PkPolitics request everyone to pray for the health of Munir Malik who is not in good health.
According to sources of SIUT, where Munir Malik is currently under treatment, his kidneys are functioning only partially and that a dialysis will be carried out tomorrow.
Munir Malik’s liver was also affected and it has now completely failed to function, the sources said, adding, the government doctors are now considering sending him abroad for necessary treatment. It is expected that he would be taken to a European country in the next few days.

I salute the brave man for his bravery to stand against the EVIL.
I saluet him for his struggle for freedom of judiciary and rule of law in Pakistan.
May Allah bless him with good health soon and may he lead the struggle of lawyers and civil society for restoration of judges and rule of law once again.

December 11th, 2007 at 9:54 pm
Price of Truth is always very high and only great people can pay that.
Not everyone is Wasi Zafar. Some people get worried about the safety of their family.
Living with principles is very hard but it is amazing how a few people change the course of history by their sacrifice.
December 11th, 2007 at 9:57 pm
@ admin
As a gesture of respect to the likes of Munir Malik, could you put a cross on the face of Musharraf (smiling picture on banner)? Or could you please replace that smiling picture with a worried or sweaty picture?
December 11th, 2007 at 10:02 pm
@Kami
I second Kami, I think the one with sweat & hes wiping with a tissue or hankecheif would be best as per current scenario.
December 11th, 2007 at 10:13 pm
just think for few minutes, why this person sacrificed his life. why he didnt compromise. is he a fool? stupid? think about his family. why? why? he has all common problems like we have, but why he didnt compromise? why? this person gave his life for what? life the most precious thing we have, and he let it sacrifice. why? i cant understand those ppl who dont understand.
does e have some financial interests? why? how can a man be so strong on his principals? why? how?
December 11th, 2007 at 10:19 pm
I wish him all the best. He was under immense pressure but even on the hospital bed he refused to surrender to mush’s laws. He is truly a Great man.
December 11th, 2007 at 10:23 pm
thats sad …we pray for his health ….
its like getting shoiab aktar unfit before a final match between india and pakistan
December 11th, 2007 at 10:34 pm
very sad news.
Alas, there is no judiciary to even sue the government for this.
We are being punished for our geography. People such as Munir Malik are fighting like David against Goliath. The Goliath is not just the army but also the colloborators in the Great Game, the global capitalists as well as the docile and fearful public of the so called Western democracies.
I am fearful for Munir Maliks’s, or at-least the quality of his life.
Does anyone know about his financial situation, his family?
How can we support him in these days of hardship?

I pray for good health to munir A malik
December 11th, 2007 at 11:12 pm
I am saddened to hear and pray from the core of my heart for this unsung hero of a sleeping nation.
I will never forget the first press conference this brave man has after the deposition of CJ. He was flanked by only three other lawyers when he vowed to take the fight to the General much before anyone else even think about it.
His status as a hero is right up there with those who fought colonialism to get us our homeland. My salute to the man who started renaissance of a society that predominantly don’t even know about their rights as citizen.
December 11th, 2007 at 11:13 pm
dear iqbak could you tell us what munafiqat Ahtzaz has done?may Allah bless good health to m.malik………
December 11th, 2007 at 11:16 pm
From what I have read in the media, Munir Malik while in jail at Attock he was made to drink juice laced with poison of some kind. This cause dhis kidneys and now his liver to fail.
Munir Malik should immediately file an FIR on attempted murder charges against Mush, Shaukat Aziz, Atty Gen Qayuum, Aftab Sherpao and other poice and security agency officials.
May Allah help him recover and restore his health
December 11th, 2007 at 11:26 pm
I guess its time now to do something useful. With the help of the Admin of PKpolitics we should create a trust/fund for the welfare of the families of all those Judges and lawyers who are suffering for us. I know that people like Aitizaz Ahsan and Munir Malik are financially stable but trust me there are many many small lawyers and many Judges who do need our help now. I am sure there must be a way to make the process transparent too. I hope all of us can spare a few euros or dollars.
Admin? Anyone?
December 11th, 2007 at 11:30 pm
I pray for his health. All the people who are participating in the fraudulant election will be considered coloboratives of the crimes of MUSH &company criminals
December 11th, 2007 at 11:33 pm

Poor Munir Malik. He should have taken better care of his health as prolonged alcohol consumption can severly affect the liver and cause cirrhosis which may lead to renal failure. May God help him.

