@ pak.nukes..
Such ‘ movers & shakers ‘ are not an overnight development, but such people have been providing ‘ satisfactory ‘ personal services, to those in power, since a long time, which is a common knowledge.
A long time back, I happen to be told in vivid details of one of such ‘ glamorous” nights, ( by a PAF officer, who was once serving as an ADC to his then boss, ) & where, according to him, the lady in question was the center-piece. Could it be true ?

againt it shows the bias of the web site owners.
Putting news against PPP but ignoring News of AQ KHAN admitting that he supported Iran and Libiya to get Nukes.

why he shouldnt be handed over the IAEA to be interogated for violating the International law.!
June 5th, 2008 at 6:38 pm
@Awais,
Dr. AQ Khan is a uranium enrichment expert, not a nuke expert. The uranium can be used for energy, medical as well as nuke purpose.
Now, please tell us which International law prohibits transfer of enrichment technology to other countries?
Russia and China have installed complete Nuclear reactors in other countries including Iran and Iraq and there is no law prohibiting that.
Pakistan has NOT signed NPT therefore Pakistan can legally provide enrichment technology to everyone.
June 5th, 2008 at 6:43 pm
rasheed
and Uranium Enrichment is the key stone in the whole process
June 5th, 2008 at 6:47 pm
@Awais,
I was expecting a little bit more sensible answer.
You have to first tell which international law prohibits Pakistan to sell nuclear technology? And why the same law does not prohibit Russia, China, US and other countries to sell the technology?
June 5th, 2008 at 6:49 pm
if you would have read about the UN indentification of the 10 high level threats proliferation of the nukes is one of them
and pakistan Govt didnt said that they dnt come under NPT rule.
what they said is it was the work of a single person and Govt is not involve in it.
June 5th, 2008 at 6:52 pm
Nuclear non proliferative treaty
its prevents pakistan tranffering the techonogy which can be used to make a nuke.
June 5th, 2008 at 6:55 pm
and its against UN and Seciurity councils rules make for IAEA.
June 5th, 2008 at 6:55 pm
@Awais,
You still did not answer my question. What rule prohibits Pakistan to sell Nuclear stuff to Iran while it allows Russia to install Nuclear Reactors and train Iranians to run Nuclear reactors?
Forget about Pakistani government as it was being run by illegal Dictator who has excellent track record of being bullied by everyone.
Regarding NPT, Pakistan is not part of that treaty and it does not apply on Pakistan. Even USA and India has not signed NPT, because it also prohibits NPT members to conduct nuclear tests.
June 5th, 2008 at 6:58 pm

the rule is you can sell nucklear energy for peacful purposes not for military purposes.
its a foundation principle of IAEA
which a UN agenecy formed for formalised the peacful use of Nuclear Energy and to safe us all that one day a Fanatic Like Ghazi Rashid of LAL Masjid {or Ahmedin Najjat} shouldnt get Nukes.
June 5th, 2008 at 6:59 pm

