    “pls add W b4 hole”

    Nazim, You don’t have to make correction as I think whole without “W” is better. It reflects MQM leadership better. In fact, I would suggest that instead of “W” add “a##” before “hole”,

    Good and perspective article on the MQM scenario.

    Excerpts from the article:

    “I asked a veteran anti-PPP Sindhi leader as to who delivered MQM to Zardari, his spontaneous response was:”General Musharraf’. Zardari’s motives to woo the MQM were obvious: first, to prevent a nexus with Fahim and secondly to buy peace in Karachi and other cities. It makes an eminent sense that political forces representing rural and urban Sindh must coalesce to end years of hatred and ethnic prejudices. This policy was adopted by Benazir in 1988 when she co-opted MQM in the coalition at the centre and in Sindh. But the MQM proved a Trojan Horse and stabbed her within 9 months by supporting the no-confidence motion at the behest of Ishaq and army chief.“

    Trojan Horses: That is exactly what I have been labelling these fifth column terrorists. Don’t expect anything else than opportunistic thinking from this entity. They will only look after their self interests and never look at the greater national interest or even the interest of poor KHI citizens. And yes, they will keep on playing victims while they intimidate and murder innocent civilians. My pledge to Mr. Shoaib Suddle is that he should provide justice to everyone – also the Trojan Horses/Fifth column/terrorists.

    We are only humans and commit mistakes from time to time as PPPP did back in 1988. If PPPP repeats the mistake from the past, then it will be inexcusable and the People will stop trusting PPPP forever. This is off course he worst case scenario, which I don’t think will happen at least I don’t hope so!

    Excerpts from the article:

    “The much-trumpeted MQM “mandate” has some disturbing features. Before it suffered a serious set back last May by blatantly supporting Musharraf siding with Musharraf against lawyers, the MQM was ambitiously projecting itself as a national party. But May 12 outrage pushed the MQM back to its original narrow-based ethnic and linguistic appeal based on hatred and tainted by violence and coercive tactics. The boycott by Jamaat Islami and Sunni Tehrik left the field wide open for the MQM landslide victory buffeted by state patronage and enormous financial and administrative resources.”

    I give a damn about such a “mandate” based on intimidation, killings and lies. For me it is just like Mush’s “mandate”.
    Shoaib Suddle also has task to reign in other wannabe terrorist groups from other entities (JI etc.). The field should not be wide open, and to ensure that we need to get rid of the gun culture in KHI and the rest of the nation.

    Excerpts from the article:

    “There is strong possibility that the MQM will soon resume its contacts with the PPP and sort out differences. This will, however, be part of the larger strategy of its mentor Musharraf to oust Nawaz Sharif from the coalition.”

    They will exactly be doing that. Someone wrote that the only thing where one can say MQM is trustworthy is about MQM being untrustworthy.
    Play the game with them, but don’t let them out of sight…..MQM goons are just waiting for the right moment to back stab PPPP and the nation.

    I think I called them a trojan horse 2 months ago.. thankeee verra much!

    MQM and Musharraf are working on ethnic bonds now. If Punjabi’s are TOO STUPID, then that’s their problem. MQM seems to be working towards establishing a new state. And Musharraf may indeed end up being the”gorbachev” that someone called him (before promptly jumping into the lap of the ver same!)

    @TK

    I don’t think a Punjabi or any brother/sister from the other provinces will fall into this cheap “trap”. In fact it is not a trap any longer - it is worn out mantra of MQM. People are sick of hearing their repeated use of this ridiculous claim.

    What about calling them “Fifth column”……Am I the first to do that ;-)

    @Saqib: I agree that most ppl in the other provinces (and even in Karachi to be honest) don’t fall for this stuff but keep in mind.. MQM has been trying to “go national/mainstream” in the last few years, but it seems they have used the same template for party growth that they think “works”.

    Some people say, to get the gist of the evolution of humans and other animals, one needs to look at the fetal/embryo development.

    MQM started with the core of violent indoctrinated kernels in major cities of Pakistan who mainly appeal to the right wing, superficially Islamic Urdu speaking minorities.

    It is these cadre of people that they activated on Dec 27.. and it is exactly these people they are activating now in Lahore and Multan. The remnants of the officers loyal to moshe are working with these MQM shock-troops to create a “pretext for overthrow” .

    My request to PPP and PML-N would be to move quickly and deliver a swift and fatal dagger to the heart of this setup instead of fighting over crumbs. Because if they tarry, there ain’t gonna be anything left to fight over.

    it would be foolish to think the army can’t take over because it’s just been a few months.. NEVER underestimate the craven subjugation of our proxy civil/military servants. They do not serve us. They serve foreigners.. and if it suits the foreigners to have a coup in 3 months.. they’ll have their coup in 3 months unless there is resistance on all fronts.

    We need to change the curriculum in all higher learning institutes especially in Army and Civil Service. These people need to understand which nation they belong to, and whose interests they are supposed to protect.

    All their anti-establishment, anti-feudal slogans are nothing but bull, since their creation, they been nothing but pawn’s to G[unda]HQ. Naseer-ulAllah Babar pointed it out in 14th April’s “Meray Mutabiq”. How could you trust Mr. Baig, he was the one who let the ChooranWali sakar to flee. Their rise and fall is just associated with Gunda’s support.

    On the other hand I think Zardari is way too smart to handle, till now he has out classed everyone till now. His strategy seems to keep everyone confused, What we all know he is not pu$$y and has Wadera mentality. I’m 100% sure he will take BB’s revenge. I seriously wish county should not suffer during this .
    Another player is joining this game as well.

    MQM is real back-stabber.. Beaware Zardari, they are not loyal to their own fathers how come the become your allies ? Cant figure it out:(

  10. baig_lahori on April 18th, 2008 3:11 pm

    @TK
    I disagree with your statement that they are working on ethnic bonds now. That’s a pretty stupid statement to give. However I think the MQM wants him there because they probably feel that if anyone else comes to the presidency then no one will protect them and there may be an operation against them.

    I agree with some of the comments above about Zardari. He is a smart man, by the time he is done playing his game, everyone including NS, lawyers,MQM,PMLQ, commando pres, and everyone else will be running around like headless chicke without a clue as to what happened.

    @baig_lahori
    I doubt that Zardari is that smart but I have been wrong in the past.

    MQM backs Fazl on judges

    Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain said that Rehman’s formula was just and in accordance with Islam, the law, Constitution and justice.
