Desperate men do desperate things. Musharraf is desperate.

He will ask Kiyani’s help- which will be turned down. Then he will fire Kiyani and
appoint one of his fellows who will do what he wants-Martial Law a 3rd time and once he has this worked out-

58-2 B- He dissolves the parliament because of ” danger ” to Pakistan just as on 3rd of Nov.

Fanciful- maybe but the senior army guys are talking about it.

With due respet I don’t agree with ur predictions. I don’t think he would be able 2 do anything now. He isnt being liked by the people of pakistan and they have given their decision. The establishment isn’t anyone’s jageer. It goes with the flow of water. As soon as they see a democratic govt beginning to be formed, they would support them rather than a useless president whose days are numbered and who can’t be of any use to anyone now.
If He could do something He would have made PML-Q win the elections. He did try 2 do dhandlee but people voted so massively against him and his allies that elections couldn’t technically be rigged considering the fact that 45.6 % people casted their votes which is the highest percentage since 1970 elections. The seats that his ally parties won would have been less than half they got if the elections were completely fair.
You have seen in surveys that more than 75 % people were against musharraf right, now the establishment and keyani would take that thing in mind and before doing any military coup against the present govt-to-be this soon, they would think a thousand times and I doubt they would go ahead with it. I think withdrawing their support from a single man ( Musharraf ) would be easier for them than to combat millions of people of pakistan including lawyers, judges, mediamen and most of the political parties.

It is Mush’s habbit to go back on his words. He is Liar No.1. So now if he has said that he willnot restore judiciary then I am sure it will be restored. He never thinks before he speaks. He said that BB and Nawaz can never come back. Today they are back and see the fate that Mush’s future is in their hands. Only difference is that BB has been wiped out by the scene. If he says that he has nothing to do with BB’s murder then I think looking at his trak record…. Mush has got every thing t do with it….

bro do you still think there is any doubt that his final destination is Hellfire? this man has killed countless number of innocent Muslims, including little girls who were hafiz of the Quran. he has kidnapped thousands of people, whose families must be cursing him day and night in their duas. rest assured that hes going straight to Hell where he will stay forever inshallah.

Mush is a master of U-Turns. He went AWOL in 1965 and was almost court martialled. He was posted in Dras-Kargil sector in 1971 war which Pakistan lost completely. (Before 1971 Kargil was part of Pakistan).

After coming to power he did a complete U-Turn on Afghanistan which even surprised his master Colin Powel.

Then the ‘great leader’ does a complete U-Turn on Kashmir which even the Indians could not have asked for.

Expect him soon to do a U-turn again and pack his bags as he leaves to live with his son Bilal Musharraf in USA.

But hope before that he is impeached, jailed and tried for treason.

In Washington, State Department spokesman Tom Casey said the U.S. administration hoped “whoever winds up in charge of the new government would be able to work with (Musharraf).”

    Why with Musharraf?

    From the same story:
“The prime minister runs the government. The president has his own position, but has no authority running the government,” he (Musharraf) told the newspaper.

What was he doing for the past eight years as pResident?

  • Tab'an Khamosh said:

@nota: He is forgetting the powers he and the treacherous judges gave him including the power to amend the Farkin constitution.

He lies through his teeth. and the State department shows criminal negligence when they feign ignorance of his constitutional crimes. Actually, they’ve been his enthusiastic supporters and possibly legal advisors in all this.

let us hope the following things will now take place in order to establish “rule of law” in Pakistan:
    1. a coalition of the leading parties i.e PPPP PMLN ANP is formed in the centre
    2. the consitution and the independent judiciary is restored
3.the parliament will impeach Musharraf and that he is put on trial for treason.
    4. freedom of the press is restored and all political detainees are released
5.a bill is passed urgently in the parliament that the army will never again
intefere in the affairs of the government

CORRUPTION: In addition to the lawlessness existing in our society from top to bottomwhich I would say has been promoted and encouraged by our rulers, the big problem of corruption has destroyed the very fabric of our nation. In order to control this disease, I suggest
establishing of “Ehtisab courts” in all the provinces, based on a bench of
2-3 judges, fully independent and “NO APPEAL”against their decisions. With powers like these I feel sure only the most hardened criminal will indulge in corruption

    Good luck God bless Pakistan

I would like to remind all of those that want Musharraf’s skin-

please do not forget Nov 3rd. The country is full of Abdul Hameed Dogars and the like

He did what he wanted to do and the people could do nothing to dislodge him.
Keep in mind 58-2 B and the support of the US which is already twisting the arms of the Zardari etc to come be nice to Mush. My sources in the armed forces know Musharraf and he ain’t leaving no matter what.
So get ready for a rouger ride guys !

  • Tab'an Khamosh said:

@shimatoree: I have the same feeling but I think the pressure can be brought to bear upon him if Zardari doesn’t piss his pants under pressure. Zardari is basically continuing the BB policy, which was to go with Mush and Q but the monkey wrench is the Q lost so miserably so it is hard for him to leave NS openly…

Unfortunately, this is what we get for having the party structures destroyed by successive military regimes. Only opportunists are coming forward mainly. This is separate from the aspirations of the People. They have given the message, but will the same-old same-old leaders heed this call? I dunno.

I am starting to like the NS standpoint more and more through all of this. At least he is talking the talk, remains to be seen when/how he will walk the wallk.

