And look what this TREACHEROUS FOOL has reduced Pakistan Army to:

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/urdu/pakistan/story/2008/01/080126_kinapped_soldiers_sq.shtml

His “spokes person” (Rashid Qureshi) should also be charged with treason under article 6 of the constitution. He has been with this dacoit from day one.

The self-styled Emperor Musharraf is not only a corrupt, incompitent, but also a known debauched person, stories abound in garrisons.

Dear Taban could you kindly summarize the gist of that article? as to why the jawans don’t want to work for the army?

@Omar Khan: I’m not sure why the soldiers are not willing to work, maybe they realize they are just cannonfodder or maybe they are just saying this to not get killed by their captors. I think they are just scared and making this up, hoping they’ll be released before they are killed… just conjecture on my part.

I don’t have an issue with a proper and loyal defensive force which should enjoy high morale and a level of respect amongst the population, but currently our Army is FAR from it! We have people like these, the cannon fodder from the rural areas who are sent to these areas “to fight” while they are doing it just to collect a paycheck and support a family back in the pind/jhok/chak . Now it is turning out that parts of the population are not willing to just take it lying down and they are shooting back, and at that time, our soldiers seem to be laying down their arms (as they should IMO) because their job is NOT to fight their own people.

How ever, I must say, that the clandestine nature of these meetings, mushrraf the one-call-trolls track record of counter productive anti-pakistan activities and so forth I don’t assume good faith towards whatever he does. He is a coward, a hypocrite and a weak ass puppet. So yes in this instance we should be vigilant for the sake of the republic becoming a tool in the hands of foreign offices and lobbyists (as if it’s not one on some levels already).

@admin: I think our conversation of the deterioration of the morale of the Pakistani Armed forces is along the general theme of “pakistan burning and the general playing bridge etc.” I would have appreciated the exploration done by Omer Khan in this regard :(

Dear Admin, You are doing a splendid job of maintaining this site and I think many readers would appreciate it even more if “deleted” comments were moved to the general discussion thread with a stub left over saying “moved to thread X as this is off topic here” I have managed forums before and that is the policy I used to employ and have seen done on other forums. But that may be just more work for you, and this is your site, so I only have a sense of loss for the comments left by users who spent some time putting them together.

@all : I don’t have an issue with diplomatic relations with Israel, but I am of the opinion that not much good will come out of it. Basic reason is the people’s mistrust of the state of Israel (for good reason). Plus, if Pakistan hasn’t learned research from the rest of the world, they’re not going to learn a damn thing from Israel.

I do think that post colonial Muslims have done a splendid job of falling into every single trap that was set for them in terms of facade countries and states, along with “disputed” territories Kashmir/Kuwait/Israel are but a few. The time to fight for holy lands was during the 1850’s because that is when the foundation of the destruction of the ottomon empire were laid, so waking up a centruy too late is only characterstic of our ridiculously decayed society.

My advice to Muslims/Arabs now would be to forget about Israel for at least a hundred to two hundred years. Stop wasting your energies on this futile effort of dislodging Israel from the map and concentrate on rebuilding your own base. As long as the “holy land” is concerned we should cross that bridge when we come to it..

The only problem is that Israel, because of it’s own version of the “existential threat” is working actively to decimate the region into lawless “somalias” which will keep themselves busy for the next 50 or so years. This is another reason they want to check Iran and possibly do the same as Iraq (using American might of course)

So, even if Muslims stopped, I’m not sure Israel will stop pursuing it’s own geo political aims.

@Taban thanks bro. And I agree pkpolitics is a great site.

I think no good has come out of not recognizing Israel either, infact, if anything there it gives much substance to those who want to somehow exhibit Pakistan’snuclear prowess as a threat to Israel. BS I know. But I think trading with Israel is not in our disfavor. Infact, it would be great if we established good relations with Russia, Israel and other former foes.

Yeah Israel and its politics are a blot on humanity, and it’ll come and bite it sooner or later. We should karma take its course while try to benefit our position for the sake of our secrity and betterment of our people as much as possible.

No use figting someone else’s war when in our homefront we have lost many moral high grounds because of this military f***tards. Does any one even remember Kashmir any more? Somehow the just and celebrated and moral kashmir struggle is also now part of “islamofascism”, “9/11″ and war on terror.

@thejofva if it happened through Mush, it’ll spell utter disaster. The peoples of Pakistan do not trust this puppet fascist foolish establishment. If it is to be done, it must be done through an elected body with popular mandate and proper national discourse. What you’re saying is what this puppet regime has been doing all along with disastrous results for Pakistan.

Musharraf is depicting the iterated and obnoxious behavior like he was demonstrating at Rawalpindi on 12 Oct. He didn’t really care about the sufferings and mistreatments of honorable lawyers in Karachi, he still doesn’t care about the cruel anarchy country is facing.

    Let me throw some light on the character of Emperor Nero of Rome and how his rule ended;

In character he was, brutal, weak, sensuel, erratic, extravagant, sadistic, bisexual, artistic, sporting, deranged and madman. He made several attempts to kill his own mother. Finally he sent an assassin who stabbed her mother to death.

Nero was adopted, step son of the Emperor Claudius. Nero was given the name Nero Claudius. Nero poisoned his younger step brother, married his sister , constructed a very big Golden Palace ,covering a huge area , at the place where the fire broke out/ took place( on almost 13 districts out of 17 ). Divorced and murdered his wife and married Sabina. Later on he kicked her to death. Nero, always a man desperate to become popular, therefore looked for scapegoats on whom the fire could be blamed. He found it in an obscure and new religious sect, the Christians (Thrown to the wild beasts in the circus, crucified, burned to death at night /serving as light in Nero’s gardens). Finally, the senate condemned the Emperor Nero to be flogged to death. Nero heard of this, flees and chose to commit suicide.

God knows better as what will be the fate of Musharraf, who is acting almost in a similar manner as Nero. Pakistan’s prevailing condition is not different from that of Rome. Our senate is different from Romans.
