I wonder who is able to cut off the transmission?
PML(q) is no longer in-charge and I find it hard to accept that at this point Musharraf would be able to order such a thing. Where are the orders for such an act coming?

Couple of times, the participants of this program mentioned that 87% of Pakistani Awam wants judiciary to be restored. I wonder where this number was coming from. Do you see what I see?

There is no doubt that majority want democracy and if Q league and MQM would not have rigged then they would have been eliminated…completely. So I would say 95 % of the awam. The mendate is clear. Azaab e Illahi is still in the halucination of being number one… They said that they will see how the new parliament can restore the judiciary. He very well knows that the dirt and filth which they have spread coats and recoats can not be cleaned with in days.

The channels should definetily be free, but they should also have some sensible guidelines so that we avoid ethnicity quarrels and get rid of some propaganda work from certian quarters. This will off course be done to a significant extent by the viewers. For example if GEO continue to air MQM propaganda then the viewers will automatically turn to other and more reliable channels. We should not expect totally unbiased reporting from any channel as the people who run these channels also have some opnions, feelings etc.

as a matter of principal nobody can dis-agree over independence of judiciery and freedom of press, but i dont know any tv personalities take sides like talat, kashif abbasi are doing. I dont blame when govt. cracked-down on them in november 07 over their one sided attitude.

if nawazoo won the election on “one point agenda” of independent judiciery, one must look into the percentage of votes he got. is anybody consider any value to those who actually went against nawazoo? i mean people in sindh, nwfp and balochistan who didn’t elect him.

PML-N got seats in National and provicial assembly seats from NWFP and Punjab and many thusand votes from Balochistan and Sindh. I hope this will further improve in next elections. PML-N has got votes on national issues and people have preferred to vote for national issues in most of the areas.

Gen. Rirmazi won, i did not see any confirmation? He was cutting into the lead in recount but i did not see any confirmation that he has over taken.
Also Admin, i am trying to find out the exact %age of votes polled by PML-Q and not that general statement of PML-Q and allies as it is not valid what Pervaiz Ilahi is stating. PPP we know got 37%, MQM 9%, PML-N 23%, PML-Q how much percent?. ANP how much % and MQM how much percent ?.

why waste time arguing with people who do not understand or do not want to understand the facts and writing on the wall and i repeat that the best is to pray for their mental health. so no replies to anyone, only prayers for mirror’s mental health and his supporters.
However, I was thinking that Talat was making the right point of at least finalizing an agenda before going in assemblies but pppp seems to resist that. It would be better if they got together on an agenda as soon as possible so that concerted action in assemblies is possible

I also feel this strange and i have reservations about PPPP that why in the world they are not saying we will retore the judges.AZ is saying about independent judiciary and etc etc but he has not uttered the word restore once i dont know why. Also it is ok to go in assembly and do it afterwards i have no problem with that but why cannt they commit it before going to parliament. Just state it that we will do it and go in parliament and discuss it there. But why are they not comitting it puzzels me :(

The reason WHY Mr. Zardari is NOT speaking in favour of RESTORING the judges is simple-

His Masters do not want that !. I would be shocked if they remove the PEMRA ordinance to free the media. Because they DO NOT want and INDEPENDENT judiciary and they DO NOT want INDEPENDENT MEDIA.
Mr. Zardari does not have the character to stand upto the USA. All this vascillation is indicative of what PPP has in store. The people are FAR ahead of the politicians and if the Politicians do not follow the people- then REVOLUTION will come and it will be sooner than the Politicians are capable of anticipating.

i wish things would go the right way without a revolution since revolutions are bloody and unpredictive. I do not trust zardari much but he had played a really mature role after benazir’s tragic death. May be he would again play a good role but we will have to wait and see

All this can be done in one day:

    -kick musharraf out
    -restore judiciary
    -pemra ordinance termination

Politicians are just too damn lazy!!! Only their mouth works but physically they do nothing.

Exactly right. The above 3 can be taken care off in one day. Just do the point-2(Restoration of Judiciary) and the rest 2 will automatically be taken care off per the constitution. No need of bloody revolution or any thing like that. Yes We Can Paksitan, Yes We Can make it happen peacefully and per the already existent laws.

Just listen to the concluding remarks of Talat. No doubt, People , lawyers and media have fulfilled their duty of raising their voice. Now the onus is on Politicians. Lets see how they perform their act in the face of a cunning dictator. The odds are against them.

If PPPP restores the democracy then they would see how easy it will become to govern Pakistan because Judiciary will take care of the mafias and help them to keep the establishment in its pants. That will ultimately ease the pressure on Prime minister, if they sincerely want to govern the country,.
