Just like Punjab, Baloch and Sindh go for a Saraiki Regiment too.
By the way what will be the name of this province? Saraika, Saraik or simply Saraiki (rhymes with Karachi, Yet another province).

I strongly support for Saraiki province. in my opinion, Punjab should be divided in three parts:
Northern Punjab (Province Potohar), Rawalpindi division, Sargodha Division,
Central Punjab: Lahore, Faisal abad and Gujrawala Divisions
Southern Punjab(Province ROHI, or Saraikistan), Multan, Bahawalpur and Dera Ghazi Khan
I am sure by division of Punjab, blame on Punjab from people of other different province can be minimized.
The other important reason is that Punjab govt always utilized funds in Lahore, Faisalabad, Gujrawala, Rawalpindi and Sargodha but always neglect Multan, Bahawalpur, and Dera Ghazi khan.

First Kalabagh Dam and now another attempt to divert attention from dictator’s exit and judiciary issue. Can we also break NWFP into two i.e. one for pashtoons and one for non pashtoons. can we break Sindh into 2 i.e. one for urdu speaking and one for sindhis. can we break the whole pakistan into unlimited number of units based on different etinicities. Bull Shit.

assaN qaidi takht Lahore dey !!
Pakistan needs at least 10 provinces. Each province with a population of 17 million. Karachi would be a province with Hyderabad, Seraikistan/Rohi would be a province and Pothwar would be a province with Hazarawalls. The politics of hatred would subside….Nobody would be able to “kalabagh” an issue. Politics would become more localized and issue-based and less ethnicity-oriented.
Punjab needs to be broken up into smaller units to balance the republic and to strengthen the federation.
India had a new state most recently in 2005 I think. (Jharkhand or Uttarkhand something)….We need to follow the Indian example.

I Agree with more provinces, but logic given on this forum is useles
IF you want more provinces on the logic that more funds will be spent in LAHORE. Then give answer to this.
IF ANOTHER PROVINCE IN SOUTH PUNJAB, then multan is capital. More funds will be used in multan , instead of bhawalpur or muzzafar garh,
Same is the case with Karachi. More money is spent on karachi then, whole province of sindh.
Big cities will get more budjet than small towns.
London has mor e development budget than any other city in UK.
Have more provinces, but wih some sound resoning.

If we are going to have a Saraiki province, keep in mind it will be not be Punjab only that will need carving. Certainly Punjab needs to be divided beyond that and along the “population” lines maybe we need more than one Saraiki province instead of a single big one…

Should have added a disclosure:
I am a “Saraiki” from Southern Punjab…
(But I didn’t know till today there was a Saraiki Video Portal

a province in south punjab is needed because punjab is too big right now. A 90 million population cannot be managed in this age with one administration and so areas must be divided in smaller regions to improve adminstration efficiency.
btw, saraiki population is about 30 million and equal to pashtoons (see 1998 population specs)
