ISLAMABAD, July 11: The Pakistan Muslim League-N on Friday hinted that if the deposed judges were not reinstated it could take a major decision about continuing its support for the Pakistan People’s Party-led coalition government by the end of next month.

They “hinted” a “could”! What cr@p for crying out loud! “COULD”, “MAY” , etc. are WORTHLESS words. Should I believe this or their firm statements saying “WE WILL NOT LEAVE THE COALITION AND WE WILL SUPPORT PPP GOVERNMENT NO MATTER WHAT” (Notice no use of “could” or “may”….They can be firm when they want to be)…
July 12th, 2008 at 11:43 am
they are just dragging they feet in line with mr 10%.
July 12th, 2008 at 2:15 pm
No COULD or WOULD, they SHOULD !
AND Why should PML-N wait until END of August, why not Give a DEADLINE for END of JULY ?
PML-N is not putting forward EVEN ONE Resolution in National Assembly.
What is the HIDDEN AGENDA ?
It smells like APPEASEMENT at the cost of the Nation
Every moment of waiting to ACT is a LOST opportunity for Pakistan
The Opportunity to put Pakistan on the RIGHT track, since Feb 18, is being compromised in playing POLITICS of indecision and tagging along
and dragging their feet TOGETHER …
Why wait and wait, months after months, and still say “COULD”, instead of “WILL” ?
(Well noted by nota above ! )
The answer to the above question is evident:
The “WILL” to ACT is MISSING, thta’s why they say “COULD”
The PASSION to WORK for the Country is not a VIRTUE, which can be attributed to our Politicians, for they LACK the TRUE LEADERSHIP qualities —
Enjoying foriegn trips is more RELAXING then remaing in the Country to CONFRONT ISSUES, find SOLUTIONS and implement them ASAP !
May they get a JOLT of PATRIOTISM and tighten their BELLIES to work for Pakistan’s SAFETY and SECURITY, when FATA, LOC and NWFP are burning !
If the Coalition doesn’t deliver, the third OPTION is in the NATION of 160 million to DEMAND their JUSTICE and PEACE in the Country.
Let’s HOPE against HOPE and PRAY to GOD for MIRACLES …
ONLY Allah will SAVE Pakistan!

Nawaz Sharif should learn from Imran Khan and be brave. America has pusehd him to the wall. He can only be trampled down from here unless he goes on offensive and act like a leader not an angry wife. For heavens sake he should realise his potential as the sole popular leader in this country. He could be working out revloutionary economic plans to help this country rise from the ashes. Do I need to say what made Bhutto likeable. Its a streak of sincerity and dedication in his mixed political career. Come on Nawaz Sharif I know you cant do it but please prove me wrong.
July 12th, 2008 at 3:40 pm
Leadership Potential is/was there with NS. AA has refined himself , when he was force into ‘philosophical’ confinement.
NS got ‘out of touch’ during his ‘exile’. He needs to catch up and activate his hidden potential, which, I hope , is just latent — ‘brooding’ in a current phase of ‘rooth gaiye’ , during which the Nation is suffering.
“MOVE NOT BROOD” should be the motto of PML-N.
ACT to DEMAND or ELSE give the Nation a chance to RE-ELECT on the basis of:
NATIONAL POLICIES: JUSTICE, SAFETY , SECURITY fand SOCIAL JUSTICE for Pakistan and Pakistanis, including FATA and 4 Provinces!
Let’s see if Nawaz goes to Bat and scores a Century for Pakistan. I am not ready to bet on him yet, unless he goes into the field !
July 12th, 2008 at 4:07 pm
They are just throwing straws in the wind to see which way the wind is blowing. The wind has been blowing but those who have no courage and no leadership skills have been asleep.
NS does not and never did show courage though he can be called a good person.
What PML-N needs is to give the reins of power and decision making to Shahbaz Shareef and then let us see which way the wind blows.
In ref: to this nonsense of May or think or feel - the time is already past.
To-day would be a good day to say good by to the party of NRO but even that is late.
I do not understand which planet these guys are living on but it sure seems they are not on this earth as the news media and information revolution has changed the world and as yet these guys still think they can continue as before.

@Nota has said it…..This is just another set of games. PML-N(one) has the aim to “convince” the nation that they are “sincere” and want the judges restored. What the heck….They don’t want anything else than a show to gain more time to KILL the judges movement. They succeeded in the Long March, where they found a good comrade in AA, and they will continue this dirty game by sending out “signals” for a change…BS. There will be no change! They just want to save their own interests……THE PUNJAB KURSI.
