonna give it name apple macca….is it not a big deal???
Peja,
I am not sure if Kiyani indeed has a soft corner for BB. Kiyani is a true professional who does not let things get in the way he does his job. He was BB’s laison as an army officer. He went to BB to make a deal on Mush’ behalf BECAUSE people who are weak make deals. And BB has a lot of skeletons in her closet.
It was reported in Asia Times yesterday that Kiyani had a one hour conversation with NS where NS clarified that he has nothing but respect for the army.
@imran malik,
Yes the real heros are Judges lead by CJ.
I have theory though , after watching “Missing Person” documentary I felt that it started with this lady Mrs. Amna Janjua who one day took two of her children and went in front of the ISI headquarters with a banner to release her husband.
With my 10 years in Islamabad, I can not believe that someone can even talk about ISI let alone do a protest in front its headquarters.
With the passage of time those unnamed aged relatives of missing persons started rising their voice against ISI.
They were nothing I stress they were nothing for ISI.
But then these people reach SC and CJ starts hearing this case. CJ looks at these people who are downtrodden, weakest on the earth and sees their strength and courage.
Next day CJ is called by the Dictator and the generals who ask him to resign.
And guess what CJ would have thought if those 70 - 80 years old nobodies can stand in front of the mightiest on this land of pure. He being the Chief Justice of Pakistan , must have the courage to stand tall.
And bingo .. A man is reborn, a man with courage, conviction and strength to give and do justice with the people.
Looking at their CJ, the rest of judges realized who they are and what they should do.
“It is not great men who shape the events in history” Leo Tolstoy.
It is totally wrong to say that Kiyani was against the deal eith BB.bcos he is actually the mastermind behind all that.He was the one who serve benazir as military secretary.And for that particular reason he was promoted to ISI cheif.Because the previous ISI cheif was not successful with talks with BB. And he is the one who convince BB to a deal.
As far as Army is concerned it is always against ppp due to Z A Bhutto factor.Because he was the one who told the army their true place i.e in the barracks and border not in the capital.
story goes like this
“In the business area of MID TOWN MAN HEATON in New Yorka new BAR is opened in the name of APPLE MECCA which is familiar to KAABA MACCA .This bar will be used supply of VINE and Drinks. The Muslims of New York are pressurizing Govt of USA to not open this BAR”
I had got that email long aog about this Apple Macca and we also thought what you are thinking. However it has been investigated and its not called Macca. The shape is like that and it is APPle meaning Apple Computer product store.
This is just another disinformation - as far as i know but maybe i am wrong - i wish someone from NY to clarify this.
I personally feel that deal between BB and PM was also to get rid of Mr. Musharraf, so that he gets chances to become a civilian president and leaves Army. Otherwise Mr. Musharraf would have been staying their for much longer.
I hope and pray that new Army Chief does not make same mistakes and takes wise and deep decisions.
No alcohol is served there. Apple is not stupid to do such a thing - they would lose business all over the world.
Remember one thing - unlike Christians who at times do lots of stupid things like danish cartoons etc but Jews are very shrewd businessmen and they would do the last thing to ruin their business
@ zaheer
I believe that there is only one thing that can save pakistan; a hero has to emerge from within the army. Gen kiyani is a wise man but he is a US poodle as well, he will do whatever US tells him too. May be US realized that Mush has failed to negotiate with BB, so they r getting rid of the entire mush system.Its all a game.
Well that is just hypothetical - anyone can build buildings of a rectangular and square shape. We can only object to the naming thats all. But I think it should be investigated first rather than just accepting what is being said. I want someone in NEW YORK to confirm it before it is accepted.
my wife saw the clipping and she said the bar is being constructed and it resembles the khana kaaba (naoozubillah) and they are giving it name apple macca…
Nadia Khan is not reliable - she should have checked it first - but anyway I would still want someone from New York Manahattan should confirm this who can actually see it. Actually I got an email regarding it four months ago and then someone wrote in response that it is not true.
i live in washington dc ,i might go to ny next year and will check then..but i did a search on google and found this
In the business area of MID TOWN MAN HEATON in New Yorka new BAR is opened in the name of APPLE MECCA which is familiar to KAABA MACCA .This bar will be used supply of VINE and Drinks. The Muslims of New York are pressurizing Govt of USA to not open this BAR
I am not as good as @Peja and others in filling n the missing shades but I’ll still try.
There’s a lot going on behind the scenes:
- NS/Kiyani 1 hour phone converation
- Kiyani refusing to appoint a vice chief
- Kiyani reshuffling the top brass in the army
- Kim Baker in Chicago tribune reporting that an ex-office in Mush’ administration saying that Kiyani may remove the emergency on his own.
In the background of all this Musharraf met Kiyani, a meeting that has not been acknowlegded by ISPR. Musharraf is very apprehensive and insecure. He met Kiyani just to feel him out i.e. where does he stand and whether he is palnning a coup of his own. In @Peja’s words he is trying to decide whether to take the flight to Turkey or not.
But Kiyani is poker-faced former spy who never shows his feelings:)
I posted my comments atleast 5 times on the shutdown of the Geo tv on GEO website and I spoke in favour of the government. Every time I tried, My comments were censored and not put on this website, which shows that Geo is biased and they are just confronting the government for thier personal interests and to gain cheap popularity. Below were my comments.
Well, I think that Geo itself is responsible for this shutdown. The government showed lot of tolerance before this decision of shutting down all the channel was taken. Now, I heard that government is planning to open all the channel except one, and I think it would be Geo. In my opinion media was not showing the responsibility and was not following the code of ethics correctly and was just critisizing the government. I live in USA and I can certainly say this, and I wont be exaggeratting when I say this that, before Nov 3rd, Pakistani media was more freer than the media in America. There was not even a concept of censor ship on Pakistani Media at all, Media was showing the dead bodies of people and suicide bombers without even first giving the warnings. I think that some of the Pakistani media abuses it and didnot fullfill responsilbility in a right fashion.
