LAHORE: Several lawyers on Tuesday said that if the sacked judges were restored by the newly elected Parliament, without President Pervez Musharraf’s approval, the act would further destabilise the country, which it is not in a position to bear.
Advocate Fawwad Chaudhry said if Parliament was to restore the judges, it should take the president into confidence. He said if the judges were restored without the president’s approval, he could file references in the Supreme Judicial Council against them under Article 209 of the Constitution and send them on a leave.
I would like to ask Fawwad Chaudhry- who is paying you issue this statement ?

remember Ifikhar Chaudhar Chief Justice of Pubjab High court who has been retired on 31 December 2007.
and u also remember people/laywer celebrated his retirement as he is the main culprit in Currnty judicially, he actaully bargain the case rather go for the justice,
this Fawad Chaudhary is his relative and used to play key roll in bargaining, he is who acted as bridge between the “seeker” of justice and Mr. CJ Itikhar Hussain Lahore High Court,
so this is he no need to give him any importance,
I think all the people working in/for esteblishment should be charged under treason. They are responsible for destabilizng the country from the time of independence. They are not loyal to this country. Lawyers should have one onjective after the restoration of Judges and that is to identify the people in esteblishment and each one should be tried in the open court. Well have a big mess and that should be cleaned.

There have been quite a few TV shows and articles regarding the legal matters of the restoration of Judiciary. They all presented one point of view. The purpose of this post was to give a chance to the visitors to weigh the other point of view.
Most visitors of this site are pretty educated to filter out what is right and what is wrong. As matter of fact, propaganda articles or fallacious news are milled to death as soon as they appear on this site. Apart from “Better Pakistan” and occasional annoucements, this site does not produce its own contents.
Fawad is Son of Ex-CJ LHC Chaudhry Iftikhar Hussain, the biggest opponent CJ Supreme Court Iftikhar Mohammed Chaudhry.
The Ex-CJ LHC Iftikhar Hussain also happens to be the brother of PMLQ’s Minister Chaudhry Shahbaz Hussain, who is the biggest Ghunda of Jehlam.
Both Hussains are die hard opponents of CJ Supreme Court and are invovled in massive violence in their area. On 5th May when CJ was going from Islamabad to Lahore, they opened fire and killed 2 PMLN workers.
On 18th February during polling, 8 opponents were killed in his constituency.
Well in that case the choice is pretty clear, isn’t it? Musharraf should go the instant judges are restored. No two opinions about it
A 22 Grade “officer” can NOT impose emergency while there is a sitting parliament, a sitting senate and a PM and cabinet! Especially when that same officer happens to be president.
This was a Coup D’etat against the Republic and it was null and void the instant the 7 member bench of the Supreme court gave their unanimous decision. Just as a robbery is null and void and criminal the moment it happens .. there are NO “facts on the grounds” to consider.
The only facts are that treason was committed, high military and civilian officers were accomplices and accessories of Defendant Pervez Musharraf in this heinous act of High Treason against the state of Pakistan, and all those, including the Triple One brigade, the judges and the ranking generals of the army must be punished for their part in this aggression their own nation.

In my opinion there is NO other way other than to restore the judiciary. We cannot afford to have any military leader to interfere in PAK politics. We HAVE to set an example to avoid future misadventure, and that requires a hard (and difficult) stance with ZERO tolerance towards anything which resembles military interference in civilian affairs. Take the bull by the horns and get rid of this menace once and for all and DON’T look at these planted stories by Mush lovers.
I also support removal cantonments (far) outside cities (somebody suggested this in another thread) for several reasons. The first reason is obvious. It is not suitable to have armed (and intimidating) soldiers in any town. For the time being ordinary citizens are facing deadly attacks along with ordinary soldiers. The soldiers cannot control the area effectively when it is so close to civilians. Bad idea to have weapons depots so close to civilians. Bad idea if an enemy should make an air attack. Civilian casualties could be (too) high etc.

To BENEFIT HIS PERSONAL MEDIA EMPIRE, he has decided that there would be no duty on importing studio equipment and has also given private channel studios etc Industry status, giving them interest free loans and many other concessions. These incentives should have been given to FILM industry that is in trouble.
Salman Taseer is owner of Business plus Channel, he owns Daily Times, World call and Mush has allowed him to build only 7* hotel in Pakistan with a loan of 300 million US dollars. He has many business interests associated with the army.
What else can we expect from such person?

Salman Taseer went for the MNA elections in the 90s on PPP ticket. His flagship company First Capital in 90s lost control over its operations, the stock dealers ran up massive trading exposure for clients on the stock market. The stock market collapsed and the clients lost money or were wipped out.
Since then with the financial assistance of his “Aarab Investor” worldcall was setup. Selling wireless local loop services and cable television on his fiber optic cable moslty in Lahore the company has not gone anywhere. So the threat of Tariq Malik company products and services scares him massively. Recently a foreign private equity firm invested US$ 25 million in Worldcall. What are the terms of performance no one knows but it may be possible that due to non performance Worldcall may be taken over by them leaving Salman Taseer with nothing.

In a programme Salman taseer said to jasmeen manzoor that PML-N stands no chance of even coming into double figure in National assembly coz they dont have credible candidates. I would luv to hear him on this now!!!!!!!

PPP, PML-N ‘poles apart’ on judges issue
…“We are poles apart. The PML-N just wants that all existing judges should be sent home and those deposed on Nov 3 should be reinstated,” said a PPP leader who attended talks between the two sides.
…“Nothing is common (between the two sides) and nothing is likely to be common,” said the source, indicating that the two sides would continue their deliberations in an attempt to find some common ground for cooperation.
…A PPP leader said that President Musharraf was under no obligation to seek a confidence vote from the new parliament.

Asif cleared in five corruption cases
RAWALPINDI, March 5: Two accountability courts dismissed five corruption cases against PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari here on Wednesday, clearing the way for him to hold government office.
Last week, the Supreme Court had lifted a stay order against the National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRC), opening the way for Wednesday’s ruling.
The NRO gives amnesty to all those who had been in office between 1986 and 1999….

Accountability Court 2 Judge Chaudhry Muhammad Younas, acceding to the acquittal plea of the PPP leader, dismissed the ARY Gold and the SGS cases against Mr Zardari and other accused.
In the ARY Gold case other public office holders were Salman Tariq, Talat Javaid and Aslam Hayat Qureshi.
The owner of the ARY group, Haji Abdur Rehman, and his brothers were the co-accused, but the case against them was not dismissed as they never held public office.
…Accountability Court 4 Judge Khalid Mehmood dismissed five cases in total — three against Mr Zardari and two against former FIA chief Rehman Malik….The judge also dropped two misappropriation cases against Mr Rehman Malik. The court ordered the attached properties of both Mr Zardari and Mr Reman to be detached. The properties include three cars, a polo ground and some sugar mills.
Hearing in two other cases – the BMW and Cotecna — was adjourned till March 12 as the relevant judge was on leave.
“Allah has differentiated truth from lies and justice has been done,” Mr Zardari’s lawyer, Farooq Naik, said after Wednesday’s court ruling in the city of Rawalpindi.
Right! All Allah was waiting for was some PCO judges to to separate truth from lies…

The other guy in the report is Khurram Latif Khosa, son of PPP senator Latif Khosa whose support for PCO judges is well known and who is the leader of get rid of CJ brigade in PPP along with Babar Awan.
