We cannot have a civilized society with checks and balances without independent judiciary. The way people voted in elections has proved that restoration of judiciary is extremely important for them. As for personal vendetta, if some thief enters your house, robs you on gun point and beats you up, then trying to evict him is not personal vendetta, it is an absolute must !! So apparently Benazir wanted MQM to be part of the National Government - thats a new one. And the biggest point raised here - what happens after the judges scenario is over? Are pakistans problems solved? The real issue faced by the common man is not the troubles of the legal fraternity, but economic ones. I look forward to Mr. Gillani addressing the issues concerning the poor, and removing all corruption from the upper echelons.