so you people accept that AQ KHAN has tranffered the technology and he hasnt done anything Wrong,
Then why he was pardoned.
what was fuss about.
June 5th, 2008 at 7:02 pm
Read these lines carfully in the mission statement of IAEA
“verifies through its inspection system that States comply with their commitments, under the Non-Proliferation Treaty and other non-proliferation agreements, to use nuclear material and facilities only for peaceful purposes. “
June 5th, 2008 at 7:03 pm
@Awais,
The fact is that you don’t have a clue what you are talking about and now blaming Lal-Masjid and elected Iranian leader to divert the topic.
Thanks for exposing your hypocrisy yourself. Someone said it right that Jiyala Pan is a mental disorder.
June 5th, 2008 at 7:14 pm
West is busy in miligining our heros and the episode of Dr. AQ Khan is a true example. Every body knows that several Western companies were also involoved but no body touches them.
What to talk of Western media, unfortunately our own people are busy in suggesting to hand over AQ Khan to IAEA.
@ Awais are you realy a Pakistani? I cannot expect this kind of statement from a Pakistan that AQ Khan should be hand over to IAEA.
June 5th, 2008 at 8:23 pm
@rasheed
after reading your comments in ref: to @ Awais I would like to share a few observations-
AQ KHAN might be whatever @Awais says he is -but EVERYONE deserves a fair examination of the accusations leveled against them and NO ONE is GUILTY till they have been tried in a legal court of law and have had the opportunity to be represented by a Lawyer.
AQ KHAN was taken by the Musharraf regime- No legal proceedings were initiated against him but instead he was CONVICTED by TELEVISION where the Prosecutor, Judge and JURY was one man Musharraf.
@ Awais is talking about the UN agency IAEA and the supposed authority they might have against AQ Khan under the NPT. What the IAEA does very well is issue statements which suite the whims of the Western Powers and their political aims. The IAEA does not examine the transfer of Nuclear technology by the USA to INDIA because they cannot. The IAEA failed to stop the USA from attacking IRAQ because the IAEA is simply a bureaucratic behemoth serving the interests of those that wish to maintain a monopoly of the Nuclear business.
What has the IAEA done to the GERMAN firms which make the centrifuges or the other European business concerns that make big buck in the nuclear business in the black market.
But aside from that issue- AQ Khan cannot be just transfered to anyone or any agency just because it is the wish of someone. Also one must keep in mind the REAL POLITIK of the AQ KHAN. He is not just anyone. He has become a symbol of the people of Pakistan. The PPP has not learned any lessons in the past . Let me just place a few of the episodes-
1.BB gave statements in favour of what Musharraf did to Lal Masjid and how he did it forgeting that there were real human beings whose kids were killed. She also gave statements about giving AQ KHAN to the WEST on a platter . She did all of that to win brownee points with the US so that they would help her get back in power. Well- where is she now. You simply cannot do that sort of stuff to the people of Pakistan in that way.
2.PPP after the election has backed out of restoring the judiciary. Their govt. is now paralysed and is incapable of doing anything. Every day Zardari is losing his credibility more and more.
3. If the policy of PPP is to simply continue to cow tow to the west and be their lackey like Musharraf- well they should expect nothing better in return than what Musharraf is getting now.
The people of Pakistan have come a long way in the last 9 years while the politicians are still frozen in the times gone by.
@ Awais should try to be fair in ref: to AQ Khan. If anyone has any accusations against him- let them bring the matter to a court in Pakistan where AQ Khan can have lawyers representing him and where he can question his accusers and let it be public on live TV. BUT to transfer a human being to the IAEA secretly would be like selling the Afghans and Pushtoons and the Arabs in Pakistan to the CIA for money as done by Musharraf’s regime. This would not only be immoral and illegitimate but not possible in the Pakistan of to-day. This would be the surest way for PPP to commit POLITICAL SUICIDE

oooh my God war is on……

most of the visitors of this forum has zerdaari phobia.i just wonder why some hate him so much, i think they are suffering from excesive hate disorder,if i just compare him nawaz shareef,AZ is far better leader than NS.AZ or his family never supported any dictator,on the other side NS was made leader artificially by a dictator.AZ spend his days in jail bravely,on other hand NS should have died if he spend few more days in jail,he suffered from acute depression.its his men who attacked supreme court building and who can forget how he removed justice sajjad.

@Rasheed
My friend I appreciate your defence of A Q Khan. Personally, I would not endorse this Awais guy or whoever he is with a response. All Pakistanis, with the exception of a few dimwits, love A Q Khan more than their lives.
So I would say USA can feck off and all those who talk about proliferation can feck off too cos we love A Q Khan no matter what. Even if he did sell the alleged information, we still don’t give a crap and we still love him!!! The only reason why the Pakistani public never stood up with him at the time of his detention was because of his submission.
He should have refused to read out the statement that he was given by Moshe but unfortunately he made that mistake and the people were divided, confused and upset. But even then the larger majority never for one second thought that A Q Khan had done something against the interests of the very country he sought to protect all his life.
So I urge to all caring Pakistanis that when confronted with the confused individuals (mostly members of NGO