Lets take an example of USA, the biggest free enterprise in the world. The US government told the media not to show the body bags of dead american soldiers, that are being killed in Iraq and Afghanistan, so that the people of america wont get too offended and start demanding the return of the soldiers. The american media complied and didnot show any thing like that on tv media as well as press media.
Unfortunately, in Pakistan, some of the channels were just bashing the government and they were trying to make things more difficult for the government to handle. So, I think that this SHUTDOWN was rightly imposed by the government, and now government needs to give all tv channels a Code of Ethics, to keep them under control.
One more thing I want to add, There is a difference between News and Propoganda. American media, on the american government’s signal, were scaring us about the weapons of Mass Destruction. But later on, we found that there were no Weapons of Mass Destruction rather, they were Weapons of Mass Distraction, to distract people from the deteriorating economy. So, we got to be really smart and sensible to know the difference between news and propoganda, and I think Geo was spreading more propoganda then News.
actually i have been trying to put up a link but its not accepting and is being moder@ated.
It says that this cube is actually a GLASS CUBE and not a black cube and its an IPOD store and undergound music is downloaded thats why its called bar and not because of alcohol. actually i have been trying to put up a link but its not accepting and its being mod-erated
Go in Yahoo and type in Apple Mecca and you would get a link and you can confirm it yourself
Are you ISI agent - this is an old argument so please leave it. If they dont show body bags that is not because they are more American but because they dont want to accept that they are losing and they dont want that morale of their army should go down because they know they are fighting an unjust war.
Now in Pakistan have you ever seen Geo showing body bags of army soldiers - never - so please give this argument to someone else.
The most important thing is that Pakistan goverment and military has been involved in so many illegal activities that they dont want it to be exposed at all - they have looted teh country right and left and they are scared that in courts they would be exposed.
If America is so worried about human rights and all that and you are saying our media is irresponsible then why did America showed the hanging of Saddam Hussain and bodies of his sons.
@clhussian,
Because of sentimental ppl like you, Pakistan is in this deep hole.
Actually, you also acknowledged my point and sadly, you dont even know that. You said, that there is a reason that American media is not allowed to show the body bags, becuause they dont want to demoralize the american ppl and they showed the Saddam’s hanging to show the american ppl that the government is winning. Their media is supporting the government to let them acheive their agenda, whereas, in Pakistan, Pakistani media was just showing the depressing news and private channels were competing to try to showing the news with more Mirch Masala.
Thats what I say that yhe media should be independent, but when the National interst comes, media should be supporting the government., as what happens in US over the Patriot Act. So, Please dont be an Oxy Moron, by calling others an ISI agent or Non-sense.
Every now and then some agency guy comes here to do some mush flattering and after a failed attempt runaway….this guy will runaway too dont worry….mush is naked…pmlq has been naked..they all are brutally exposed….they can;t hide…..world is laughing at them….we wouldnt spare them this time…this establishment will have to give in this time….they have looted enough
since mush has control on almost every media outlet…may be some day he will think about bannning this website as well…
i would imagine him to say something like this
MAIN NE http://WWW.PKPOLITICS KO AZAAADI DI EEYY…
MAIN IS PER BAN LEGAATA HOON…..
YE EXTREMISM PHELAAATI EY….
YE KHUDKUSH HEMLON KI ZIMEDAAAAR EEYY…
PAKISTAN FIRST….
I am not emotional but what I dont like is that when people like to justify telling lies in the name of national security.
USSR used to feed the same lies to its people and see what happened - Soviet union disappeared from face of earth
pakistan military used to tell lies to its people and while on 16 DEc we were surrendering at Dhaka - Yayha wanted us to believe that we are winning - under this so called doctrine of security
Even now military is telling lies whats happening in Swat, Tribal Areas and Baluchistan and one day we are going to wake up and realise what have we done.
Why should we follow America. We are Muslims and Allah has ordained upon us that we speak truth and nothing but the truth.
I am sure if George Bush had been in Yazid era he would have even declared Hazrat Imam Hussain as terrorist and Yazid like Musharraf would have justified action against Hazrat Imam Hussain as nothing but for the security of newly founded Islamic nation.
Why are we shy from telling and accepting truth? Why do we have to tell lies? Thats all I want to ask?
Major General Ayaz Saleem Rana is likely to replace Nadeem Ejaz as DG MI. Nadeem Ejaz, the outgoing DG MI is a relative and a known loyalist of Musharraf.
You live in USA and you support them - tell me how do they treat you when you travel by air from Pakistan to America
One thing I am amazed. Whenever I travel from UK or Ireland to Pakistan when I am leaving no one checks my passport at UK or Ireland airports but when I am entering Pakistan and leaving Pakistan I am photographed and my particulars are checked like that of any Pakistani in teh terrorist list provided by USA.
Why is that? Why does Musharraf humiliates us - his own country men just in name of terror.
i agree when the national intrest comes media should support gov but the thing is musharaf is the security risk for pakistan thats y every single person who love pk is against him i used to like him but wat he done in last couple of years r great blunders he risked the integraty of pakistan wat was the last time u heard anything abt kashmir v have alomost forgotten it coz v r so much messed up in our own border thnx to musharaf he is now just trying to save his own skin no matter how much it will cost to nation
This is in particular for all Mush lovers - a very deep analysis on what is happening in Swat and how the incidents were used to justify Emergency and how everything has suddenly settled once the objection of illegal election was achieved.
they are not his lovers they r his paaalttoooo agents…..but its just the matter of time when they leave him and find some other kuttta to worship….
they are all oppurtunists who worship the rising sun without any moral /ethical justification….
here is the list of chamchaaaas in the media …
1-kamran khan
2-nazir naji
3-ch fawwad (write coulumn in jang)
4-irshad haqqani (bb chamcha)

