I think this is the episode I saw on geo today. It has Fozia Whahhaab in it.

There are times when Hamid Meer annoys me but there are times when you can kiss him. Who needs an enemy when you have party members like FW.

She totally blabbed PPPP’s stance that they weren’t even whispering, although Hamid Meer should have not gone for a break so quickly.

Credit to Hamid Meer for manipulating the situation although, it was never that difficult in the first place. I can firmly declare that FW will not be appearing on national TV in the near future. Not unless PP wants to shoot itself in the foot.

The most hilarious Capital Show ever!!!!

It would have taken me a PHD thesis to convince people that women should not sit in government just because of their gender and still I would have had difficulty convincing but FW has helped the cause. I’m not against women like FW as long as they’re in PPPP. Neither am I against feminine representation in government, I’m just against the gender based advantage through fixed seats.

Hillary was asked when on visit to Pakistan, will there ever be an American Woman President. She said not until there are men to do the job.

UK parliament was criticised for not having enough female representation on BBC. An n MP defended bay saying that women don’t just get a seat because they are women, they have to go through the same test of merit as the men. i.e. political campaign etc.

However it is something to boast for some that we are even more democratic than UK and USA because we have more women in the assembly. I say let’s just have women, no men at all. I’m sure there will be less corruption if our assembly was women only.

When was the last time army conceded on an issue??

when a person grows larger than life ,when he is a potential threat to army’s rule in our country he is either murdered or sidelined.

    its all about army folks.

open your eyes ….we’ve always been nive enough to debate on politicians.Politicians are nothing but a cover up for army
forget zardari even if mush has change of heart over night he can’t restor CJ with full powers …bc army doesnt want it ….and y army doesnt want it bc 1-CJ has become too big ,2-Army’s boss US doesnt want it

AZ put PPP leadership in a very odd position, they are baffling when they are asked to explain why they are not restoring judges.

in same breath they want to take the credit of lawyers movement, election, civilian govt but along with it they also try justify the status quo.

Fauzia Wahab was a mess. Apparently she knew what she had said and was clearly ashamed of it. Can this be a planned “leakage”?

It is hard to believe that anybody can be so stupid unless there is a plan. Anyhow this heinous plan will back fire, inshallah!

  8. m5433d on May 1st, 2008 8:15 am

this was not planned addmission. This was the real deal this is what PPPP consists of. If it was a planned deal, it would have been managed properly by some one like sherry who would have slipped it under the lines with many twists and turns, These pliticians are not rocket scientist.

Why cant one say what he or she feels like? Yes, the lady may have been ashamed because she may have said something which no one wants to hear. It takes guts to say things which is against a general opinion, but this is supposed to be the beauty of democracy, isnt it?

  13. Kruman on May 1st, 2008 11:32 am

What ZIa and Mush could not do has been done by Bhutto’s son-in law. How ironic!

Coming out of the hotel where NS and AZ were holding their talk, I saw an epitaph labelled, “Here Lies PPP - 1970 - 2008″.

  14. captain_jack_sparrow on May 1st, 2008 11:36 am

Would any CHOR PARTY(PPP) wish to have a judge or Judiciary who is free and run the court independently. NEVER.

True Face of PPP: Watch 1400-1500 and 26:00-2800 !

Every 1 has right for his/her own opinion. Atleaset Fawzia Wahab does not do the SPIIN like other PPP leaders……………….

  19. m5433d on May 1st, 2008 3:39 pm

    @all the friends in sympathy

she was ashamed because it was a shameful thing to say, because it is a shamefull stance that PP has chosen. It was also because of lack of good judgement not because of honesty, that is why she coverd her face out of embarrasement.

    @aliwahab

………..Why cant one say what he or she feels like? Yes, the lady may have been ashamed because she may have said something which no one wants to hear……???

Yes that is right nobody no one in Pakistan wants to hear that CJ Iftikhar should not be restored. This is why PPPP should respect public opinion if it is a truely democratic party. But PP gas been exposed by FW

I am thankfull to her that she has spilled the beans to the nation.

theres no need to get emotional over her honesty here because if she did it out of moral correctness and out of honesty, she would have not felt the need to feel ashamed. She would have taken an unequivocal stance rather than back tracking.

  20. Riddle 792 on May 1st, 2008 4:10 pm

Some would argue that she should respect Public’s opinion. I agree that there should be respect on both sides. Though it is no hidden that the majority of Urban population wants the Judges to be restored but at the same time a person living in inner Sindh or South Punjab or Deep down in Balochistan or Wazirastan is much worried about basic needs and the leaders should think about it too.

Judges should be restored.. no question about it. As though they once took Oath under PCO but since they are showing a sign of strength therefore in a better spirit we should forgive their old mistakes and restore them. But its a valid talking point that “what is the guarantee that this Judiciary will be a Crystal Clear Judiciary”… answer is that no……. When a judge said that “when 160 million people dont stand against the dictator then how can you blame a judge bearley making 20K/25K rupees per month for not standing against the dictator.

The only reason that Iftikhar Ch. is BIG today is because his friends supported him, Lawyers supported him, Civil Society supported him, Human Right Activist supported him and some Political Workers supported him.

If WE had supported any Judge long time ago, this mess would not have happened…. WE AS A NATION IS TO BE BLAMED….. and nation includes every one who is Pakistani …and who may have a Total Opposite Opinion than U because that is what TRUE DEMOCRACY IS….

