no use arguing with you. anyone who believes that people should be blamed based on their ethnicity is an idiot of the highest order. what was ayub khan? yahya khan? the first dictator of the pakistan army who hijacked pakistan and opened the door for military intervention was a pakhtun. you talked about east pakistan, well i think it seperated because of the discriminatory policies of the pakhtun dictators ayub and yahya, and the mass murder of bengalis by pakhtun army commanders like general tikka khan, also known as “Butcher of Bengal”. also it was a sindhi and not a punjabi leader called bhutto who refused to acknowledge the victory of mujeebur rehman and hence caused more resentment in the bengalis. then another sindhi leader called benazir bhutto looted and bankrupted pakistan. ofcourse this does not mean i start blaming pakhtuns for all this, like you are doing. then after that a muhajir bastard came and hijacked the country, and we have been miserable ever since then. this muhajir has an agenda to break up pakistan and its hypocrites like you who play into his hands. i wouldnt be surprised if you are a closeted musharraf supporter trying to spread fitnah here.

Dont blame the lack of leadership in the country on any province. Our so called leaders/administration or better call them looters had never been sincere to anyone, any province but to themselves alone. Its easy to point finger at punjab being the most populated province and thus naturally having more share in administration. The poor in punjab is as poor as anywhere in the country & corrupt of punjab is as rich as anywhere in the country.
Atleast, the civil society of Pakistan should think above the provincial divide and work towards one common goal; upholding Justice! Only this will allow the rightful share of every person to reach him/her, no matter where they reside in the country.

please take your provincial mindset elsewhere. the army head is not a Punjabi, and most of the previous dictators of Pakistan have been from the NWFP, people like you are two-faced hypocrites who like to take advantage of any situation for their own parochial agenda, whatever the hell that is. Her analysis of the general political situation is perceptive and thought provoking. However, with regards to Baluchistan particularly, I would be very interested to hear views of any Baluchs on this forum to comment on the relative exploitation of the ordinary people by the local (i.e. Baluchi) feudals apart from the Federal government. From a pretty far away reading, I would hazard that the causes for the deprivation and resentment of people in the province are multi-faceted and not only to do with the misappropriatoin of their natural resources.

I would also have liked to hear Hina’s views on where she sees the lawyers’ movement going in the current politcal context as most political parties seem to be (at best) paying lip service to the restoration of pre-emergency / martial law judiciary.
