This guy is such a pain in the neck to watch and listen! Leaving aside his pro-establishment drivels, his lacking analytical acumen and the lacklustre personality that he carries, it is the way in which he employs language that borders on the vulgar. Really obscene! His frequent code-mixing, indiscriminate blending of terms and phrases from two culturally distinct languages and worldviews, references etc. makes one wonder whether he is speaking English sprinkled generously with some Urdu words and phrases or the other way round!

A sickening favourite style of the pampered burger elites of Islamabad and Lahore, most visible and popular with the middle classes of urban India as well, this tendency is a sorry development in Pakistani and South Asian society. Of course, there is some creativity in mixing the codes and inter-usage, as some proponents of critical linguistics have argued (for eample Pakistani linguist Tariq Rahman and Indian Braj Kachru et.al) but the way it is done here is simply deplorable. The guy has no respect for either of the languages that he uses.

Admin: when and if you hire your “female” newsreader, please make sure that she has a good command of both Urdu and English and is not just another cartoon ignorant of both the languages and relying solely on an obnoxious mixing of codes that is really tragic!

Who hire these people who vandalize language on a daily basis and, in doing so, torture us with their insensitive and uneducated babble!

Well sometimes U have to see wht a man is trying to say, i totally agree with the guy named Moin i guess that how would be they able to bring the price down to one, no solution just words of Roti Kapraa, i think they should bring a common but a well established business man who can openly criticized every one. Well again I am not expecting any change in the Pakistani Feudal system but my pray is that May Allah keep Pakistan away from politicians like Benazir and Nawaz Sharif!!!! Ameeen

And has he already figured it out that BB will have the important share of power in the coming weeks when he cuts Cowasjee midway, objecting, `Are you an enemy of PPP?” Perhaps this is just opportunistic pre-emptive thinking, as the psycopath Rumsfeld would say!

Masood Ahmed sahib, don`t switch off your TV but, instead, watch these kangaroo shows, and do so with critical eyes and ears. You will learn a lot believe me, torture as they are. As I said earlier in one of my posts, in order to defrock these demagogues and see who they really are behind these masks they they try to hide all the time, one has to understand them and we can do that by keeping a close eye on them. These glib tongues and aspiring students of spin who now dominate these commercial private TV shows need to be understood. See how he is rattled when Cowasjee cuts through his profane babble with his politically incorrect but sharp and exact one liners. Those uneasy silences between the exchanges (between PJ and Coasjee) are very interesting, loaded with meaning, please note them. Cowasjee is the great disturber, in fact, although it must be said that he is no angel himself.
