Video: Negroponte signals US distancing from Musharraf

United States’ Deputy Secretary of State John Negroponte is signaling that the Bush administration is distancing itself from President Pervez Musharraf after opposition victories in last week’s elections.

He told the senate’s powerful foreign relation committee on Thursday that the US is supporting Pakistan’s people as they choose their leaders after the parliamentary elections.

It is very important to give the final push towards restoration of judiciary. The victory in this case is not far away, inshallah. The Yankees have maybe seen our determination to restore the judiciary and desire to get rid of Kaedo. He shall not have the opportunity to kill democracy by his poisonous actions.

I wish they would have allowed AA & IK to go ahead with the march. I agree with AA’s sentiment that it was to give moral support to PPP, PMLN, ANP and they could say with more force and point to the Pakistani street.

I DESPISE negroponte with every fiber in my soul. This man is an expert on death squads and everwhere he shows up to “mediate” or as an ‘ambassador’, bloodthirsty death squads make their appearance within a few months. He is alleged to have instigated the deathsquads in Bolivia & Guatemala and most recently, the Iraqi death squads also made an appearance after his badbaKht appearance in Iraq. This man is an expert in turning countries into Somalia’s .

Beware Negropote! If he says it to Biden, 95% chance he is LYING and they are still pushing tooth and nail to support Mush the illegal usurper of constitution.

I am a bit troubled by our (over)reaction to every single news/rumor coming out of Americans.
First, this website (which I LOVE very much) and the contributors here made a big hoopla about americans cutting a deal with politicians on conditionally supporting the resotration of judiciary (this news nt substantiated by any other reputable news service) And now this Negroponte thing, what he said was simply ordinary, no need to look too deep into it.

Bush regime is still supportive of their own agenda no matter who in Islamabad carries it out. Dear PKpolitics fellowmen/women, Lets wait a few more days and find out . Dont get all worked up.

Negroponte is like the gruesome angel of death and destruction. His appearance on the side of Musharraf means only one thing. Mush has sold his soul to the devil himself.

This is about all I can do in terms of hyperbole. thanks for watching! :)

Mr laghari is a big looser booser. He is mad, frustrated and in denial. He has clearly admitted the reckless policies of his govrnment. He and his government has failed miserably. PML-Q and MQM have braught havoc on the people of Pakistan. Mr Mush and his government have braught our country to the brink of dizaster. Laghari is proven incompetent like choudharies and may be corrupted as well. That is the reason why he was kicked out by the people of Pakistan. I WOULD LIKE TO CHALLENGE THE WISDOM OF Mr HAMID Mir of inviting this inomptent looser.

On a seprate note I would like to suggest Mr Mir to be consructive and unbiased.
