brave step by leaders of PMLN and APDM!!

  2. Kruman on December 29th, 2007 5:19 pm

NS is in grave danger now. The establishment wanted to remove both BB and NS.

Like BB, NS has been given no security, leaving him vulnerable to attacks.

  3. khushbakht3 on December 29th, 2007 5:23 pm

good step by nawaz sharif.now he is the only hope for pakistan

  4. Kruman on December 29th, 2007 5:25 pm

The military estbalishment will eliminate any threat to it’s hegemony. They want people even more docile than Jamali.

Bhutto murdered, CJP removed, BB killed, NS exiled and now in grave danger.

  5. kinnare on December 29th, 2007 5:29 pm

Kruman, they will never eliminate NS just like Imran Khan. NS politics is not threat to them. His politics is not about have nots. BY the way does any one knows about the case the Imran Khan was to initiate against Altaf Bhai.

    @kinnare

I think Imran Khan gave evidences against Altaf to scotland yard but nothing happened.

    - Slogans shouted against Punjab and Musharraf as NS arrives in Nodero
    - 1 on 1 mtg between NS and Zardari meet for 30 minutes

just wondering y they need protection? if people hate you so much then probably you should be running for president ship.

BB was tooo pro american and she made lot of irresponsible statements against religious establishment and thats getting too close to fire. i honesly think mush have nohting to do with her assignation as he is now at his weakest point.

but just wondering now days its soo easy to get the label of shahadaat.

  11. zenith on December 29th, 2007 7:10 pm

    @ Kruman
I heard on NDTV that NS was appreciated for his visit. Their correspondent interviewed many people and all said that It was a very good step. Anyways PPP workers might be angry, but the common people of sindh are not against punjab, but i guess this proves that our politicians have always done politics on provincialism.

  12. GuyFawkes on December 29th, 2007 7:10 pm

Nawaz sharif is a chor, a thief, a killer. He had the most to gain out of BB’s death, but no one seems to be blaming him.

  13. kinnare on December 29th, 2007 7:28 pm

One should read in todays The News by Shaheen shebai where he has clearly blame Pakistan Army for this killing.

Why Gov is not releasing A. Ahsan?

  15. zenith on December 29th, 2007 7:37 pm

The bloody chaudhries have asked Mush to hold election on time. look at them, Mush , chaudhries and mqm all have not said anything about postponing elections.

    a good article indeed.

  17. concerned_watcher on December 29th, 2007 10:31 pm

Disappointed to see Imran sunbathing in Bombay while the country is in crisis.

    What a leader! Shame

  18. Optimist on December 29th, 2007 11:43 pm

    @ concerned_watcher

we are disappointed to see KILLER Altaf free in London.

    Mutahida Qatil Movement

  19. Optimist on December 29th, 2007 11:46 pm

    @ kinnare

Government of Pakistan is not helping Scotland yard and is not giving them required proofs. Solicitor in London has written to home office to ask for the reason for delay in that.

Scotland yard has NOT said that there is no case. They say that there is a valid case against Altaf Hussain (on the face of it) but they need answers to some questions from government of Pakistan so that the case doesn’t collapse in court later.

  20. concerned_watcher on December 29th, 2007 11:49 pm

when did Altaf ever had “class” or was perceived to have some class, some humanity, some generosity of soul and be bigger than his ego.

Imran wants to be the leader of the country, and positions himself to be holier than thou.

Well, this was the time to show this. As usual, he is missing in action.

My comments have nothing to do with MQM

  21. Optimist on December 30th, 2007 1:53 am

How to recognise MQM MUNAFIQs (not talking about sincere supporters)

    1. They play patriotism card (in other words save Mush)

    2. They play US conspiracy theory (Mush is biggest chamcha of the US)

    3. They tell us about feudals and forget about Murderes

    4. They pretend to be supporters of another party and after that they start their ususal rubbish which points to their support of Mush/MQM

  22. concerned_watcher on December 30th, 2007 2:41 am

    @Optimist
Hope you are not calling me a MQM MUNAFIQ.

If it is then it shows dearth of intelligence.

To take a simple, valid commentary on Imran’s response (or total lack of response) to the current situation and take it in the MQM direction is pitiful.

Please learn to take some constructive criticism. Imran wants to be the leader. He needs to show that he is the leader. This has nothing to do with NS, MQM, etc.

“but just wondering now days its soo easy to get the label of shahadaat.”

bhai hosh ki dawa kar. If its that easy why don’t you try to become a one.
btw I can guarantee that if mushi is killed the same way no one will be calling him a shaheed but on the contrary millions of people will be on street congratulating each other.

Sad to hear about the bad treatment with Nawaz. I do not like Nawaz and don’t support him or his style of doing politics, but even though he is crook and corrupt, he is still Ex-Prime Minister and a human and deserve respect.

  25. Kruman on December 30th, 2007 6:12 am

It was natural as people were in high emotions. At the same time several PPP workers recongnized and appreciated NS’s gesture.

Being fellow Sindhis MQM should have come too. Everones else came except MQM.

  26. zenith on December 30th, 2007 6:39 am

Well the PPP workers should have realized that NS took a brave step to go there. Many small local sindhi parties didn’t show up. I dont know why everyone blames punjab even though the person at the top is orginally from sindh and so is the Prime minister and the new CJ.

  27. Javed on December 30th, 2007 7:22 am

    MQM and also Lota league.

imran khan’s father is seriously ill.

  29. fantagiri on December 30th, 2007 12:49 pm

It is very sad to see that after all what happend people in these forums are still supporting PMLN and NS.
Just because most of people using these forums are belong to Punjab … they will never voice for PPP even though back ground of NS.
If this time eductaed people (we using internet) dont support people of Sindh and Balochistan and elect leaders like NS who always worked with army and ISI … it will be a blow to Sindh’s people and break Pakistan.

So for the sake of Pakistan … please open your eyes.

  30. fantagiri on December 30th, 2007 1:00 pm

We Pakistani’s are big believers of conspiracy theories but why not this time with NS:

    Q. Which Political Party/Leader gains most after BB’s state murder?
    A. Nawaz Sharif being second biggest pakistani party.
    Q. Which political Party gains most after NS announced boycott?
    A. PML(Q) and Chaudary’s because PML(Q) had only one rival in real terms. Q-league candidates faced only competition from N-participants.

If NS didn’t wanted to take part in elections because of BB’s death, he would have said:
    - we will not take part in elections but support PPP in election campaign
-OR we will atke part in elections to crush PML-Q in Punjab and support PPP in parliment.

Any wise man would have thought of these points.

Is NS not wise or he is in same team????

  31. yaqub2005 on December 30th, 2007 7:18 pm

NS showed a good gesture and PPP respect this as do sindhi people.

He was brave enough when he visited Hospital. I can bet that not many would take that risk e.g. MUSH, Chaudhries, IK, MQM etc.

Even if few PPP workers were rude, it does not matter as majority will love this gesture. It certainly helps to bring Punjab and Sindh closer at this critical time.

I have seen some comments from PPP supporters who will vote for NS because he stood with PPP at this critical time. Similarly PML-N people will vote for PPP due to NS goodwill. Certainly Q-league and MQM have lost their credibility at this time. Altaf’s crocodile tears and then suddenly talking in normal voice is evident that he knows that there plan is in trouble.
