Produced and directed by Irish filmmaker and former BBC producer Jamie Doran, the film tells the story of thousands of prisoners who surrendered to the US military’s Afghan allies after the siege of Kunduz. According to the film, some three thousand of the prisoners were forced into sealed containers and loaded onto trucks for transport to Sheberghan prison. When the prisoners began shouting for air, U.S.-allied Afghan soldiers fired directly into the truck, killing many of them.
The rest suffered through an appalling road trip lasting up to four days, so thirsty they clawed at the skin of their fellow prisoners as they licked perspiration and even drank blood from open wounds. Witnesses say that when the trucks arrived and soldiers opened the containers, most of the people inside were dead. They also say US Special Forces re-directed the containers carrying the living and dead into the desert and stood by as survivors were shot and buried. Now, up to three thousand bodies lie buried in a mass grave.
Outraged human rights groups and lawyers are calling for an investigation but the U.N. special envoy to Afghanistan refuses any U.N.-backed investigation until the Afghan government can protect witnesses. Two of the witnesses in the film have already been killed.

I may not have any future access to this film by Jamie Doran, but it sounds VERY MUCH TRUE, because many people, Pakistanis & others alike,( like me,) MAY HAVE HAD, a first-hand knowledge, of such doings, from their near & dear ones.
Others, who faced such a predicament,during the 2nd World War/Pak-Indian Wars of ’65 & ’71, & lastly, during Afghan Jihad, against the Soviets, in ’70s & ’80s, also have a story or two to tell.
Many of visitors here, may have read about such atrocities, by the hands of the Japanese military, carried-out upon the captives of the British -Indian military; by the Russians,on their European captives; by the Yankees, upon Vietnamese/ others; by the Afghans (mostly of Northern Alliance,) on their Pakistani captives; & lastly by the Indians,(mostly by Hindus & Sikhs,) on their Pakistani-muslim captives.)
I also strongly believe , that many ‘influences’ have also effect a soldiers beliefs on such matters; like his family up-bringing/religion/social life,; all of which play a strong negative or positive role, on his outward approach in life, especially in war.
November 2001 is when that massacre happened, and 2002 is when this documentary is made. It is 2008 and 2009 is about to dawn upon us. VIVA DEMOCRACY !?!?!?

Jamati Islami was against the creation of Pakistan… who denies that. I don’t trust “Jamats” that are part of the current political process.

What kind of moron you are who does not know what the Pakistani Taliban were doing there? The Taliban have declared a universal war against the Israel, USA, NATO and all those who support them. It is a war which they believe are against the non believers and the HYPOCRITES (Those who are friends of the non believers and for some worldly gain sides with the non believer and seeks prestige from them). The Taliban gave a universal call to all the believers to join them in the fight. Since it is a universal fight, believers from all around the world joined them. General Dostum with his ‘Jozjani Militia’ or ‘Gilam Jam Militia’ is the key responsible man of this massacre and it did happen in the ‘Leyla Chol’ or the desert of Leyla in northern Afghanistan on the way to Mazar from Jozjan. You may see the documentry film made on this by the National Geographic channel. For the purpose General Dostum had made appointed his trusted commanders to the task. General Dostum is for the time trying the support of Turkey making up relation of Uzbeks as Turkic people but the Turks know him well. He will get his just reward just as the Americans are getting and will get.
Beside those who were killed in the Dasht-e Leyla some 600 fighters who were there from different countries siding with Afghan Talibans were also forced to lay arms before Americans when their Afghan Taliban masters deceived them making a secret deal with Dostum. They made an assault on a fort named Qala-e Jangi and fought to death with the forces of Dostum while Americans were supervising.
Interesting to know that people say that some foreign fighters aiding Talibans were even surprised by the Afghan Talibans who turned their guns to them being in the same pitch. Then they handed over some of them to Americans and some were made captives by their own making later sending them back homes receiving large sums of money from their families.

Yes, war is a terribke thing and it destroys a people, their lives and leave hard to efface scars on their minds, psyche and memories. But a little caution to be advised here. We are not much far removed from the same barbarism. First of them its a Book in which theres no doubt & its a Guidance for God fearing so those who do not accept this Book as Guidance in every aspect of their personal & social life, accept they are not God fearing.
Quran has another claim that every wet & dry is in this Book so its a Guidance for us and Book of science for those who have indepth knowledge of Quran.
Quran has another claim–This is a Book which has hidden treasure no one can encompass them except those who are being purified(this is for Ghost who claim at some point that Quran is not Book of science).
Quran also has some instructions about itself.
Do not recite in Vain–obviously when mere recitation is prohibited in vain then comprehending in vain is beyond comprehension.
Another instruction is to ponder in its verses.
My point in quoting all these things is to give us some picture whats expected from believers–This is a talking Book.
When Napoleon Bonapart captured Islamic libraries he ask for a Book that was on the shelve that happened to be Quran he ask to read something from Book–when he was read some verses of Quran his immediate reaction was–this Book is talking to me if we have to conquer Muslims we have to keep them away from this Book.
So make no mistake Quran is a living miracle–Miracles of all the Prophets & Jesus altogether can not match this single miracle given to Prophet Mohammad(saw)–All those miracles were time related means they were dead after their concurrence but this is living miracle which will stay till the judgment day.
I will give just one example to conclude my point.
Quran has given many Laws one of them is Law of Inheritance.
In every country inheritance law is governed by Governments–its not considered individuals matter.
When my father dies we get the inheritance as per some rules when neighboring father dies they also get the distributions as per some rules–its not possible they will say its our personal matter because our father is dead we will decide what share each will get if that happened one of them will take them in court of law to claim justice & justice will be done under some governing rules of law.
Its also not the choice of father to write a will of inheritance before dying not conforming with the rules of law, Father can do so but only after disowning(Aaq)his son-s.
so its established law of inheritance is not an individual matter its a social matter–Those who believe Islam is not for Governance should tell us why Quran in details giving a social law which can never be applicable unless we have Islamic Government as per teachings of Quran.
There are many laws in Quran but this one law which quote here is good enough to prove Islam is not individual only but a social matter.
