Baloch Leader Akhtar Mengal Released

Karachi - The new government in Pakistan has released from prison a nationalist leader from the province of Balochistan, Akthar Mengal. Mr Mengal has been in prison for the past two years. The move is seen as a gesture for peace towards a province that has been wracked by an armed insurgency for the past four years.

    i am from sialkot pakistan and come from a family who is always in love with PPP but cauz of their current politics and their bonding with america n mush i have started to hate them.

    But i certainly believe this is a good step and will be critical to bring our baloch brothers back from mountains to center so they can also play important role in the development of balochistan and indeed pakistan.

    Pakistan zindabad.

    @establishment:

    couple other things that might bring our Baloch brethren back from the brink:

    1. Common decency and respect for their point of view
    2. A fair share of the wealth that Pakistan especially Punjab and KHI/HYD have been mooching off for free without any accountability or accounting.
    3. Stop running the province by force (gov. raj) just so we (Punjabi/Muhajir) can get away with the theft of the resources of the province.

    First thing is that we need to get the FoGTARDS in the military to start doing their goddamned jobs instead of trying to run the state. If we wanted them to run the state, we’d a hired them in the civil service.. not trained them with guns at our expense.

    Mr. Drabar and his “darbari’s” Anyone’s listening? You shameless mercenaries for foreign powers!

    @TK

    Add couple of more points in your list which these baloach tribes should do

    - Stop this so called BLA and their connection with KHAD and RAW and stop getting weapons from them.
    - Stop brain washing young baloch against Pakistan state and asking them to strive against liberation of Baloachistan.

    @Hardliner

    My first reflex reaction when I first learned about the existence of BLA was the same. I didn’t know who Bugti was and why he was fighting the government. I called them all Ghaddars and secretly sighed relief when Mushi told them that we’d hit you from up above with missile. But I have learned a lot since then.

    Ever since I looked in detail at the kartoots of our military, I have developed a soft corner for all ethnic-based and nationalist parties. I see their grievances as justified. I have come to realize that they are just rebelling at our hegemony and dominance.

    If the establishment could treat power brokers who are fellow Punjabis (NS, PMLN, Okara Farms, Missing Persons, Lawyers, Journalists) like dirt, imagine what they haven’t done to our Baloch brothers and sisters? Have you read the Hamood-ur-Rehman commission report? It was established WITHOUT A DOUBT that our sher dil army, Pak Foj, had raped thousands upon thousands of Bengali women who were their sisters. I was watching a video (wankfest to Bhutto Barsi) where this woman was saying that the common reaction in Punjab was, “So what? Their race is being improved. At least their kids will be fairer/better looking” Can you imagine this level of inhumanity against your fellow Pakistanis? The fact is: ALL ARMIES RAPE. ALL ARMIES MURDER….ITS THE NATURE OF WAR THAT IS BAD AND WRONG.

    Whenever the army operates anywhere, be ready to hear tales of murder, rapes and pillage. This same phenomenon resulted in the Kashmir insurgency. Only difference was, the Indian Army was HIndu and the population Muslim which made it harder for the Indian Army to curb its excesses.

    I firmly believe that if the Army can be pulled back from Balochistan, if the wealth of Balochistan be shared with the Baloch (they are only like 8 million?), if the military intelligence Farishtays can be reined in, BLA will dissolve. The insurgency will die….I am dead sure that CIA, MOSSAD and RAW are funding them with our Army told to just go on defensive positions. Just to bother Iran about the Greater Balochistan.

    If the politicians take control and the army is pulled back, the Baloch insurgency will die. It has no future. Boxed in from all sides by Sindhis, Pashtuns, Iran and the sea, Baloch insurgency will die…

    So, don’t blame the BLA, Mengal and Bugtis….They have been FORCED to take up arms because of our do-number tinpot jurnails chasing ’strategic depth’ when they couldn’t hold Bengal and Balochistan together.

    It PAINS me to say this, but I have an idea of a “Strategic Depth” in the backside of a jurnail or two that I’d like to create with a swift kick from my boot. And I am Punjabi/Seraiki.

    @mbokhari:

    besides, the word is that BLA is actually a fabrication of the agencis. A Bogey man which they use to dissolve the Balochistan govt every time (even during “civilian” periods) so the center can steal the gas .. they cook the books and pay Balochistan ‘royalty’ on like 1/10th of the sh!t they are taking.

    Balochistan, if free would be a lot richer with foreign masters than it is with brown masters.

    Also, the reason behind the rapes was that the “Maulana-e Deen” the Shams And Badr brigades (Jamat Islami and Biharo-Fascists) were telling Pakistan Army that hese women they ‘captured’ were ‘Maal-e Ghanimat” and therefore it could be done under the guise of the Islamic Law of war.

    True Story.

    Akhtar Mengal was released so that ANP would not withdraw from centre like PMLN.