The only thing which can save Pakistan is that the nation kicks out all the old well tried politicians and embraces new leadership…..Remember you can’t learn an old dog new tricks……The politicians of the old school will never change. They are thoroughly rotten
Waiting for the PML-N(one) fanclub or rather BUTTclub outburst..
July 12th, 2008 at 4:43 pm
Why you are breaking the coalition? Even being a part of the coalition you can continue to work in a way which you think is better.
But in parliament house, not in newspapers/press confernces/talk shows/internet forums. Period.
July 12th, 2008 at 4:48 pm
Maybe the “Positive Ninnies” can throw some light on the PML-N(one) planning. What are their real intentions?
July 12th, 2008 at 5:03 pm
Asif
In almost all of your comments you mention Parliament. Without good judiciary parliament is just a dinasour. That sort of validates PML-N position although I disagree thats the only problem on earth.
July 12th, 2008 at 6:15 pm
Rehan,
PMLN took part in election that they would not leave an open field for PPP & PMLQ(aligning with dictator).
But now PMLN is leaving an open field for the future dictator by not bringing any issue in parliament.
PMLN is trying to get political benefit of the situation instead of moving forward for any resolutions to such issues(military operation, price-hike…)
July 12th, 2008 at 7:00 pm
Asif
I have been following you since last november. You are dead agianst PMLN.
Please answer following with logic.
1- If N league stop support for coalition. Then what will be achieved. Q league and MQM are happy to join government. How will this benfit any cause?
2- Shahbaz Sharif is giving good governance. Please point out any wrong appointment in Punjab government , without merit.
3- Punjab goverment is working on improvement of health sector. What is wrong with that.
4- What wil acheived by leaving gvernment in punjab , when you are single largest party.
If PMLN go for all out opposition, Musharaf will have last laugh.
Which party is most against JURNAIL RULE.
At the moment drastic steps can lead to more anarchy.
I agree with you that parliament is actual forum.
I also am critical of Nawaz Sharif for staying out of country at critical juncture.
July 12th, 2008 at 7:25 pm
PML-N is the biggest hidden supporter of Mush and his policies. They will go to any extent to support and continue the current setup. They occasionally give these hints to confuse people and to hide their real intentions.
July 12th, 2008 at 7:30 pm

———————————————————————————————–
I have already said that PMLN should not bring any no-confidence against the current govt.
But it doesn’t mean that they should not discuss any issues in parliament & try to balance the issues discussing in talk shows/press conferences to blame PPP.
If PPP has unable to put forward any solution Do go to parliament propose better solutions in parliament, gather the support over there, & if its not being approved by parliament then do blame PPP & others in talk shows/press confernces……..
July 12th, 2008 at 7:32 pm
pml-n is becoming as broken a record as PPP-z….sad!!
first it was july…now it is august…and in august it will be march…MARCH of natomerican forces into pakistan.
July 12th, 2008 at 8:00 pm
I have already started a compaign in my surrounding, and I will make sure that (Insha Allah) next time nobody, whom I know, votes for either ppp or pmln.
Birds of a feather flock together, I don’t find pmln saint in this situation. They both are impotent.
Lets support the and back the issues not the persons or parties.
July 12th, 2008 at 8:06 pm
its really frustrating to see people bashing the only vialbe hope for the country..PML-N.
if PML-N takes a drastic step as pulling its support from this setup which will also effet punjab government it will commit following:
1- Leaving excuse for PPP to go to pro -Mush parties and it will blame PML-N for this. This will also give Mush a lot to say in govenrment affairs as then he will be an active partner with all the right power strings to exercise none of which PML-n has right now as minor partner in Federal government.Onlu punjab govt. is the power string pml-n has right now which it will lose…then you can forget about the space and support long marches can get in punjab.
2) judges will still not be restored even if pml-n quits.PPP will be free from any pressure after that to do anything about it.
3) If anyone is in illusion that there will be new elections he is a fool as who in the power arrangement would go for it,PPP ,its (new) allies PML-q,MQM& ANP, COAS or president.
4) H aving said all this i can predict PML-n has no future if it remains in the coalition without getting any of its objective but the only thing they care about is not getting the blame from PPP and left wing intellects of not giving enough time to peoples mandate which includes PPP(one like or not). its hardly a little more than three months since PM took oath so i think at least PML-N should give aout six months to this government with all good faith
i know a lot of people hate pml-n for mostly reasons which are not ppolitical rather perssonal or racial but i can assure you it has a solid standing in punjab and still the best bet for this country. i have a lot of respect for IK but he still has to do a lot of ground work in punjab before he can cash on his personal popularity.

