The fact that Musharraf sold out Pakistan and it’s sovreignity to the West for peanuts in 2001 and the fact that the people of Pakistan did not rise against him and his cronies shows that what Musharraf did represents the people of Pakistan except for the people of the Frontier who were the only one who showed any form of resistance . It was as though the people of Bengal had supported Mir Jafar as their representative leader and in Mysore the people had supported Mir Sadiq as their leader.
All the Johnny come lately newspapermen and women who are now talking about this despicable and dishonourable episode are merely bleating sheep after the wolf has eaten one or more of their kind.
Pakistan Army has proven the long held belief by some that they do not represent the interests of the country but their own and that they are a vestige of those who joined the British for money to kill their own people. The only differnce now is they have joined the Americans and they have again done it for money and arms.
It reminds me of the people of KUFA in the the 7th century when they did not show up to defend Imam Hussain at Karbala against Yazid and Shimr and by not doing so they helped Yazid and Shimr.
A lot of talk is now being heard about the 160 million Pakistanis and their desire for the rule of Law. Sorry there is perhaps one person who can claim that and he is CJ Iftikhar.
The people of Pakistan (except for the Frontier )- did not rise when their brethren in Afghanistan and the Tribal belt of Pakistan were being slaughtered by the Western Forces. They did not topple the Musharraf regime when he removed CJ Iftikhar. And worst of all they brought to power the corrupt crooks who are in the pay of the West-
Should we expect these same people to do ANYTHING for HONOUR ?
Earlier I was watching Live with Talat wher he took his viewers to the Waziristan agency. Though there was not much of insight I could find in the details of the program. However, our statesman president, Mr Musharraf, has glamourized and sensationalized these areas in such a way that he left us with no backtrack strategy. At the same time, I wonder, how the developed world buy these kind of statements where these areas are projected as next launching pad for any kind of potential attacks on continental US. To me I think this is the biggest farce being played with the simple people of the world in the name of combating terrorism.
The political freedoms, the privacy and other basic human rights that establishes a civilized society are being suppressed. World is at the verge of huge food crises and the rich nations in the world are spending their energies and resources in tackling with the delusional figures that has mesmerised the imaginations of spy networks around the world.
Enough with this drum beating now. Is there somebody with sane mental health can think that these people who are having a life style scarcely above normadic ages, are capable of threatening the world peace? If US couldn’t be threatened in the presence of Soviet Inter Continental Ballisitic Missiles, how these people can do something to such a powerful nation in the world. And I believe 95% wouldn’t be having a passport, and the rest if the do, wouldn’t have a US visa to go there. This is a landlock region and it is equally hard to believe that these people can smuggle weapons to the so called ’sleeper-cells’ abroad.
I can only pray for the world leadership which is increasingly getting void of leadership skills.
I sometimes fear for Hamid Mir life. He’s stepping on toes of powerful establishment. I truely pray that Allah gives him courage to go on and protect him against evil civil/military mafias.

spot on mate,most of the ppl woke up in 2007 but the tribals were fighting against him since 2001
they had been long dealing with jurnails n they know exactly wt language they understand so they started in the very begining.
