in 1993 even during Army operation MQM won huge seats in Prov. Assembly ( Do u think those army helped them to get votes ).MQM was not in National Assembly they did not take part for NA seats.

However like many seats taken by PML-Q in Balochistan and some in Punjab, there have been some seats which have been illegally occupied by MQM by use of state resources, intimidation and plain illegal ballot stuffing.

These few additional seats would be enough for MQM to cause havoc and instability in Pakistan.

that is just odd… The thing is MQM could have won easily without the shenanigans, but they had to do it to deceive ppl into thinking their constituency is not shrinking (that is just my theory). I’m talking about NA-246, Karachi-VIII now.

Avg voters per PS: 1290
Avg Voted for MQM: 916
so this is an incredible! average voting rate of 71% PER POLLING STATION!

Just to give u an example in Hyderabad , there is a constituency where PPPP man won securing something like 120k votes where as PML Q loser has got something like 80K votes.

Now , whats wrong if Kharachities have voted for MQM.

We are more than happy to accept rest of Pakistan results but problem with Karachi . Isn’t strange ?

We should also look at the fact that events which occurerd after BB death that have caused the panic in Urdu Speaking community . Thats probably a big reason for higher turnover.

Frankly speaking i was not accepting such big turnout anywhere in the country. I have been observing elections since 1988 but such high turnover is unprecedented.