The “COALITION LETHARGY” is STUCK in a CATCH 22 situation.
1. AAZ can’t agree to re-instate CJ,
because he is AFRAID of NRO reversal
2. NS has gone into hiding, because of the 21 years BAN verdict
3. They are making the Paliament dysfunctional by PULLING STRINGS
from OUTSIDE Parliament
4. On Feb 18, they were crying FOR “Parliament ki Baladasti”
Today they have put the Parliament to SLEEP, beause the Parliament
members are only “Yes-Men” to NS and AA.
They CAN’T vote against their CONSCIENCE and the ‘conscience’
Switch in the hands of their Party Leaders.
6. PML-N is NOT submit ting a Resolution to UNSEAT Mr. Mush, may be
because of Mr. Bush? (Does NS aALSO care about that?)
7. PML-N says we must keep Coalition going for the sake of the Nation
Or is it because PML-N is AFRAID to sit in the Opposition for the
next 5 years, if it DISPLEASES Mr. AAZ, because then PPP could form
a NEW COALITION with PML-Q and MQM ?
8. Mr. NS is trying to EAT the CAKE and KEEP it as well.
KEEPING Punjab and EJOYING the federal BENEFITS ?
Trying to RIDE two BOATS at the same time .
10. The JOY RIDE must be ended.
The Nationt cannot PAY for it ANYMORE.
11. Can the PM call a Session and speak his mind too?
Can he give a SPEECH and explain his POLICIES and STEPS his
Government has PLANNED, regarding reconciliation in FATA ?
Or is it a State Secret in the hands of his Party Leader, Mr. AAZ?
12. Well Pakistan is slowly FALLING from the Fying Pan into the FIRE.
Instead of an Army Dictator, it is being ruled by two Democratic
Dicattors, whose “Yes-Men” are just keeping the Parliament
benches warm, without resolving a SINGLE important issue, which
the Nation is confronted with daily.
May be a SAVIOR will appear on the Horizon soon — KALTAK?
May Allah SAVE Pakistan fom INTERNAL and EXTERNAL threats too!

@shafiq
Answers to ypur points:
2)NS is not hiding in london, he dared to comeack when mush was in uniform and despite the american threat he stays mostly in pakistan.please don’t misguide people on this he is visiting his wife who has a right for her husand to e on her side .Most importantly he refused to meet AZ in london as he wants to decide issues in pakistan.
4) Parliment is dysfunctional becuz PPP & AZ don’t want to do rational politics ..they r the one who keeps issues out of the assemlly floor. PML-N is just giving PPP leaders time to make thier minds. secondly if PPP don’t agree to any logical solutions to mush and CJ prolems ..one can make hue & cry in parliment ut it will be NAKKAR KHANNEY MEY TOTI KI AWAZ…it will not solve unless PPP shows the political will as NS has said all along.PML-n may get some score in public by bringing issues but nothing more.
6)PML-N can’t get any resolution pass through this assembly as the number game is clear again nothing but political scoring..no real chance of acheiving anything by submitting empty resolutions.
7)Yes PML-n wants this coaliton to survive as the alternate coaliton will be every thing that america & mush wants. so pushing PPP into those hands will not help anyone but mush and his AKKA.
8)Punjab has given PML-n its mandate ..y should they let it go to someone else. they will fight for it tooth and nail. this is no joy ride ..there is a mess to clean up for them in punjab. which SS is trying his best to do.they must not let the punjab voter down who dared against all odds and voted them in power.
9) PML-N will quit this coalition soon if the main 2 issues it got voted for are not resolved.but it must not hasten and let PPP expose itself completely other wise they will put onus on PML-n for not respecting peoples verdict .
i just ask people not to lose hope and support whoever has a clear and principled stand others will just wash away if we stay united and focused.
July 13th, 2008 at 3:58 pm
@kjat
“hiding” : intransitive verb:
1. to remain out of sight
2. to seek protection or evade responsibility
3. to make oneself unavailable (e.g. refusal to meet AAZ in London)
Mr. NS has the personal freedom to be wherever he wants to be, e.g. to be in London with his Wife, after her opeation …
His counterpart is in Dubai, also to be with his children
So, please don’t take the comment out of context by associating it with the political ban verdict —
Pakistan needs the TWO to be in the country and not Hide from their responsibilities or from EACH OTHER.
The URGENT ISSUES facing the Nation MUST be ADDRESSED by BOTH the “COALITION PATNERS” on a DAILY BASIS.
