Talat is very smart n intelligent to strip to skin these conjurers.he does has the art to articulate the questions in a decent way that the sincere leader like javaid Hashmi is constrained to admit the reality.i think he should avoid to invite the leaders who are not capable to defend the policies of their parties logically.

It was sad to see someone like Javed Hashmi defend Nawaz Sharif’s absence from the country.

@Niazi, I don’t think either PML-N or PPP has a policy to tackle this issue. I think we should invite Barack Obama to Pakistan and let him visit the northern areas and meet people to discuss their issues. He may not have a very good understanding of this region, but unlike our leaders, he has a vision and capability to come up with a plan to address this problem.

Talat is an outstanding journalist and we need more like him. but Talat is capable of so much more. he is the kind of guy we need in a political party in some meaningful leadership position.

Javed Hashmi came off really poor defending Sharif and then to talk about the world becoming a “global village”… just sad… how stupid do these politicians think we are? I didn’t expect anything from Kundi/PPP and I was completely right.

it is unfortunate that no other analyst is talking about this super-important issue like Talat is.

Obama’s mom used to work for US Aid in pakistan.she lived in pakistan for many years. She wore shalwar qameez and could speak urdu language.
Barrack also visited pakistan for three weeks and had few friends from that time.
He understands the culture very well.

    @Justice,

May Obama knows culture of Pakistan etc., but don’t forget, if he comes in power, he like other presidents, will have to litsen lots of people including play back actors too!!!!! to keep him president.

Now to our politicians, they should forget their own differences and be one at this critical junction and very bad time of the nation. It is said that
” you can break one wooden stick easily but if there are five sticks together you can’t break those sticks until they are no separated.

Our politicians will run away from Pakistan. God forbids, if Pakistan is attacked by it’s allies. These politicians are only partners in our goodtimes (lotting) in bad times, you wouldn’t see them around like now a days, no weight in their talks.

Javed Hashmi also admitted that its much better for the leader to be present in the country itself as it the people feel better about it.

There is a geniune reason for Nawaz to with his wife who is recuperating from surgery

@Justice: “He understands the culture very well.”

I think that’s stretching it a bit. There are a lot of Brit Pakistani’s whose parents lived 20-30 years in Pakistan before moving to England and having those kids. These people even go to Pakistan once in a while. I wouldn’t even say about _them_ that they understand the Pakistani culture society very well.

not apples to apples, but I think it illustrates the point.

Compare the understandings of such ABCD’s of all stripes and some mulatto kid whose mother was stationed in Pakistan for a while and who spent 3 weeks of vacation there.

All indications are the generally he’s more informed on foreign policy issues than the run of the mill American senator, but I wouldn’t characterize it as “understands the culture very well”. He’s “familiar” at most.

hey hey now hang on. Obama will follow the “agenda” that will be provided to him by his bosses who make plans so don’t expect anything good from him. It doesn’t matter what he thinks, it’s all about the agenda that he will follow.
On the other hand, McCain is another Bush so he is no good for the world but Obama ain’t gonna do anything for us, it will be all according to the plan.

@ataraxis6: Obama is a Democrat buddy. Full blown die hard interventionists not unlike the current cadre of neocon Repukes. Both sides of the same coin. McSame and Ohbombnow.

Either way Pakistan would be fvcked. Plus he aters much to the AIPAC, and along with Hillary is considered the masters of Beltway Pork (barrel spending). In other words much bucks from the lobbies and special interest.
While McSame dances and tries to swoon old hags with bomb bomb bomb Iran, OhBombnow, has not been shy from sining the same tune. Remember: “will send troops into Pakistan with or without the approval of the government of Pakistan”…”actionable intelligence..”? Any of it sound familiar huh? huh?
I guess I’m the crackhead here.

And then let’s not forget the zealot mavericks of hindutva who fully cajole the Democrats. It was after all Clinton who visited India twice and was invited to survey….not the terrain to send in the drones (haha send in the drones…) but to thaw the thaw thaw. Indians even wore clone to mask their rancid smell.

There is no “audacity of hope” coming out to rescue pakis from across the pond. For in this nation naive audacity is confused with “hope”.

    So, wutcha may do?

Listen to the natoinal and unfortunately the only national asset and brave son who’s been shouting his lungs out for anyone to listen. Self reliance, comes with self respect, self respect comes with taking principle stands.

    That would be Imran Khan.

Trust me. He’s got good advice for all thee.

lolz….haha let’s invite McBama to northern pakstan….so that he may do what? get his balls licked clean by this kangaroo parliament?