qayum malik,kasoori ,shareef peerzaada,hafeez peerzaada,naeem bukhari,sm zafar,
in politics
maulana fazal,bb,pml q lota party…
list goes on and on
By the way if everyone remembers the present emergency was imposed by the COAS not the President, does that mean that Mush’s recent statement that HE will lift emergency is wrong and actually it is the COAS Kiyani would lift the emergency. He might keep it there or he may lift it before 16th Dec if he is assertive. He is already showing those signs and has started structuring the Army command. Any views?
couple of weeks back ,mush issued an order that he transfers the right to lift emergency from coas to president….so he took care of that before he left army….
but even then army can do any thing if it wants to in pakistan…so kyani can do whatever he feels like ..because remember there is no constituition and law for army….
its only for civilians…
Infact Kiyani defends and restores the consitution by moving against Musharraf. Before dec 16, Kiyani will move against Musharraf restoring the constitution and the judiciary. He’ll be hailed as a hero and people will be throwing petals on the Pak army.
Kiyani is too smart to miss this golden opportunity to salvage and restore the honor of Pakistan army.
If Kiyani does that to Musharraf where would Musharraf go - would he go to supreme court because it would be full of lotas who would not waste time to change their loyalities to the new comer. Musharraf is riding on a tiger from whom he cannot come down - because if he does the tiger is going to eat him up.
If Kiyani removes Musharraf he would not be doing anything against the consitution because he would be following the order of the legal SC bench which declared emergency as invalid. So Kiyani in fact would be abiding by his oath and he would be the hero of this nation and forever his name would be written in golden letters in the history of Pakistan
@Farooq Ahmed,
I think you better stick to the current problem and not compare USA and PK because USA has 220 years of history and PK is just 60 year old but even then if we compare US media with PK media then I would say US media is more biased as it tells the news only what they want. I never heared of any good thing about PK from US media but all fundamentalisim in PK. I dont see in US medeia that Mushraf ia making PK a modern state and celebrate Basant event. I dont see in US media how pop music is diffusing very fast in PK culture. I dont see in US media anything what Mushraf claims about modern PK but the suiside bombing, beating woman, anti American slogan in NWFP etc. My understanding it that US media is most biased then any media in the world. So lets dont deviate from the problem and stick with the original question. Atleast try to convince us by solid arguments.
Thanks
Thanks Imran. Then i think it is difficult for Kiyani to do anything at the moment, but watch out on the changes that Kiyani is about to do in the Army. People are expecting major reshuffle at Pondi, Mangla and Lahore Corps, if the ISI and MI cheifs are replaced Kiyani will become stronger than Bush. Remember when Mush demanded resignation from the CJ it was them two who were more eager than thier Boss not Kiyani who had kept quiet and did not support the action and actually kept ISI out of it. He is already talking to BB and NS.
By the way it would be very disappointing for Musharraf that Ch Shujjat and Pervez Elahi were the first ones to congratulate Kiani on become COAS - they are real lotas and now Musharraf would also realise how people change overnight - he would fully realise it the day he is no more a President - these two jokers would treat him worse than Shaukat Aziz
Can you imagine Pervez Elahi until recently was saying that he would get Musharraf re-elected in uniform 5-10 times.
Well now Musharraf can wear that uniform at home and Sebha can say hundred times that My Lord you are elected
@People say that Pak has history of 60 years - that is not true - we have history of more than 1000 years - in that Muslims ruled subcontinent for more than four centuries. So this 60 years is nothing.
Robert Oakley has suggested that Washington should facilitate discussions between the military and civilian leaders on appointing a senior civilian to serve as interim president, replacing Musharraf. “An interim president could then prepare for truly free and fair elections and a return to the rule of law.” In essence, he advocates an alibi for Washington to reconcile with Sharif whi is s starong factor in Pak Politics.
Can you please upload Capital Talk@Footpath of Nov 28th?
Also, can someone post links to actual news stories about Kayani undo-ing Musharraf? Or are they just rumours?
I would tend to think that Kayani is loyal to Musharraf. He wouldn’t like to displease America by packing Musharraf and sending him to Turkey. But that is just my opinion.
Shahbaz Sharif and Nawaz Sharif have met political leaders of their parties for party opinions in Lahore and Karachi. I thought they could have felt the reaction of the people during their arrival in Lahore. But the workers and candidates for elections are insisting on taking part in elections.
I think this is about time, they should realise the demand of the people. I know they have been out of the scene for quite sometime now and would be expecting to get into the parliament with full strenght but this would be totally against the will of the people. People only want their previous judiciary which could give them justice how weak they themselves could be to ask for. and they won’t trust any party in elections if they don’t get their judiciary back.
