Note that I fully support the freedom of religion to all the religious minorities of Pakistan be it Christians, Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhists or Ahmadis. But I also think that the muslim majority of the country have the right to defend their belief against any religious propaganda by our Non Muslim friend according to the Noble Qur’an and Sunnah of the last prophet, i.e. prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

Regarding condemnation of USA and UK…I would say that had your source been some literature “by” Jamaat rather than “on” Jamaat than you would have got the answer.There is a whole book by Hazrat Mirza Tahir Ahmed which explains the whole story behind American Invasion of Iraq in 1991 and our Khulafa in their Sermons have repeatdly termed these acts as unjust and cruel if you want to read it than I will be more than obliged to send it by post or can get the pdf version uploaded on the web as well.That will explain to you where we stand on this issue and to put it briefly we believe that US invaded Iraq just to loot the Oil Wealth of that nation and to enslave its people..

As for Salman Rushdie same is the case,one of the reasons that you think that there are not much Press Releases from our side is mainly becauase these issues are touched by our Khulufa in their Friday Sermons and if a thing has already been touched in a Sermon than there is,appearently, no need for the issuance of a separate Press Release.

Please allow me, to try to transalste your Urdu-tpye comments into English, which I think are as(?) follows :-
‘Aawae ga aawae ga. daggar raj aawae ga’= Come what may, daggar raj will arrive.
‘Jaisi rooh, waisae frishtae ‘= Like angels, like the souls;
‘Jaisae awaam, waesae hukm-raan’ =like rulers, like the ruled.
The last saying one is really classic.
My opinion:-
1. Every type of ‘governance’ is only & only fit for those, who are ‘goverened.’
2. In other words, what is ‘good for a goose, MAY NOT be good for a gander.’
3. It also means, that the TYPE of ‘governance’ or ‘a form of democracy,’ GOOD for the WESTERN SOCIETY, is CERTAINLY NOT GOOD, for the EASTERN SOCIETY.
4. Time & again, this has been argued in Pakistani electronic & print media, by our elders, mostly by those who viewed it purely on moral, ethical & religious grounds.
5. In other words, what our religious leaders have been demanding all along, seems to be CORRECT, that of LAW OF THE LAND, should be, as per ISLAMIC LAWS.
6. That’s it. Then everything will automatically ‘fall in it’s proper place.’

You may not like dogar… But the PPP wants him… Its a democratic government and a democratic government is not supposed to take every decision according to will of the people. The decision should be for the betterment of the people. You are not supposed to decide what decision should be taken, its the parliament and you as a nation has to accept that even if you dont like it…
