We as a nation should analyse, overall who did more construction and destruction of the fabric of the nation.
I n 60 year history of Pakistan, the Army generals ruled 30 years and only 3 i.e. Ayub, Zia and Musharaf. These generals had unadultrated and absolute power.
Innumerable (probably 10 or 12) politicians ruled 30 years as well with disability and limitations due to obstructive agencies, army, ISI and sometimes opposition.
How is it that we always end up blaming the politicians and no one ever openly blames the Generals, ISI or government agencies.
The only thing is that the dictators including musharaf have nurtured these sharks i.e. mullahs, mqm and Q league and used them as B-team and leave these snakes as problems for Pakistan.
Ever since musharaf came to power, he has been defaming the state in the capacity of its head. Selling to the whole world that Pakistanis are terrorists just to prolong his rule.
Imposition of emergency/martail law by him was a no confidence in his own governance as he is the head of state.
Zia gave us Klasinkov, heroin and poppy generals in the army.
Musharaf has given us suicide bombings, anarchy and is personally responsible for destroying the judicaiary, media and the hopes of an entire nation.
These generals performance started with the murder of Liaqat Ali Khan, Fatima Jinnah, Bhuttos. Victimistaion of Nawaz Sharif, Judiciary, Media, A Q Khan, Civil society and the list is endless.
in the list of the victims only innocent ppl possibly were fatima jinnah and A Q khan true patriot he is i respect that, but civil society and judicary is only another instution waiting to oppress power they have never really stood up for the society .. in pakistan the most profitable and easy to access of corruption is the civil society ask any pakistani
you are right. fasih must give the solution.

I am amazed that Fasih has declared A. Q. Khan innocent while in the same breath casting aspersions by implication on the rest of the civilians. Probably, he thinks that A.Q. Khan is the father of the Pakistani bomb, which he is certainly not (see Hamid Mir’s interview with Dr. Samar Mubarakmand on December 19).
I was not and am not a supporter of Ms. Benazir Bhutto even after her assassination, but I am definitely amazed at people like Mr. Fasih, who still cast aspersions on civilian institutions through different means. It is so unfortunate that these people fail to see the real threats to Pakistan’s integrity. There were millions of West Pakistnais in 1970 who refused to believe what our army was doing in East Pakistan at the time and that Pakistan was going to disintegrate. Such is the patriotism of people like Fasih who definitively describe some people as patriots and others, by implication, unpatriotic, thus assuming the mantle of ‘holier than thou’. This is a pretty silly line of thought. And I would advise Fasih, being as patriotic as any other Pakistani, to reinforce his claims by real knowledge of events and facts. This would probably help us all to try to forestall the breakup of Pakistan, which is in no one’s interest.
Our real problem is the army, and not Musharraf as proposed by many. Until we find a way to keep the army in the barracks and stop them from interfering in our country’s affairs, Pakistan’s integrity will always be at stake. These morons have only their own interest at heart and do not give a tinker’s damn for the people. They should know their place in our country, that is, they are employed by us as ‘defenders’ of the country’s borders and not as occupiers of the master bedroom in the house. It does not matter how civilians run this country because we are not being paid by the state. We are the owners of the state. The faujis are employed by us for a specific purpose. And, hence, they have no role in our country’s politics. They are just paid minions.
i don’t think PK mir is worth commenting…he is just a C class presenter..who thinks he is very clever but in fact he is surviving on ARY just because he is with them for a long time…i think the way he talks about Pakistani politics and politicians is very cheap and sarcastic….the way he ask questions shows his obvious disliking of Pakistani politicians…but what a shame..he cant understand that the fact that POLITICS is not a name of some kind of company/business or some kind of materially existing entity,,,politics is the name of running affairs of a state…They get better with the time…and so as the politicians….IF…and ONLY IF…generals let the country run in a normal way…don’t go away..JUST LIKE India….
Many thanks…

Khosa is write aout all the facts but i think others should see that he is talking about the Generals…… so I request you all to please dont abuse army and blame army as a whole…… army is necessory for the survival of any nation expecially with an extremely important geographical state like ours……Its the bloody generals who are to blame….
But fasih is also write about the politicians…. it actually amazes me when people defend our politicians…..these politicians are the ones who provoke and invite army to come in politics in the first place….. they collaborate with them and encourage them in open and closed meetings…… and corruption is a termite that has given rise to injustice, crime, hatred etc etc and from a clerk to a secretary.. every body is corrupt….. in every single public office u can’t get you work done without paying a bribe……
the problem is with us.. the paksitanis … we generaly are all corrupt from bottom to top… how many of us can say for sure that we always behave like a good citizen…. we dont see or talk about ourselves…… hum main sey jis ka jitna bus chalta ha wo utana gund phailata ha….(go to some public office and see how work gets done) and that is why we get rulers like that as well….