Do you seriously think that they were offered Scotch in Attock Jail?
December 11th, 2007 at 11:57 pm
Long live MunirA. Malik.
Long Live Pakistan.
May allah give him complete health soon. amin.
December 12th, 2007 at 12:00 am
@ muziqmonk
As far ‘God help him’, you forgot that God says that people like you should be given the punishment of 80 lashes for ‘tuhmet’.
Either you don’t believe in God or your god is same is Mush (i.e. USA).
December 12th, 2007 at 12:04 am
@ muziqmonk
Mush’s Khaandan is muzic and dance lover just like you.
He has written in his autobiography that his mum and dad were professional dancers. His Ammi Jee sings in a melodious voice and plays harmonium very well. His mum won first prize in a dance competition in Istanbul.
(REF: (Poor Pakistanis) In the Line of Fire by Pervaiz Musharraf
(I can see why you support him!)
December 12th, 2007 at 12:10 am
@ Taimur @Kami
All I am saying is Munir Maliks short stay in jail had no affect on his current condition. According to medical science chronic alcohol abuse is the main cause of liver failure.
Why would the govt. poison him alone. Why not other political opponents too. I have no problem with anyone’s alcohol drinking. That is their personal life. But to blame someones own poor choices to a conspiray is unjust.
My thoughts and prayers are with him for his recovery.
December 12th, 2007 at 12:14 am
Had our politicians courage like this man, Pakistan would have been a different place. Unfortunately both NS,BB are opportunists.People like Munir A. Malik didn’t compromise but our politicians are ever ready to do it. Recent decision by NS is a clear example of that. Their supporters like Irfan Siddiqi give lectures to others on law, principle and truth but when it comes to their own favourites ,they forget all these things. Shame on these opportunists.
Salute to Mr. Munir A. Malik (I am proud of this fighter from Awan tribe).
December 12th, 2007 at 12:14 am
@ Kami
Whatever Mush’s khandaan is like, atleast he has done best for the country. Lets not be childish. Music and dance are part of IndoPak culture for thousands of years.
December 12th, 2007 at 12:38 am
@muziqmonk
I agree we don’t have much to do with his personal life. But he has no right to crush the whole judiciary and constitution. The day he took oath as president, hours after he said the circumstances have got better and he can lieft emergancy. I hope you understand by circumstances he meant “I have become president”.
He is no different than previous dictators, well yes one difference may be, he is the worst of all them.
December 12th, 2007 at 12:52 am
@muziqmonk
Right, so his kidneys were ok with his lifestyle (be it alcohal or anything) for 60 years but suddenly stopped working in attock jail where apprently he had no access to any kind of Alcohal because of his ‘old’ habits.
… And you want us to believe it?
December 12th, 2007 at 12:53 am
@ muziqmonk
Whatever Mush’s khandaan is like, atleast he has done best for the country.
________________________________________
Best for the country?? That is why World J£WISH Congress is out to defend him? Their president says that US style independent judiciary might not be suitable for Pakistan and Pakistan will accept that COUNTRY after elections. He calls himself personal friend of Musharraf. US senators have been asked by J£wish world congress to support Mush.
Praising a mum who dances may well be a personal matter. What would you call using Mecca visits for personal projection?? I thought only Musharraf was munafiq. His supporters are even bigger Munafiq.
December 12th, 2007 at 12:56 am
@ muziqmonk
wait for the time when Mush (beloved of J£ws) will be in jail and then we will se what happens to his kidneys and liver.
Lets not be childish. It is Indo Pak tradition to take revenge!
December 12th, 2007 at 1:38 am
I have two prayers:
I pray for a miracle, that God restore Munir Malik’s health, give him back his quality of life, his life indeed.
I pray the perpetrators of this torture, undergo prolonged torture before dying miserable deaths. They do not deserve Zia style quick ends.
December 12th, 2007 at 1:39 am
May Allah give Munir malik a good health. It is just due to people like u that our society is still survivng.I am really proud of u for your struggle for judiaciary.

just watch this video of Munir Malik on “Live with Talat”. He seems completely out of it. Even the people other than me commenting on Youtube have pointed it out.