    ***adios***

that was really funny program….light and different. and fozia wohaab just got cornered, i dont think she wanted to say what she said in the end. hamid mir was too good for her.

i think PPP should over throw zard aari and get new guy in. not new some old loyal real Pippliyaa. like khaar what u guys say about that.

  24. Paf123 on May 1st, 2008 7:17 pm

    @ captain_jack_sparrow

In view of the scolding Zardari is getting from the usuals on this forum and the recent statement by NS where he has praised AZ to conduct the negotitiation in a positve matter (see jang online addition) how about if we say that NS is playing the part of Maluna Fazal Rehman during Q leage/Mush time (on one hand criticize mush…on the other hand stay in power..one one had criticize fauji operation…on the other had be part of it by staying in the power)…..I have a new name of NS or a future name:

Maulana Nawaz ur Rehman (;-)))….am sure Mutwallah’s and Piyalas are ready to pounce on me for this….come on guys!!! don’t stop….

On a serious note, I think NS knows very well that he can’t afford to leave the government at this stage….my prediction they will restore the judges and both the resolution and package will be tabled together and the resolution will be passed by the NA first and will be done sooner than later…but the actual restoration or implementation will be done after passing of the constitutional amendment…….

I have a question for NS supporters… if PPP totaly backed down on their committment then why NS and SS stayed in Dubai for 3 days to resolve this issue…they could have easily scored big by announcing resignation….worst case scenario they would have to sit in the opposition…..big deal sit there and let PPP dorwn itself by working with Q league ……..they did not do it……..I have my opion which is to consolidate power with anti-establishment forces e.g. PPP…..pls. give me your thoughts on my facts not on my opinion….

  25. Paf123 on May 1st, 2008 11:00 pm

News: Imran challanges Zardari to contest against him NA 55…I hope and wish this happens….so this lose self proclaimed tiger is tamed once for all…….leader of Tanga party challenging leader of one of the biggest party in Pakistan…IK must be high when he was saying this…or may be with a gori…he has a reputation of losing mind while he is with goris…..wonder which is the case…either way “no votes big mouth”….

  26. Media Maven on May 1st, 2008 11:14 pm

    Where is NA-55?

  27. Safdar Chaudhry on May 2nd, 2008 1:46 am

  28. God that failed on May 2nd, 2008 2:14 am

PPP leadership simply sucks!! I have always hated Bhutto family from the start and now I’m starting to hate them even more…self-interest based party which is not willing to restore the judiciary only because their chairman is a money looter and a murderer and is now hiding in Dubai like a bloody coward!

  29. geniusyasee on May 2nd, 2008 11:03 am

Asif Ali zardari has promissed something as quid pro quo For Mushraf , because mushraf gave him NRO(National Retardant Ordinance) . I dont See any solution from politicians for the people fo Pakistan.Only one solution will bring prosperity the solution of implementing ISLAM( we should learn and preach it) otherwise,,, taste Azab e Elahi, in different shapes, like drought, food, electricity,,, we should learn these systems and compare them, i mean (Capitalisim, Communism, Islam),,,

    @Riddle 792

Dear Friend, I agree with you partly but with your permission I’d like to give a different opinion on your comment quoted below.

………………….a person living in inner Sindh or South Punjab or Deep down in Baluchistan or Waziristan is much worried about basic needs and the leaders should think about it too……………

The problems these people are facing today are severe than ever but not new. Also, as there is very limited high yield gross agriculture in Pakistan, the economy and the future of the rural area is greatly dependent on the urban industrial areas. (I’m a villager)

Furthermore, the urban residents are facing a greater crisis in a way because their life style is more dependent on electricity and such. So really, it is a matter of political maturity, which is greater where education levels are higher, regardless of urbanisation. Those who are politically mature see judiciary as the vital cog that can fix the system. Although I would have agreed with you if you had said that the politicians need to hurry up because people are fed up waiting and the delay on judiciary is delaying resolution of other issues such electricity etc.

Finally, the point is, none of issues that are affecting the whole of Pakistan right now can be dealt with unless judiciary is restored,

there is news of the senate members trying to harass a civil servant who has highlighted fraud of 4 kharab ( billion??) in the Pakistan Estates Dept in the Daily Jang (Fri,1st May 2008)

You will not be able to solve the problems of the rural Pakistanis and urban alike unless there is justice.

My opinion on your comment:……………..The only reason that Iftikhar Ch. is BIG today is because his friends supported him, Lawyers supported him, Civil Society supported him, Human Right Activist supported him and some Political Workers supported him………….

    is:

If your trying to say CJ Chouhdry has no public support then why did it take 24 hours to reach Lahore from Islamabad and who were those people that came and sat on the road sides while Musharraf was as strong as ever?

Also CJ Iftikhar is different from other CJ’s because his defiance (laal masjid, missing people, mush candidature, refusal to resign) is like no other judge. All the others went quietly and did not put up a fight. Also this is the only time in the 60 years that 60 judges have stood with CJ.

  31. m5433d on May 2nd, 2008 2:29 pm

    NA-55 should be Rawalpindi

  33. Media Maven on May 3rd, 2008 5:25 pm

Why’d he challenge ASIF Zardari in Rawalpindi? Any special reason beside a Neutral Venue?
