Capital Talk attracted audience because of Hamid Mir. He is the life and soul of this programme, it’s a pile of rubbish without him. Vital issue like elections should have been the topic instead the programme sounds like a PR campaign of Mush’s European Tour. And why Geo avoid criticizing India when we know for sure that India is actively lobbing against Pakistan geopolitical interest in the region, specially in the light of their naval head’s recent statement we could clearly see the future of Indian policy towards Pakistan, instead Govt is allowing Indian movies to be shown in Pakistani cinemas, feeding our enemy’s pockets to destroy us, brilliant strategy!

I cannot watch that program. I have watch first 3 minutes and it is enough. I will like to wait for Hamid Mir…..

This guy Mohammad Malik used to do a program called Hot Seat. I dont know which channel used to air that show. I think it was PTV.

I am glad that not only me some other folks also noticed the presence of Humayun Gohar. It is planned by establishment. He is just another low level opportunist supporter of Musharraf and enemy of Pakistan. He believed to be a ghostwriter of Musharraf’s notorious autobiography. Actually it is not his fault he inherits from his blood. His father Altaf Gohar was the long term advisor to Dictator Gen, Ayub Khan and considered to be a mastermind of lot of wrong decisions of that time.

Humayun Gohar is just the imitation of his father – both have some talent to be outspoken and pretend like genuine scholars but just opportunist and fraud. There trick is to throw some real facts (that suits them) and ignore other side of the coin and create confusion. BUT good news is they are outdated now. Nobody cares about them other than sinking Military Dictatorship. Tell me who believe him when he is arguing in Aaj TV that all of our problems are because we don’t have presidential form of government.

Hay goofy Humayun – if your masters in GHQ don’t want to respect the land of the law (Constitution) then it just you goofy don’t want to understand the problem and now you are telling us that it is our tradition that whoever has sword should rule and democracy doesn’t goes with our tradition?

Capital Talk without Hamid Mir seemed so unreal and artificial. What made it worst was its host Mr Malik who is so so un-impressive, but then what can you expect from an ex PTV host. It seems like GEO has finally bowed to the pressure from the dictator. this will have huge impact on their audiance ratings. Please bring back Hamid Mir and Shahid Masood. After all AAJ TV has the guts to keep Talat who continues to do good job.

Get a life you all! Try to be honest and just once in a while, for a change at least; regardless of your attachment with Hamid Mir, this was a reasonably good program and in fact more serious than average Hamid Mir shows, who often exhibits his lack of intellectual depth.

@Bulleh Shah: I am not really up to throwing ‘Tohmats’ around without being sure that I can back each word I say in front of God some day. However at least about the programme ‘Tikon’ that you are referring to, I can clearly feel your description is biased and disingenuous; ‘government systems’ was the subject of that programme; what else did you want to hear in it? recipe of aalu bhaji? It may not have been very spicy for your taste if you just like programmes where people only come to play blame-games, but all three of the participants had solid arguments in favour of their opinions and overall it was a fairly good programme.

One concern we all Pakistanis have is the corruption and injustices that these leaders do - when next govt comes, they don’t do anything about the previous govt frauds, they never put them behind bars or take away their properties or hang them….pakistani politics is all corrupt….they all are same….when they are in power, they do everything and no one can question them….opposition just blackmales them and take political advantage due to govt’s failures….but when opposition comes in power, they repeat the history…..really nervous about future f pakistan. We all love our country but really lack a good leadership who is big on Haqooq ul Ibad…..I think pakistanis who live abraod will always want to go back to their country but when they see what is happening in their country, they choose not to go back….and our govt. are responsible for loss of talent….why we check news or this site everyday because we love our country and hope that it goes back on the right track again……

Regretably, none of these paricipans have th courage to criticicze Mush for the current problems. I give some credit to Talat Masood for blaming the current ilegitimate regime. He was right to say, that current dangerous situation in Pakistan can be a source alarm and concern to other peaceful nations in the world. Ww must have our house in order before blaming others. I firmly believe that the blame must rest with Mush, corrupted politicians and some opportunistic elite class of pakistanis support ing Mush.

Mr. Humayun Ghohar repeatedly blamed America for every conceivable problems facing Pakistan. He never blamed Mush and his reckless policies, which are solely the cause of current coagmeir in our country.

I have listened to him on a differet program where he was advocting presidential system in Pakistn. During that program he was expressin his hate for mullas. and had no clue about preidential system. Given the fact that his knowledge about the current sensive issues i lacking, he should not be allowed speak on such senstive issues facing Pakistan. In my opinion he is not intellectual at all.

How to stop Western interference in internal matters of Pakistan??.

1. Immediate reignition of Mush and His govt.
2.Restoration of independent judiciary.
3.Fair, free and transparent electios to be held on Feb. 18
4. Decline conditional foreign aid. and learn to live with in own means. Stop being international beggars.
5. Equal and fair ditribution of wealth among all classes of Pakistan.
6. Respec of human rights, women’s right and minority rights
7. Build up and strengthen the independent national institutions.
8.Army to defend the borders——ONLY
9. And many more

I think I am guilty of pointing and laughing at Gauhar instead of countering his arguments (if any) …

Without going into the ad-hominem parts, I do think he tends to disagree for the sake of disagreeing and I don’t know why he keeps bringing up Deng Xioa Ping. He seems to admire the fact that Den Xioaping fed the largest number of people on earth. Provision of food, and large quantities thereof seem to be very nicely done.

But in this and the “system of governement” program he seems to support the methods of Deng X. and imply that the ends justify the mean, and THAT is where he gives his anti-democartic way of thinking away… I think the Fauji Jurnails use the exact kind of reasoning to prolong their exploitation of Pakistan (albiet without ever being anywhere NEAR as successful as the Communis Party of China?)

I found the host to be repetitve and slightly paranoid but I haven’t watched too many of his programs so can’t really make an opinion off of just one.