@Rihat asked why i have said that Kiyani is talking to NS and BB. Kiyani has been given ISI as could talk to BB to reconcile and he proved himself. Then he wasn’t the first choice of Mush it was Gen. Majeed but it is reported that US and BB supported Kiyani. So I am in no doubt that Kiyani is talking to BB> As for NS. NS has a strong support in the Army. the high command is also traditionally more comfy woth NS than BB. If NS really boycotts then the whole situation changes, probably no one (in the west) would like that. But more importanantly the Saudis have postured to support NS andf allowed him to go to Pak inspite of strong protest from Mush. That means Kiyani has to remian in touch in an effort to console and reconcile. Kiyani is a spy after all! Unfortunately all that means that Army remians in control of the situation as before. My question is has only the King changed the clothes or the King remians in the same khaki as before!
Justice Wajih ud Din has said it well. It is time for the politicians to be patient. The elections in January would not be legitiized by any one, and so there would be another round of elections pretty soon, (he says within 6 months or let me say within a year or so) with all the judiciary restored excluding the judges wo took oath under PCO.
ISLAMABAD, Nov 29: A new executive jet has been acquired for use by President Pervez Musharraf, raising the number of aircraft in the VVIP fleet to 14.
The 10-seater Learjet is one of the three planes whose procurement was approved by former prime minister Shaukat Aziz.
“American pilots, who brought the jet here a few days ago, have started training their Pakistani counterparts, a source said, adding that the training would take two months.
The country’s VVIP fleet includes G-IV, Cessna Citation V, Cessna Citation Excel, Learjet 35, Learjet 45 XR, Raytheon Hawker 400, Falcon 20, Cessna Conquest II, Bell 412 helicopters (3) and an MI-17 helicopter.
“Two other jets ordered may land here after the elections. These jets are for personal use of president and prime minister, the source said.
He said the value of the new luxury jet was about $60million.
On March 15 this year, Mr Aziz had flown to Uzbekistan in a VVIP plane gifted by Qatar in February. The Airbus-310 aircraft was given official livery and it underwent engineering checks at PIA facilities in Karachi.
Guys ……….There was an article in “The News” that Gen Kayani is a proffesional and Honest solder…….It has mentioned two things which show that Kyani is not that Bad………First Kayani was the only General who do not submitt an affadavit against Cheif Jusrice Iftikhar infact he refused to submitt it…..The second one is as the Head of ISI he refused to help his Cousin who was contesting as Nazim in Gujar khan ……..Kayani looks good lets pray he becomes our hero by helping Pakistan
@Asif
Let me tell you one more thing. One of my friend works in a national lab. in Pakistan and his rank is equal to 22nd grade federal secretary rank. He tells me that he (friend) is not entitled to have Toyota Camry. A fed secretary can have only 1500 cc car. Do you see army generals and fed sec in 1500 cc cars?
$60 millions for a jet and $40 miliions for an airport is a very good equation.
Allah bless my country.
come out of illusions these generals r the same havent v learned yet dont expect anything from these generals kiani is another musharaf in making i dont understand y v always look at these generals for all our political problems everyone is expecting he might do something wat would he ll do ? ok let the heaven b pleased if he removes musharaf wat will happen next would he b able to hold a free an fair election not et al remember onething he is US poodle an will do wateva his master wants him to do
Its not time to discuss Kayani but time to think that whether our politicians has learned anything from past & would solve political issues by themselves or once again ask Army for help.
One thing comes to my mind that why Mush has named kayani the Cheif …….May be Mush has full confidence in Kayani that he will be his yes man……but when i read information about Kayani i think that he can confront mush and save Pak Army from piblic criticism …….I hope he does that…….
y these army men thinks they r superior an calls us bloody civilian it can b traced back to british rules when british came here they picked ppl from well off families an taught them they r superior than their other country men they taught them to b loyal to british empire they used to give them money an power after the partition british were replaced with american in 60 years of pak history not a single general stood against the american they all proved to b more loyal to americans than the americans wether its was cold war or war on terror ther were all in front line
wat v need now is not the democracy v need the complete overhauling of our army instituiton wat v need is to change the mindset of these army officers when a young man commisioned in army he got a batman who polish his shoes an cook food for him these officer r taught how to eat with silver they r served with wine they starts thinking civilian as uncouth yahoos as most of pakistanis who lives in western world thinks of their counrty mens the prob is our army officers take it as superiority an discipline and in civilized countries its called ethics these ppl prefer to live in their own community how many countries r their who have Defence colony seperate education institute for forces children if u happen to see the children of pak forces officer u will clearly see a big diff in the mindset of a kid of pak forces an a civilian kid
Pakistan not to be responsible for any failure in war on terror: Musharraf
Regarding November 3 crackdown, he said, “You have to understand, we don’t want agitation here Agitation means breaking down everything, burning things. That cannot be allowed.