If something happens to Munir Malik (Allah na kerray) blood will be on the hands of Musharraf only!
Mush must remember that he will have to answer this on judgement day!!!
Inshallah’ Munir Mailik the pride of Pakistani people will be fine soon.
December 12th, 2007 at 3:57 am
I sincerely pray that Munir Malik recovers. We need people like him to help shape the future of our beloved country.
Munir, you will recover soon, Inshallah.

Pakistan votes for Israeli resolution
Must be embarrassing enough that “No one from the Pakistan mission was available to comment on the vote.

December 12th, 2007 at 10:24 am
reading the account, you could be mistaken for thinking it is guantanamo bay and not attock jail. its time to get rid of this army-intelligence mafia which is occupying and oppressing us. until we do so we will always remain enslaved. we are no better than iraq or afghanistan if we do not have our basic rights and we do not have the freedom to decide our own future , and other forces decide it for us. we need to get rid of this mafia controlling us
December 12th, 2007 at 11:04 am
LIVE WITH TALAT protest episode will be held at Karachi Pess Club Today at 6 pm (PST).
Those who can, please show your support for freedom of press by attending and spread the word.
December 12th, 2007 at 11:28 am
@muziqmonk
An army might not be sufficient to defend the asininity that is Musharraf (though asses may try) and you are but just one person (and with very limited intellect too, else you might have noticed that Munir Malik spoke with perfect lucidity in the video link you’ve given but maybe with intelligence such as yours it is too difficult to focus on both audio and video simultaneously), so it okay I’m sure people can understand why you need to resort cheap tactics.
December 12th, 2007 at 11:39 am
@muziqmonk
Oh I almost forgot, since you’ve been so kind in your prayers for Munir Malik, I think everyone should pray that may God have pity on you and bless you better intellect or at the very least with better sense.

AA announced boycott of elections
The dramey baazi of elections is soon gonna end

December 12th, 2007 at 1:26 pm
@Muziq monk
Did you get wahi from Allah that Munir Malik’s condition has nothing to do with his being arrested and jailed. Shame on you for making such a comment. Why dont you believe him and his doctors. This man is fighting for his life and has hepatorenal failure and you dare to comment that he is acting and didnt get this illness from his custody. When did you become a doctor by the way.
Jis cheez ka pata na ho to us par apni zuban ko band rakna chahye
December 12th, 2007 at 1:30 pm
@ammar
No we wont wait until Judgement Day in that case - A FIR would be instituted against Musharraf for murder and we would make sure judgement is passed on Musharraf his life time. No one has time for this psych@path Musharraf to wait for Judgement Day. His Judgement Day is going to come in his lifetime.
He has also murdered Akbar Bhugti
December 12th, 2007 at 1:50 pm
@all
All this dramey baazi of elections is to put salt the efforts of lawyers & civil society.
Lets try make these elections a huge time failure by not participating in it & voicing against these sham elections
Lets stop this fraud on the name of sham elections.
Best of Luck

