Salam everyone. this program was a good one.which educated common masses about massive pre poll rigging in Pakistan i was astonished to know that how an intelligencce personnel was involved in electoral process.secondly so much reports were quoted which describe the rigging in polls.in addition to that an institution only gave 26 points to polling process.wat a pity!!!!
i believe that during such circumstances we all should come out so that the plans of QAINCHI LEAGUE N MUSH shuld fail.
we all should contribute 2 make our country a democratic state n should wholeheartedly support lawyer’s moment
good job done by TALAT sir again.
Assalam-o-Alaikum,
Syed Talat Hussain, conduct this show very nicely …….. and asked few recommendations about coming general election in February 2008.
1. Remove Pervez Musharraf immediatly.
2. Posponed General Elections for 60 days.
3. Reinstate Chief Justice Supreme Court with other 60 judges.
4. Reorganize Election Commision.
5. Get new nomination papers from all individuals.
6. Allow every political party to contest the general elections.
7. No restictions to any leader for participating in general elections.
8. Remove the district nazims till official election results.
9. Private tv channels and journalists can move and report freely and monitor.
Thanks Hameed for this great summary.. Yes, if these elections are going to be held on Feb 18, there’ll be a mess, this thing is for sure. I think among these 9 points, removal of Musharaf, current EC, current caretaker govt, and current nazims are the crucial points. Rest all will be based on these.
It is with a sense of relief and admiration that Syed Talat Hussain managed to conduct this discussion covering most issues concerning the forthcoming elections and that all participants offered clear and forthright views.
Having shed tears and prayers for the wellbeing of Pakistan all my 54 yrs in the UK and having no particular leanings towards any political party I say this with a heavy heart that the present ruler seems to me to be a desparate and a dishonest man who is prepared to go any distance to stop the results going against him.I think he has gone far enough when he tells the world that Pakistani people do not deserve democracy. What can be more insulting (tauheen) for the nation and it also shows what he thinks of his people.
In view of this to expect him and his henchmen to hold a fair election would be a wishful thinking.
So God bless the legal community and its leaders to continue their struggle for “Rule of Law”in Pakistan and I appeal to every Pakistani wherever you are to please give full support.
Thanking you
i liked that point which said that plan is to keep nawaz out. give ppp power in sind and center and give power to pervaiz elahi in punjab who would act as establishment’s agent to keep the ppp destabilized in the center with establishment keeping the real power without any trouble. Thats why I always say that establishment would never give up power in Pakistan
