Disband regular police force and introduce community policing similar to sheriff for the counties responsible to local authorities. It will not only improve efficiency but will also reduce drastically misuse of police by the federal and provincial governments

independence of judiciary, increase police salaries to make it attractive for the most talented people, start recruiting the best educated people on merit to overhaul this system in the long run. These people will find solutions to the law and order problems in our country.
The economic success will follow a stable law and order situation as we will be in the richest neighbourhood in the world with China, India and Middle Eastern Countries as our neghbours. The trade and wealth will trickle down to other countries which are in a position to take advantage of the situation.

Anyone who commits a act against law and order commits a crime against society. If that person is not caught seriously, tried seriously and punished seriously, an example cannot be made.

One solution to improve law and order situation may be to introduce a National Re-conciliation ordinance for all the people of Pakistan. The murderers, rapists, burglars, money launderers, and all the other social parasites. Lift our hands to the heavens and pray that “Oh Allah, we’ve done this in the national interest, please make this chance we’ve given them count.”

I have serious doubts about the intentions of PPP as far as the restoration of the Judiciary is concerned.

First of all we need to strengthen the judicial system. yes power of police has to be taken care of but it will not impact much if we make the law supreme. Parliament should be supreme but not above law

Public punishment of offenders. An indigenous body in all the provinces to monitor the performance of the police and law enforcement agencies.Who better than ISI.For GOD sake if they can control some corrupt polititians they can easily control some dodgy policemen.

We need to reform our police force, I’ll start with :- 1. Make police independent of governments . A Minister / MP should not be able to Order Police to take actions on his wish / Command. Police force should be free of all interference in regards to ,(a). fulfiling its duties.( b). Its work force should be granted job security , ie , transfers, promotions,etc. should be on merit and should not be influenced by rulers / politicians or any body else. 2. A permanent Judicial Commission to oversee accountability with powers to dismiss / sack police man / officers. An ordinary citizen’s complain should be seriosly taken / acted upon. This process should be Transparent / open to public to inspect. 3. Selection criteria , training , education should reflect public expectations . A good pass in HSC & 25yrs age should be min. Continued training incl forensics should be compulsory for investigation officers. 4. A good wage and work close to home are essential for a happy and satisfied police force.

as a member said we need to reform our POLICE FORCE, yes i have some suggestions:

1. removing of our present police force
2. make a uniforme police but only for petroling on roads and controlling traffic, same police can control traffic and petrolling. this police must linked with 15 rescue and in case of emergency they should go for rescue. so with this we can save money

3. making a regular investigating police with out uniform fully equiped with good labotries and expets. all other present police investigating forces must be removed( FIA, CID )and others investigation agencies which aree opreating sepratly must be abolished and experts will work in the new investigating police agency and i have a name for it . It can be named CID also.

4. a IB(inteligence bureau) based with out uniform police our present IB must given more power, they must be doing petroling on roads and they must not be recognizeable from cicil people. this force will arrest those peopel who are suspects.

5. All IG’s must be appointed by PM or government but no body should be allowed to disturbs these IG’s and these IG’s will appoint SHO’s SP’s, DSP’s and all . Police must be a institution like army PM has power to appoint services chiefs but not any other LT OR COL. so there should be a same system for police.

6. Computerization of POLICE, all police stations must be linked with each other and it must be on country wide not province wide.

7. CIVIL DEFENCE must be given to FEDRATION not to provinces and only fedration can control POLICE, and all POLICE force must answerable to fed. interior ministry and PM not to PROV HOME DEP.

first of these proposals are wrong (high salaries,talented etc) when the poeple are ethically at a very lowest standards the all these dont matter.
second thing is the street power is wrongly utilized either in case of political party or religious political party .the majorty of all party workers are unemployed and are paid for what tont want .
the leaders advicxe them to be tolerate and themself enjoy all luxuries.
so they and we r their actual power and usually provide them our unanimous support and never ask for gurantee and accountibility.
they get our support on perfect issue but never worked in that practically.so that people are continuosly dividing themselves.

We need to have rule of LAW in our beloved country, why our culture is changed to WORST, because we see NO respect of law from top of the butchers of Pakistan, and than every one as per his/her capacity doing the same to feel self-pride. Need to change the culture from these LEECHES !!! question is, are we ready for this change ?
