Well most interesting aspect is that Kamran Lashari at one lunch said himeself that Rawal Lake will dry in another 5/7 years. I happen to go to CDA office couple of years back and asked them to deslit and deepen rawal lake further. On this request of mine the man in the office simply told me that as I have no PROPER BACKING and no big personality can gain any thing much out of it so he clearly told me " BB you go home . You have water ? Good if not then Pray to Allah and do Namaz e istuska" So where the officials are so self centered who lack the vision for the future who instead for green areas prefer concrete I really think we need divine help......

I feel like telling the people, why are you complaining now!!!!
We still have not learnt our lesson. We never will. We will again elect corrupt politicians who after losing the election would again humbly request army to dislodge the opponent and then start chanting anti-army slogans.
This is an all too familiar novel.
However, I really feel sorry for the poor who dont even foresee what is going to happan to them. Even though the writing is on the wall but I really really hope I am wrong.

Here is why I am against ALL major dam construction financed by IMF/WorldBank cabal: The SOLE purpose of them is to PRIVATIZE UR WATER/RIVERS. They are already holding talks with Mush about making it a "commercial" enterprise with "ownership" going to World Bank. All talk of more water, electricity is only for PUBLIC consumption and nothing more. Recently UN changed their stance as well from making "Access to Water is a human right" to "Access to FREE-FLOWING water is a human right " Now that is a loaded word if any. The minute you put up a dam, the water no longer remains free-flowing and instead it turns into a commodity to be traded. Don't believe it? Don't but those are the well-hidden facts.

We want to expend all our energies lobbying for one dam, I know how important Kalabagh Dam is, and I am in full support for it. But over the years we have neglected other sources. Take coal for example, Pakistan has the 7th largest coal reserve in the world (in Thar area) and we only produce 0.2% of electricity from it! Coal is one of the cheapest ways to produce electricity, that's why countries like Australia produce 77% of their electricity from coal. And please don't give me the crap about pollution, because work is being done to make it as pollution free as possible.
How about nuclear? We are one of the few declared nuclear states of the world, yet we produce a fraction of power from nuclear as other countries do... Then there is solar (and every part of pakistan has abundant sunlight throughout the year), the Government can encourage people to install solar water heating and solar photovoltaics on their rooftops... And let me not forget wind, out neighbour India is the world's 4th Largest wind power producer in the world!!! Shocking, it's it, but alas, none of our governments have seriously looked into it, therefore Pakistani people are being blessed with the gift of load shedding with the advent of new year!!! So, where does a GDP of 8% stand???

Zardari wont be 10% as bad as Mush. Because demorcartic leader cant go much against pakistani pplz wills. This is because they have to answer ppl of their deeds at the end of the day unlike dictators who cant be accounted for. I think Zardari certainly can do the job if ppl of pakistan put some trust on him.

let me tell you one thing for sure, nothing in pakistan is goin to get better but will get worse each day past. It is because this dictator Mush just care about himself - nothing else. He can go any level to remain in power even if he has to sell pakistan at the end of the day. Right now he is sellin ppl of pakistan to US. Anyway if he remains in power, take my words for it, sooner or later this pakistan will get divided into four. I cant see no future until pakistani ppl get rid of these bastard generals alongwith d***heads of Qatil and MQM leagues.

Load shedding should be permanent in the houses and properties of all MNAs, MPAs etc , and the WAPDA planning and implementation committee. Let them all suffer as well and see how quickly the energy crises gets solved.

They sit on their fat asses in their perpetually centrally heated (air-cooled) villas whilst the masses suffer.

Building endless dams is not the answer. To slow to build and too high an environmental impact.

We have nuclear power - use it. We can get coal power plants, plus renewable energy, a multitude of small power generating plants etc. All this requires vision, planing and implementation. Its not that hard.

Currently, all the vision of the leaders is - "Can I get reelected by any cost so that I can stay comfortable in my Italian marbled floored 10 bed attached bath mansion."

Else, everyone who can afford to - get personal generators

Why is Musharraf still in Power. He is an Illegal president anyways.

The pressure is building for him to go.
