not so good show
my favorite quote from movie lawrence of arabia
General Allenby: I thought I was a hard man.
Prince Feisal: You are merely a general. I must be a king.
In its other version “king of Pakistan” it could go something like that
General(R) Musharraf: I thought I was a hard man.
King Zardari: You are merely a general. I must be a king.
a great show………..good to see how the politician change their point of view.
hamain yaad rakhna chahiya ka past main kia kaha giya
NS must immly sideline his party from the coalition in the interest of this nation. People who are now taking U TURN are following the same policy as adopted by The Great President on countless occassions. People with conviction and integrity in PPP have already sidelined themselves from the main streamline. We don’t see them nowadays.
It would have been a great show if talat would have invited all the person which he showed in the clippings.
It would have been a great opportunity to see how they justify their U-TURN.

President agrees on undoing 58 (2)B
Maqbool Malik
ISLAMABAD - Legal aides of President Pervez Musharraf are giving final touches to a bill to indemnify November-3 actions by taking all political players in the parliament on board, well-placed sources told TheNation on Thursday.
Sources maintained that Syed Sharifuddin Pirzada and others were busy giving final touches to the draft expected to be put before the National Assembly during the current month.
Apart from political parties in the parliament, some foreign powers including the USA, UK and Saudi Arabia are also said to have been taken into confidence to promote national reconciliation plan to help stabilize the parliamentary democracy in the country.
Sources said that PML (N), which was initially reluctant to give clean chit to President Musharraf, has also agreed to support the proposed bill with the condition that the deposed judges be reinstated first.
According to sources, the bill has been drafted in consultation with Law and Justice Minister and Attorney General Malik Abdul Qayyum.
Sources also claimed that the bill would be part of the comprehensive constitutional package that PPP Co-Chairperson Asif Ali Zardari had discussed with PML(N) Leadership in Dubai.
Sources said that apart from PPP and PML (N), other parliamentary parties including PML (Q), MQM, ANP, JUI (F) and PML (F) have already been taken on board on the proposed bill.
In return, according to the sources President has agreed to the PPP plan to do away with Article 58 (2) B that empowers President to dissolve the National Assembly. http://www.nation.com.pk/daily/may-2008/2/index2.php
@aahmad
Can anything come good out of a bill with ‘experts’ like Syed Sharif uddin Pirzada or Malik Qayyum working on it???We are yet to see onslaughts of Babar Awan and Farooq Nayek as budding manipulators of Sacred Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan!!!!!
Interest of Nation, what is it? So many id–ts have tried to define it in past 60 years using their personal view of the world. The result had been that military had prevailed and will of people have been clearly run-over by the power of bullet.
Can we be a civilized nation at least to have the debate to define our interest ? I guess not as we are not interested in committing ourselves to one basic principle that irrespective of religion, ethnicity, social-status, economic-status, and any other factor, we all are equal Pakistanis. No one can infringe upon unalienable rights of life, liberty, and pursuit of his dreams of any individual . This is even true and sacred principle when our honor, politics, and religions is under threat. No one has the right to infringe upon these rights of others for any reason including religion. If this is the national interest only then we can move towards rule of law and supremacy of elected parliament.
you(pkpolitics) suck as you have started evolving into a business entity by restricting the access to these programs to premium members only. Even a program older than one week asks for a premier membership. You really suck.
We don’t accept the president but Govt/ cabinet has working relationship with him because Party and Govt are separate. Stated by Mr Zardari in an interview and in this programme Mr Israr Shah repeated it. Supports and Voters of PPP should be aware, if u vote for PPP and your party would not fulfill their promises, don’t ask him because Party and Govt are separate. What a joke! PPP representatives understand that everyone is fool except them but its not reality. That was old Pakistan but not today’s Pakistan.
This is for all political parties especially Pakistan President Party (PPP)’s great Leaders who believe in Democracy and making fool the people that being a nation we have short memory but it is short not lost. Don’t play with the nation and your partners. U believes in dialogues. Good spirit but why dialogues between u and president are being kept confidential? Why u prefers always a back door for dialogue or deal if you are champion of Democracy?