“So, therefore, if anyone is trying to do that, we will stop it. That is the way it is in Pakistan,” Musharraf said. “The issue is different, right? In your country, maybe you don’t hang people. Here, we hang people, OK?”
Geo NEWS
@Shahid,
That’s what I meant to say that the media should be independent but at the same time, support the government for national interest. Take Western media, or just take, Indian Media, you would never see this in Indian media, what we are shown in pakistani media.
Dont you think ppl are not getting killed in India, where there seperation tehreeks are going on in more than 12 states.
Dont you think that christian nuns were not burnt alive in India?
Dont you think that more than half the indian population, still lives on Foot path? etc etc.
I dont say that they dont address these in their media, but they also show the positive things which are going on in India.
By seeing the Pakistani media, it feels that there is no hope for Pakistan, and even the simple news in Pakistan were shown by putting lot of Mirch Masala, just to gain cheap publicity.
Do you think that Geo stood against the gov. because Geo just wanted to stand by the truth? WRONG. By standing against the gov. Geo got lot of publicity. But now, after getting the DANDA from the gov. look at the tune of Geo. Actually Jang news paper, welcomed Musharraf on the position of President. This is the true face of some of our Pakistani Media.
@tanweer amjad,
Could you please elobrate which TV channel he said this. I was seeing a ticker on GEO , and seems he was again issueing some sort of threat to US. Do you know the details what he said.
thanks in advance.
This mindset shld escape your filthy minds that successful politicians is one who grabs the rein of govt by hook or crook…
you guies need to follow the example set by imran that good reputation,credibility,clear conscious,stand on principle and contributing towards society is what politics is all about….
these 2/3rd majorities ,ministries,pm ship and all that is not going accompany you in your GRAVE………time passes by so quickly and no body is here for here…no body is indispensible either….dont take any thing for granted……gone are the days that you can manipulate people for the sake of your selfish agendas….the scenrio has changed drastically and much to your displeasure its not the same old stupid junta any more……..
if you wouldnt respond to the moment’s urge then you will be left stranded..you will be replaced…people do have alternatives today…its not 2 stupid party system anymore…we do have imran khans to pin our hopes on …..
so beware of the changed climate….brace ur self ….if you want to survive….ITS TIME TO PAYBACK….
@imran malik
Well said Imran Malik. True politics means facilitating the people to live an honourable peaceful life in a society. and politicians need to toil for this purpose. they have to sacrifice the peace and luxuries if their lives to prove them the servers of the society not the rulers.
Like you interpreted the example of Imran Khan, without getting in power, he has delivered so many things to the society. And there are few other examples as well. But among the old politicians from big parties, not a single example could be pointed out. Everything they did was from tax-payers money
There is nothing wrong with endeavoring for kursi but its wrong to still be shameful enough to even think of coming to power when
1- you have looted the country brutally…. you ask fro the horses to be presented to your hubby on his birth day by the army,
2- claim that you own surrey mahal after denying for so many years.
3-convicted in Swiss court
4.You lobby in west to get into power and promise them on the issues of national security
5-you talk about religion when you don’t know the abc of it.
6-spread prejudice and use Sindh card in Sindh, by talking bad against Punjabis and all that
7-when your bro was killed in your regime and you never give a damn.
8-there was no media freedom in you regime.
9-you acted against judiciary and passed your famous 15 member amendment against judges
10-when you like your overrated father act impatiently and brutally towards any opposition force, your dad had notorious FSF and you also had brutal force designated to annihilate the opposition, your hubby is accused of killing so many innocent people including the late actor Sultan rahi.
11-when you can go loggerheads with your mom over chairperson ship of party
12-never have been in talking terms with your brothers and there families
13-when you r characterless, wicked and pathetic person who would sell any thing for kursi.
… and even more was used for their own personal luxuries ruthlessly as if they have personally worked hard to earn that money. but remember in Pakistan, there is NRO for the biggest corrupt most people and life imprisonment for a poor who is just a suspect.
@Farooq Ahmed
I agree but where in the world do you see that govt curb the media without giving any notice.According to Mushraf it is not the media but some folks in the media who are culprits. Mushraf had no problems with showing dead bodies etc on TV but he had problems with few anchors. We have to accpet it that Mushraf wanted to shut down only few folks in the media but not whole media.
Some highlights:
1. Mad ex-General was highly agitated during the whole interview.
2. At one point he got so agitated and angry with the interviewer that he said
“Don’t teach us what you have in your country we will not impose what you have in Pakistan”
“In your country You don’t hang people here we hang people”
3. Interviewer asked about the 10 billion dollar provided for combating terrorism and the tinpot dictator said:
“When you say 10 billion dollar Sir this is most of the money services provided to troops okay?”
4. On the question of OBL , “They (west) believe he (OBL) is here , why haven’t you caught him?”. Tinpot

