I think all those who die are Jannati. The reason being that world specially Pakistan is becoming more like a Hell. Atleast up there there is Justice…..

Jo yeh ho raha hai, bahut Ghalat ho raha hai! This is all Musharraf’s bankrupt fear based Policies. You can see none of this is happening in Iran because Iran kept their nose out of this .. and the border there is even more porous.

Another interesting feature of Iran is that their military KEEPS THE FIRK OUT OF POLITICS and OBEY”S THE CIVILIANS! instead of raping the country and calling it “saving the country”.

Nusrat said that personally he would like some socialism to come back. Many people will agree with that.
It is very unfortunate that in the last 15 years the international debate has made the question of Islam and the West as its central theme, leaving capitalism free to reign. The result is that neo-liberal economic became the buzz word everywhere. This economic policy has while incraese overall growth in many countries, heightened intra-country rich and poor gap.
I think it is neither desirable nor posisble to go back to socialist economies but it is really important that alternatives to current pre-dominance of capitalism ased economies is found. One posisbility is to consider mixed economy model, where by some commodoties and services are run through public governance.

I would be more interested in listening Mushtaq Minhas & Nusrat Javed’s comments on MQM

  8. adeel ayub on March 1st, 2008 7:12 am

this programme is more comedy than current affairs. But i think in these troubled times V need these sort of programmes. Luv the way mushtaq Minhas contradicts nusrat javed theories!!!!!!!!

i am from Saifulla’s constituency, they have never been in opposition, they always switch ends whith change of Govt.

    Hamayun Saifullah - MNA - PLM (Q)

    Salim Saifullah - Senator - PML (Q)

Anwar Saifullah - MPS - Ind. (Now PPP)

look at this family and their politics

since 1987 they never been in opposition

  10. atif on March 1st, 2008 12:47 pm

    @muqqafa

    totally agreed

rather than some socialism, which is kind of reformists (like labour party in UK)

a complete socialism is needed in pakistan, india and countries like us

now before discussing drawbacks of socialism, i would please ask you people not to discuss state capitalism of Soviet Union and so called “communism”

  11. Zarak Khan on March 1st, 2008 12:55 pm

For the Saifullah’s politics is business and business is politics. They have equally participated in military dictatorships and civilian governments. It is a matter of what suits them at that particular moment in time. Their mother Kulsoom Saifullah was and perhaps still is very active socially. She has groomed and placed her sons well.

They are related to a number of influential families by cross-marriages. Their two maternal uncles - Yousuf Khattak and Aslam Khattak - were active in politics for many years. Anwar Saifullah, who was petroleum minister in BB’s cabinet, is the son-in-law of the former president Ghulam Ishaq Khan. Dr Iqbal Saifullah is son-in-law of Gohar Ayub Khan. Anwar’s daughter is also married to Gohar Ayub’s son…..and so on

In other words it is all in the family.

isn’t ameer haider hoti the son of corrupt-e-zamana azam hoti; a close relative of wali khan.another dark example of dynasty politics .

  13. shimatoree on March 1st, 2008 2:51 pm

It is strange that HOTI’s son has been named the CM in Frontier but give credit to PPP for that one.
ANP wanted Bashir Bilour to be CM but in order to get the support of PPP - they could not agree to one of the Bilour brothers since they had killed Qamar Abbas who the leader of PPP in Frontier who had killed one of the bilour boys. PPP was not ready to accept any of the Bilour under any case so ANP chose one of the most corrupt people in the their part as CM. This should give you some idea as to what comes next.
It is fascinating that they have no problem appointing such a man but have to deal with great COMPLEXITIES of restoration of the JUDICIARY so ONE MAN can stay in power to satisfy the Americans and their lackey the Arabs of the Gulf . Now will the people of Pakistan stand up alongwith the lawyers and continue to persue Paksitan’s Agenda or was this election really RIGGED.

  14. Ali on March 1st, 2008 3:10 pm

100% agree that this new guy will be another corrupt addition in our political class but Who is not corrupt?
Bilour? If not ahead of Mr. Hoti, He is definetly not behind him in corruption. A corrupt and morally distorted person. He owns couple of theaters (cinema) in the area and if you want to watch something failing west…..you will find there. ppl go there not to watch a movie but the scienes shown between the movie.
    Just wondering!
Isn’t it getting so hard find at least a reasonable person to lead our people?

