U.S. blesses ’some’ fraud in Pakistan polls

The US State Department said it expected Pakistan’s upcoming elections to be tainted and called on all groups, including international monitors, to keep a tight scrutiny of the landmark event. “We don’t necessarily accept a certain level of fraud but if history is any guide and reports are any guide, we should expect some,” Assistant Secretary of State Richard Boucher said at a Congressional hearing on the February 18 polls.

    Why should US be so worried about the fairness of elections..? are they worried that their Mush will not get through? If they are so worried about our democratic system then first thing they should have asked Mush to step down. All they want is a destabilized Pakistan so that it can work for the fullfillment of their desires and command.
    If they are so worried then they should ask to replace our PM Sumroo, Nazims, EC, etc and all these people should be replaced by the retired judges of repute. By supporting a dictator their credibility in our democracy is null and void.

    why dont richard boucher applies same thing in his own country,why wouldn’t they allow the same thing like:arrest that chief justice of supreme court who is hearing the case against guantanamo bay and why wouldn’t they allow their army chief to coup and topple the bush regime as they had failed in iraq and afghanistan instead they emphasize on change in their policies.

    if we can have a fair election in 1970 than why can we have it right now

    2 countries got independence at the same time n same year and have got the same situations but one is struggling for democracy and the other is occupying democracy day by day

    Pakistani people say, that when USA openly ‘blesses’ than it means, not SOME but ALL ‘BLESSINGS’ to the rulers to commit election fraud OPENLY, without any fear or remorse.

    If BUSH & his henchmen could equally COMMIT A BIGGER ELECTORAL FRAUD of the CENTUARY, US state of Florida, & GET AWAY with it, to be ‘ CROWNED ‘ as President , then the rulers in Pakistan, can ‘ GO AHEAD & DO THE SAME ‘ with the official BLESSINGS, from the YANKEES !

    We will undermine Dictator Mush with or without US help. USA is not God, they couldn’t save Shah of Iran. How can they save Mush Kutta??

    @Optimist

    I think the admin. pk poitics has also pointed it out somewhere in these columns, & advised us, i. e; the members, not to engage / address each other directly, but to stick to the topic, ( because, it will unneccessarily generate acrimony, amongst the members. )

    If U R so much averse to my comments, or cannot GULP DOWN MY MISTAKES, then U R advised to plz either SKIP my comments or ELSE, with due respects, KEEP MUM, or to PLZ KEEP your COMMENTS / OBSERVATIONS to YOURSELF.

    If one goes thru daily comments by members, then it is CERTAINLY NOT ME,
    BUT YOU, who is in a regular habit of commenting on each & every subject, however insignficant or of teeny-weeny importance, it may be !

    Plz allow me to ask U, ( & I hope U will plz not mind ) that how OLD are U? Whether, U are old or young, PLZ DO NOT FORGET, THAT, 1st, OUR RELIGION ISLAM teaches us, ( if U at all happen to be a musliim ) & then, later, OUR ASIAN & PAKISTANI CULTURE, teaches us ( wherever U may be residing, whether in EAST or in WEST) to be respectful, to others, i. e ; who may either be elder to U, or else, maybe of an advanced age?

    I think if U care to read, each member’s comments in full detail, then U MAY have ALSO read BEFORE, that I have NOT hidden my age,ANYWHERE, which is, for Ur kind information, & to REPEAT FOR U, that I am 65 years old.

    U definitely sound to be much younger than me , & whether U R young or old, OR WHETHER NOT, plz , I AGAIN REPEAT, & REQUEST, U ,PLEASE NOT TO THRUST your KNOWLEDGE UPON other members.

    This MAYBE my 1st & last time, that I am REQUESTING U to keep Ur KNOWLEDGE TO YOURSELF; & NOT TO ‘ SHOW-OFF ‘ TO me, AT LEAST, or to indicate & SHOW to the WHOLE WORLD, that ‘ GOD has made U MISTAKE-FREE ‘ ?

    @admin Pk.politics.

    I have tried to be as polite as possible to Ur member, as above. U R also requested to ask him / her, whosoever, to plz keep an ear open, as advised. Thanks.