@kruman
November 30th, 2007 at 5:03 pm
Army after great efforts got rid of a General(Musharraf). They had to be very very patient and careful in this context.
Expressions of Musharraf showed that he was leaving the post of Army Chief under compulsion! He was a bitter pill for the Army but i feel that Army has learnt a great lesson from him.
I also hope that our Politicians also have learnt their lesson and will not appoint people in Army by bypassing the deserving ones e.g. in case of Mr. Musharraf, he was brought from down(bypassing higher generals) and made head of Army and then everyone had fun!!!
November 30th, 2007 at 5:06 pm
Can we conduct a poll and present that result to kyani ,that where we want mush’s body to be hanged ,,, ….his body should be preserved for public viewing and to start a ritual ,of pelting the stones at shetaaan…
November 30th, 2007 at 5:07 pm
Peja,
Surprisingly the media is mum about these developments.
November 30th, 2007 at 5:08 pm
@ pejamistri
I didn’t realy get that point of yours. Are you trying to say that Kiyani is setting the stage for BB?
November 30th, 2007 at 5:10 pm
Kiyani is proving true to his description as a silent operative. He is known to be a man of few words. He’ll get rid of Mush like “bal from makhan”.
November 30th, 2007 at 5:11 pm
CJ AND LAWYERS SHLD BE GIVEN THE CREDIT OF MUSH DOFFING HIS KHAAAAL….
THEY TRIGGERED IT……..
November 30th, 2007 at 5:12 pm
@zenith,
My real point is distrust between Mush and Kiyani, however apparently Kiyani does have the soft corner for BB , however that will not be his real contention with Mush I am sure.