  15. steel magnolia on March 1st, 2008 3:27 pm

it is a known fact that bilours aquired their wealth through these cinemas.how did they get anp’s membership in the first place?aren’t pukhtoons strictly against all this baisharmi .

Good informative session by Nusrat Javaid and Mushtaq Minhaas.

What kind of reconciliation PPP want?

I would say that if PPP let Bilour become CM then it would have been a good gesture from leading party towards resolving all such issues between representatives of the two sides…..

ANP and Mr. Bashir Bilour have shown big heart by not making this a show stopper.

Anyways, pray that all moves taken are for betterment in strength of fedration and folks of Pakistan.

  18. mypkpoliticsaccount on March 1st, 2008 6:23 pm

    @steel magnolia

Thats would have been funny if that was done by our own people. Why the hell others making fun of our people.

I hope Zardari get to see these sort of parodies himself and then make moves for the future of Pakistan …. I mean should only care for Pakistan and its people interest — ‘which is not anti-west anyways as its projected by west to its people to get favor on implementing war policies against other countries’

  19. Yusufzai on March 2nd, 2008 12:10 am

I believe its not pre Multi Private news channels era that politicians would dare to indulge themselves in corruption. And for my mates who recon that AMEER HAIDER KHAN HOTI would follow his father’s footprints, I would just say that its NOT the ANP under the command of Begum Nasim and her corrupt comrades like Farid Toofan. I believe Asfandyar Khan is a very mature politician and he knows he and his party have a great deal of problems to take care of.

  20. JAZZEE on March 2nd, 2008 5:51 pm

SUGGESTIONS: MEDIA MUST TRY TO INTRODUCE SUCH PROGRAMMES IN WHICH THEY TAKE SUGGESTIONS FROM GENERAL PUBLIC,S AWARENESS OF THE MATTER.INFRSTRUCTURE OF ALL POLITICAL PARTIES MUST NOT BASED ON THEIR OWN FAMILY AND RELATIONS,AND MUST NOT BE SEEN POLOTICS AS A BUISNESS
OF THEIR FAMLIES.RATHER PERSONS WITH ABILITIES ,PRESENTATION,INTELIGENCE AND GRACE TO CONVINCE IN HOME AND ABROAD.;iNSTITUTIONS ARE GONE ROTTON IN OUR COUNTRY,NEED TO BE READDRESSED. STRONG AND INDEPENDENT INSTITUTIONS ARE THE BACK BONE OF A COUNTRY, WE HAVE TOTALY DISTROYED THEM. POLICE,JUDICIARY,TAX, NEED TO BE REMODALE ACCORDING TO ,OUR NEW SITUATION.: ONE CAN COUNTRIBUTE LOTS OF EXPIREANCE IN THESE FIELDS. SINCE LOTS OF US COUNTRIBUTING OUR SKILL AND KNOWLEDGE IN DIFFRENT COUNTRIES. CRIME AND VOILANCE CAN BE CONTROLLED ,IDEAS CAN BE INJECTED, THE MOMENT WE FORM A PLATFOME WHERE EVERY ONE CAN SUGGEST OR CONVEY HIS OR HER OPINION. THANKS

  21. Tab'an Khamosh on March 2nd, 2008 6:33 pm

that cbc clip is retarted. they haven’t bothered to outline any of the looting done by the last dictatorship, but they have all the information on every rumour about Asif Zardari (or anyone representing the democratic forces however flawed).

CBC and BBC etc have also been criminally silent about the judiciary issue and at least BBC started giving it more coverage after they recieved severe backlash from the listeners.

  22. Tab'an Khamosh on March 2nd, 2008 6:36 pm

This feudalism hold on the country has to be broken, but the sad fact is that the only population centers who would be capable of this have been taken over by fascist pro-establishment elements …

Look at Hina Rabbani Khar.. she was the most loyal of the Q chamchee’s and now she went with PPP … All these people have only one objective, to stay with the party in power mainly for personal power and influence in their areas.

  23. power2rule on March 4th, 2008 6:32 pm