Same here but then he usually takes a 180 degree stand under “Nazria-e-Zaroorat” and …

@Adil et alYou are probably right. I will just repeat the US State Department statement above as it needs repeating:
“whoever winds up in charge of the new government would be able to work with (Musharraf).”
That along with the recent Zardari meeting at the US Consulate with Americans AND Mush’s people does not bode well.

Like Cowasjee said “Yay Sidha nahin jaayga bulky late ker jai ga” i.d. He ain’t going standing but lying down i.e. the only way this b*atard is leaving is if he is dead…

I don’t think Mush can stay any longer. He has been given a check-mate as they say in chess. He has no way out except to bow his head down and accept defeat. The writing is on the wall. The reason y am saying this is ..
IMO judiciary is gona be restored because in no LOGICAL sense watsoever, u can not restore judiciary and judiciary and Mush are two extremely opposite poles of a magnet.
Now people are wondering Zardari’s stance on releasing the judges is there but restoring Iftikhar and other judges isn’t clear. I tell u that is because of cases against him. This is the ONLY reason ONLY. I think the graveness of his cases isn’t big enough to overshadow the graveness of Mush being in power. 2ndly Zardari was in Jail for 11 and a half years which technically is more than life imprisonment in Pakistan.
So for Zardari to negotiate with NS and Iftikhar chaudhry and co is easier than to negotiate with MUSH and co who had recently talked about NRO being cancelled. I think general amnesty would be given to zardari anyways.

ACTUALLY MY NICK NAME WAS GO MUSHARRAG GO BUT ITS NOT COMIN OUT LIKE DAT SO THOSE WHO WERE WONDERING WAT WAS MY NICK NAME IT WAS GOI MUSHARRAF GO

  • Adil said:

And Mush is like a venom-less snake now. He has only 58-2b which is gona be immediately taken off and pppp and pml-n stance on this is clear. Afterall in democracy who would want a non-popular president to have 58-2b ? This bill would be passed sooner than mush has any reason to dismiss the govt-to-be.
Lets talk about good things for pakistan ahead. The stock exchange is already seeing positive signs immediately after election results. Huge investments are awaiting the arrival democratic govt and things would improve INSHALLAH.

  • bechari-awam said:

I don’t think mushi can do anything now. He cannot use 582b because army is not gonna support it and this double-edged sword works only when you have strong backing of army. Just read the comments in foreign newspapers mentioning Gen kiyani will be replacing MI chief very soon. ISI and IB chiefs will be replaced too once new PM sworn in. I am hoping kiyani will replace corp commander pindi and 111 brigade head too. That way he will be saving his back. Mind it that present situation for this basta*d was not possible unless kiyani had eliminated army role in elections.

  • shimatoree said:

To all those who think that Mush has to go and there is no way he can stay-

In addition to 58-2 B- remember the new fact that Mr. Zardari himself went to see the American Ambassador before meeting any elected political leader of Pakistan !
This means that he is being given his marching orders as to keep the promises made by his wife BB who was supposed to make a coalition govt. with Musharraf at the behest of the USA. If PPP appoints Amin Fahim as the PM- then do not expect Nawaz to be a coalition partner. Instead ANP and MQM and others will join and even though Zardari has ruled out PML-Q- they will be his hidden allies.
Being a pessimist-( or a realist)- I am losing sleep over this scenario.

The Army guys have told me that MUSH ain’t going and he has the support of USA in this.

58-2b is not issue any more. Mush was elected by the truncated and retired parliament and is ilegimate president. He has no constitutional authority over the new pparliament. He has be to be rmoved by force, if he refuse to leave voluntary.

  • shimatoree said:

Based on the 17th amendment- according to 58-2 B the president has the authority to dissolve the assembly and he can and will do that if it means that he gets to stay as president.
Plus in order for PPP and PML-N to un do 58-2 B and they have only 154 seats in the assembly and they will require a 2/3 rd majority . Perhaps they can get PML-Q to go with them or the ANP and independents but that is far fetched .
Now keep in mind the Senate has a PML-Q majority. The issue is not if Mush is legitimate or not. The issue is at PRESENT he is the ” ELECTED ” president. The present supreme court of A.H.Dogar will support him for obvious reasons.
Remove By FORCE ! who will use this force and where will it come from ? The only way is to restore the pre-Nov 3rd judiciary and I doubt if the Americans will allow Zardari to help Nawaz do that . Only the old supreme court can decide the illegitimacy of Mush and therefore the reason why the Americans do not want them back

  • nota said:

    @shimatoree
Like i said here, Mush is now just a paper tiger (more like toilet paper tiger) and all this talk of needing 2/3 majority to undo the PCO is nonsense. IT HAS ALREADY BEEN DONE. It was done the very day of Nov 3 by the last decision to come under CJ Iftikahar Chaudhry and signed by some of the very same PCO judges now sitting in the Supreme court. Also remember Mushy accepted on tape his Nov 3 actions were illegal…

Reinstate the judges, and let them judge everyone – including Musharraf, Zardari (the cases Musharraf removed against the bhuttos must be brought back), and Nawaz Sharif (any agreements he may or may not have had must be judged by an independent judiciary)

  • nota said:

    @GuyFawkes
“Reinstate the judges, and let them judge everyone”

Maybe when Ch. Shujaat said “I dare Nawaz to reinstate the judges” that is the implicit threat he was making …