can some body eleborate on it ,is it true…
if it is then we shld do some thing about it..
we can’t tolerate such a disgrace…we can’t …
November 30th, 2007 at 5:17 pm
Imran Malik, it’s time to grow up. there are more important issues to worry about than a cube replica. are you insulted by dice too?
November 30th, 2007 at 5:17 pm
After BB’s statement a few weeks ago calling upon US to cut aid to army, there was a lot of resentment against her amongst the corps commanders.
The way things are developing is this:
Mush trying to get BB on his side and BB willing to play along. Army as an institution does not like BB, neither her corruption nor her statements against the army. The would rather prefer NS or SS over BB.
In this context I see Musharraf as a liability rather than as asset for the army.
November 30th, 2007 at 5:21 pm
@ Mutazalzaluzzaman Tarar
If we can’t do anything, we should atleast condemn it in the strongest terms; really disappointed at your comment.

its not only cube replica ,as per reports its color and every thing is being replicated…and they are gonna give it name apple macca….is it not a big deal???
where is our ghairet bro…
November 30th, 2007 at 5:23 pm
Peja,
I am not sure if Kiyani indeed has a soft corner for BB.
Let’s see what unfolds in the days ahead.

@imran malik,
Yes the real heros are Judges lead by CJ.
November 30th, 2007 at 5:31 pm
It is totally wrong to say that Kiyani was against the deal eith BB.bcos he is actually the mastermind behind all that.He was the one who serve benazir as military secretary.And for that particular reason he was promoted to ISI cheif.Because the previous ISI cheif was not successful with talks with BB. And he is the one who convince BB to a deal.
As far as Army is concerned it is always against ppp due to Z A Bhutto factor.Because he was the one who told the army their true place i.e in the barracks and border not in the capital.
November 30th, 2007 at 5:34 pm
@kurman
I won’t disagree with you. As I said BB will not be the issue at all between Kiyani and ex-General.
November 30th, 2007 at 5:34 pm
story goes like this
“In the business area of MID TOWN MAN HEATON in New Yorka new BAR is opened in the name of APPLE MECCA which is familiar to KAABA MACCA .This bar will be used supply of VINE and Drinks. The Muslims of New York are pressurizing Govt of USA to not open this BAR”
November 30th, 2007 at 5:39 pm
November 30th, 2007 at 5:40 pm
@Imran Malik
November 30th, 2007 at 5:41 pm
I personally feel that deal between BB and PM was also to get rid of Mr. Musharraf, so that he gets chances to become a civilian president and leaves Army. Otherwise Mr. Musharraf would have been staying their for much longer.
I hope and pray that new Army Chief does not make same mistakes and takes wise and deep decisions.
November 30th, 2007 at 5:42 pm
No alcohol is served there. Apple is not stupid to do such a thing - they would lose business all over the world.
Remember one thing - unlike Christians who at times do lots of stupid things like danish cartoons etc but Jews are very shrewd businessmen and they would do the last thing to ruin their business
November 30th, 2007 at 5:43 pm
clhussain
I don’t they can start something like this.
November 30th, 2007 at 5:48 pm
November 30th, 2007 at 5:49 pm
Well that is just hypothetical - anyone can build buildings of a rectangular and square shape. We can only object to the naming thats all. But I think it should be investigated first rather than just accepting what is being said. I want someone in NEW YORK to confirm it before it is accepted.
November 30th, 2007 at 5:57 pm
@chussain
it was shown in the NADIA KHAN show on geo..
my wife saw the clipping and she said the bar is being constructed and it resembles the khana kaaba (naoozubillah) and they are giving it name apple macca…
nadia khna reported it and showed the clipping
November 30th, 2007 at 5:59 pm
Nadia Khan is not reliable - she should have checked it first - but anyway I would still want someone from New York Manahattan should confirm this who can actually see it. Actually I got an email regarding it four months ago and then someone wrote in response that it is not true.
November 30th, 2007 at 6:04 pm
@chussain
i live in washington dc ,i might go to ny next year and will check then..but i did a search on google and found this
In the business area of MID TOWN MAN HEATON in New Yorka new BAR is opened in the name of APPLE MECCA which is familiar to KAABA MACCA .This bar will be used supply of VINE and Drinks. The Muslims of New York are pressurizing Govt of USA to not open this BAR
November 30th, 2007 at 6:06 pm
And by the way there is a bar underground but that is IPOD BAR - where you could download music and not sell alcohol.
Its all just disinformation and nothing else.
November 30th, 2007 at 6:06 pm
What’s happening behind the scenes
November 30th, 2007 at 6:14 pm
Thanks
November 30th, 2007 at 6:15 pm
actually i have been trying to put up a link but its not accepting and is being moder@ated.
Nadia Khan knows nothing.
November 30th, 2007 at 6:19 pm
@Farooq Ahmed
So cut this crap and talk sense
November 30th, 2007 at 6:31 pm
@clhussian,
Because of sentimental ppl like you, Pakistan is in this deep hole.