NS and AAZ are not seeing each other Eye to Eye anymore, they are not discussing the Pakistan Issues to agree upon a CLEAR CUT Pakistan Policy to handle INTERNAL as well as EXTERNAL threats. They are NOT working together in the CABINET Ministeries to manage teffectively the plight of COMMON MAN, (high prices, lack of commodoties and fuel and electricity)
By the way, why can’t Mr. NS work towards constructing a STEEL MILL in Pakistan.
Why is he constructing a STEEL MILL in Saudia Arabia?
Is he bent upon MAKING MONEY?
Does he plan to buy SCRAP IRON at throw away prices from Pakistan, which is left unmolted, because the electricty is not being provided to the small IRON FOUNDRIES in Faisalabad?
If he is PATRIOTIC he should CANCEL his STEEL MILL Project in Saudi Arabia and BRING it to Pakistan.
Pakistan needs INDUSTRIAL and AGRICULTURAL development.
Pakistan DOES NOT need to be run by:
- Business Men
- Bankers
- Army Dictators
- Democratic Dictators
Pakistani people need Patriotic People to run its affairs
- who feel for the poor
- who don’t exploit the people and resources of Pakistan
- who don’t RULE like old Colonialists for their own benefits
- who WORK for Pakistan
- etc. etc.
July 13th, 2008 at 9:17 pm
@shafiq
thats just great ..first you accuse PML-n of a set of things when i respond to them you get personal with NS . i had already commented that most NS opposing people have a persona racial reasons for it.
Anyways i will reply to your comments.
we have been hearing about this steel mill in saudiarabia since they were deported but i don’t know if this is a new one or same…..secondly you should know that NS is not the sole owner of his family bussinesss ..they r 6 brothers and 2 of them r in politics rest r bussinessmen and they do wats good for thier bussiness ..NS no more take part in these decissions.
Also u should know that what this mush did to thier foundary is one reason for them to make investment outside so no dictator can blackmail them from this but this is entirely to sharif bussiness choice how and where they want to invest money this is not PUBLIC money.
PML-n under NS has taken very principled stand on every issue thats previling right now …they r in power in punjab so they r answerable in this capacity otherwise they don’t have any power in the federal setup.
please see beyond your personal limted vision on NS. Don’t mix facts with your own opinions based on unknown facts.
July 13th, 2008 at 9:25 pm
@kjat
I think NS has 2 brothers, Shahbaz Sharif and Abbas Sharif and one sister.
July 14th, 2008 at 12:31 pm
@kjat
i agree with @kjat and @Muhammad Usman points above…
people (on this forum) have got something against NS. they rather than looking and judging him by the stance he has taken they are bashing him for no real reason…
there are 2 things that really surprise me:
-i am not sure why some are so keen for SS to give up govt in Punjab? people of punjab have given their votes and ‘confidence’ to PMLN govt and SS/NS must do everything to ensure the mandate given is protected
- NS is the only party in parliament that is making sincere efforts for restoration of judiciary inside parliament…..yet i see NS being blamed for non-restoration of judiciary (although N has much less than even 40% seats) ….and very few accuse AZ…and almost none accuse Q League, MQM or ANP….that make sme think that those bashing PMLN must be really Q, MQM and ANP supporters….although they might belong to a different party but there ‘objectives’ are really the same as the 3 parties….
July 14th, 2008 at 1:18 pm
Zardari is on a mission to own this country before finally taking revenge and breaking it like a child.
Nawaz is not as brave to lead the nation as we all wish he was. His silence is so cowardly.
Imran Khan is the one who can deliver for Pakistan.
July 14th, 2008 at 1:24 pm
IK can defintely deliver speeches….
but its PMLN and its leaders who are carrtying out the sensible fight for restoration of judiciary and impeachment of Mush
July 14th, 2008 at 4:09 pm
- Healthy criticism doesn’t harm — it was not meant to be personal.
- NS is more patriotic than many
- Still, Investing within Pakistan would be a NOBLE cause, for all to follow
- Coalition should continue. It may lead to better solutions in long term
- Mush must be out, because of his sell-out policies, with Musheer-PM.
- July 20 constellation must be countered TOGETHER by the NATION,
represented by the FULL PARLIAMENT unanimously, in the form of a
Pak-Resolution for the future as well
- Legal Justice for Social Justice must be implemented through
restoration of IMPARTIAL Judiciary for all times to come
- Selfless governance for the country should crystallize as soon as
possible
- After a painful, slow century, it’s time to GO FAST and hit big shots
during the second hundred days…
Century after Feb 18.