@Zarak khan message regarding poison given to Munir Malik
Please add also Altaf Hussain to your list of accused. If I am not wrong, IK, while in arrest, said that he life is in danger because MQM can kill him by poisoning or other means. Is MQM notoriously known for such type of killings of their opponents?
December 12th, 2007 at 3:50 pm
MALIK IS RESPONSIBLE TO BRING THIS ILLNESS UPON HIMSELF. WHO TOLD HIM TO FAST THERE? WHY DID HE GO ON A HUNGER STRIKE?
December 12th, 2007 at 3:54 pm
WHY DID MALIK GO ON A HUNGER STRIKE? THESE ZEALOTS FIGHT FOR A MYOPIC CAUSE, GOOD FOR NOTHING. IN A COUNTRY LIKE PAKISTAN, WHERE THERE ARE SO MANY OTHER ISSUES OF PRIORITY, these men go about issues, such as demanding “independent judiciary”. The judiciary was SERVING the executive. It was not serving the people.
And how beautifully it was serving the executive! I wish it had served the people just as beautifully.
ALL A FARCE!
December 12th, 2007 at 4:00 pm
What is the issue with the lawyers?
It’s a wild goose chase.
I don’t see what’s the problem?
If the judiciary served the people then (ie before the judges were sacked), it can serve the people even now.
They should look inside and search the truth. It was not for the people then, it is not for the people now. They are after something else. Something which is not important at all.
December 12th, 2007 at 4:04 pm
Hey Mr, sitting at the Moderation Desk, release my remarks. Or will you pull a Geo on my comments?
December 12th, 2007 at 4:07 pm
Forget it, I’m off……this website is as bad as the Geo TV Channel. Extremely partial. Very selective anti-government material is only put here. Or else rejected, as Geo does. So fine. Bye!
December 12th, 2007 at 4:15 pm
Long live Munir Malik
You are a pride for your family, your friends, your farternity ,your city and your country.
You’ll always remain alive in hearts of brave and faithful people of the motherland
December 12th, 2007 at 4:20 pm
Okay bye. But before I go, one more para for the road:
This is Pakistan. Here because of over-population (as people have a religious angle to overgrowth of mankind and will not stop it), illiteracy and many other factors, there is intense poverty. Can we afford to be dogmatic, and go crazy over some idea that has developed in our heads? The lawyers demand is just not important.
I am getting convinced that there is something lacking in the Pakistani Educational Institutions, which are obviously producing such people, and have not imparted proper education, where people/students can have ideals and must know how to achieve them. Not go about in the manner they have been doing. Their very purpose they have been agitating for is without much meaning, and in the long run will not give them anything. What a wasted exercise, this is. I feel sorry for the lawyers who are wasting their time.
December 12th, 2007 at 4:55 pm
@ Kami
Whatever Mush’s khandaan is like, atleast he has done best for the country. Lets not be childish. Music and dance are part of IndoPak culture for thousands of years
PLEASE WHAT DID HE DO FOR THE COUNTRY? PLEASE OPEN YOUR EYES…IS THE LAW AND ORDER SITUATION EXCELLENT? ARE THE POOR GETTING THE WHEAT, SUGAR, MEDICAL, OIL ETC EASILY? I AM NOT EVEN SAYING THAT THE PRICES ARE SKYROCKETTING I AM ONLY ASKING IF THESE THINGS ARE EASILY AVAILABLE OR NOT? AS FAR AS MUSIC/ DANCE IS CONCERNED PLEASE KEEP YOUR LOVE FOR THE THINGS TO YOUR OWN SELF DO NOT IMPOSE IT ON THE NATION. LOOK AT THE T.V THE FASHION WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO TELL THAT THE HALF NAKED FASHIONS ARE THE ENLIGHTEN MODERATION OR REFLECTING OUR CULTURE?
December 13th, 2007 at 5:32 am
We cannot pay for the sacrifices of these guys giving for the cause. Our generations are in debt to these personalities.
December 13th, 2007 at 3:55 pm

December 13th, 2007 at 4:51 pm
Utterly shameless! To hell with these farcical elections. Our heros are being physically eliminated and here we are, gearing up for these fraudulent elections. I have no political affiliation with anyone but I consider Benazir (and now Nawaz as well) an aider and abettor in Musharraf’s crimes and she is equally guilty of what is happening to our honourable lawyers and judges. I would waste no opportunity to put a bullet in BB’s head if I hear her delivering lectures on extremism written buy her buddies in Washington again. Oh, don’t take me for a talibani goon. I’m an enraged youth who just cannot bear the atrocities being carried out against people who’s only crime is being patriotic Pakistanis. Mush says that whoever criticizes the army shall be punished by the Army Act. I say, hang me upside down but it will not desist me from questioning the patriotism of the Armed Forces, who, in my opinion and the impression I get from their cowardly acts against its own people, are not only on CIA’s but on Raw’s payroll!
