    …………………As a result, the cases have been piling up. Besides, a large number of lawyers are not well off enough to strike down work for long period. Their lawyers are unhappy at losing clients to less principled colleagues. But they should have kept these constraints in mind before launching the campaign and made provisions against the contingency. It was idle for them to suppose that the struggle would bear fruit in a short span of time. Given the circumstances in which all things were subservient to the wish to hold on to power, it had to be long drawn out.

    I think, we must applaud the lawyers, even if they are now unable to continue their struggle. I am unhappy that the paper put the heading as Lawyer U-turn and has written that lawyers should have foreseen their economic struggle. Well, they did much better than many of the media owners in this country who bowed to financial difficulties within days after emergency.

    Lawyers, all who participated in the struggle even for a day deserve our respect. We must not expect super-human acts from any body - though some of them did come close to it.

    Only if all of us were able to be little more human, the need to expect super-human acts from some will end.

    ………………………….The ‘right path’ appears to be the path of the lawyers’ movement. If they get unqualified support from even one mainstream political party along with the support of APDM and civil society, justice is bound to triumph.

    We, Pakistanis, have decided to give Illegal President Pervaiz Musharraf two titles as a recognition for his efforts to undermine rule of law. We hereby suggest that Pervaiz Musharraf should be addressed as one or both of the following titles:

    1. WINNER OF SUPREME COURT or Faateh Supreme Court

    2. WINNER OF UNARMED PEOPLE OF PAKISTAN or Faateh Nahate Awam

    He has earned these latest titles and they add to a long list of others that we have been giving him in recognition of his efforts to bring Pakistanis to its knees winning US support for weakening Pakistan.

    @ibnbattuta

    Its only super humanly acts and super humans who build a nation. And, by God, we need one desperately. And history has proved time and again that he/she would rise from within, from a middle class, who is sincere to his nation and true to his blood.
    So far, I dont see anyone in sight !!!!

    People like Justice (R) Wajih ud Din should participate in politics and guide the nation. These have much more credibility and patriotism than many others.