@Farooq ahmed sahib
November 30th, 2007 at 7:02 pm
Major General Ayaz Saleem Rana is likely to replace Nadeem Ejaz as DG MI. Nadeem Ejaz, the outgoing DG MI is a relative and a known loyalist of Musharraf.

@Farooq Ahmed Sahib

Any views?
November 30th, 2007 at 7:47 pm
@syed
couple of weeks back ,mush issued an order that he transfers the right to lift emergency from coas to president….so he took care of that before he left army….
but even then army can do any thing if it wants to in pakistan…so kyani can do whatever he feels like ..because remember there is no constituition and law for army….
its only for civilians…
November 30th, 2007 at 7:58 pm
Imran Malik,
You bring up a good point.
November 30th, 2007 at 8:00 pm
If Kiyani does that to Musharraf where would Musharraf go - would he go to supreme court because it would be full of lotas who would not waste time to change their loyalities to the new comer. Musharraf is riding on a tiger from whom he cannot come down - because if he does the tiger is going to eat him up.
November 30th, 2007 at 8:02 pm
If Kiyani removes Musharraf he would not be doing anything against the consitution because he would be following the order of the legal SC bench which declared emergency as invalid. So Kiyani in fact would be abiding by his oath and he would be the hero of this nation and forever his name would be written in golden letters in the history of Pakistan

November 30th, 2007 at 8:09 pm
@Farooq Ahmed,
I think you better stick to the current problem and not compare USA and PK because USA has 220 years of history and PK is just 60 year old but even then if we compare US media with PK media then I would say US media is more biased as it tells the news only what they want.
Thanks
November 30th, 2007 at 8:09 pm
Ohhhhhh…… I thought at last there was a good news.

@RIHAT
DONT loose hope..there will be good news in few weeks…
inshallah
November 30th, 2007 at 8:17 pm
Thanks Imran. Then i think it is difficult for Kiyani to do anything at the moment, but watch out on the changes that Kiyani is about to do in the Army. People are expecting major reshuffle at Pondi, Mangla and Lahore Corps, if the ISI and MI cheifs are replaced Kiyani will become stronger than Bush. Remember when Mush demanded resignation from the CJ it was them two who were more eager than thier Boss not Kiyani who had kept quiet and did not support the action and actually kept ISI out of it. He is already talking to BB and NS.
November 30th, 2007 at 8:20 pm
@ syed
Where is this news from?? that Kiyani already talking to BB and NS. By the way did he speak to public yet?
November 30th, 2007 at 8:28 pm
By the way it would be very disappointing for Musharraf that Ch Shujjat and Pervez Elahi were the first ones to congratulate Kiani on become COAS - they are real lotas and now Musharraf would also realise how people change overnight - he would fully realise it the day he is no more a President - these two jokers would treat him worse than Shaukat Aziz
Can you imagine Pervez Elahi until recently was saying that he would get Musharraf re-elected in uniform 5-10 times.
Well now Musharraf can wear that uniform at home and Sebha can say hundred times that My Lord you are elected
November 30th, 2007 at 8:31 pm
@People say that Pak has history of 60 years - that is not true - we have history of more than 1000 years - in that Muslims ruled subcontinent for more than four centuries. So this 60 years is nothing.

Robert Oakley has suggested that Washington should facilitate discussions between the military and civilian leaders on appointing a senior civilian to serve as interim president, replacing Musharraf. “An interim president could then prepare for truly free and fair elections and a return to the rule of law.” In essence, he advocates an alibi for Washington to reconcile with Sharif whi is s starong factor in Pak Politics.
November 30th, 2007 at 8:40 pm

@Admin:

November 30th, 2007 at 9:10 pm
@Asif

Its all about us whether our politicians solve the political issues by themselves or just like past ask Army for help.
November 30th, 2007 at 9:20 pm
@all
Its not time to discuss Kayani but time to think that whether our politicians has learned anything from past & would solve political issues by themselves or once again ask Army for help.
November 30th, 2007 at 9:20 pm

Let see our politicians solving their political issues by themselves, because they say they are quite experienced & seasoned politicians.
November 30th, 2007 at 10:22 pm
@Shahid,
That’s what I meant to say that the media should be independent but at the same time, support the government for national interest.
This is the true face of some of our Pakistani Media.

thanks in advance.

@For all politicians

Kiyani Begins Consolidating Power

@imran malik
Everything they did was from tax-payers money

to all bb jyaalaaas

November 30th, 2007 at 11:20 pm
@Farooq Ahmed

2. At one point he got so agitated and angry with the interviewer that he said
3. Interviewer asked about the 10 billion dollar provided for combating terrorism and the tinpot dictator said:
4. On the question of OBL , “They (west) believe he (OBL) is here , why haven’t you caught him?”. Tinpot
