Guys have you read the latest column by this madcap Nazir Naji? What an unashamed, despicable, mischievous and crooked character he is. People like these make me ashamed of what we have in our country. We will never go forward an inch from here if we have ugly creatures like this in our society. Only getting rid of this blot in our ranks can save us.

I am no supporter of Nazir Naji , in fact i didn’t agree with his past stands. But he is one who is bold enough to write against the group of people in our intriguing agencies who mislead this nation to wars and other situations.
When you write “get rid of ” what do you mean to murder him?
For a while just forget what Nazir Naji’s long past is (FYI he was the first person who started indecency in otherwise a remarkable print media in Pakistan: while working with daily Masawat, he printed picture with the face of Maulana Maudodi pasted on the body of a semi-nude dancing actress and he was proud of it till Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto’s ouster), just look at recent past.
He was aware of the deal between Musharraf and Benazir and supported wholeheartedly the coalition declaring it to be COALITION OF PROGRESSIVE MIND along with Q-league. At that time he thought Nawaz Sharif will never make it to Pakistan and out rightly rejected him. When tables turned and he saw Musharraf going, he started writing GO MUSHARRAF GO, in his columns. Seeing Shabaz Sharif as Chief Minister he started appreciating him. He tried his best to go back to NS camp but NS rejected him point blank, just like he did with characters like Sh. Rasheed etc. At that time Naji started criticizing Q-league, even after getting a hefty amount from Chaudhris during their tenure. Ex-Governor Punjab Khalid Maqbool used to laugh at him and many times told his colleagues that it is very easy to get an aided column from Naji. Just throw a LIFFAFA at him, he will grab it like a dog and you will be seeing every good word in dictionary for you next day.
Now he is a regular at Zardari’s darbar and regularly getting liffafa and bottle. Currently he is trying his best to paint anyone as ENEMY OF DEMOCRACY whoever is against Zardari or threat to his rule, whether it be Chief Justice Iftikhar Ch., lawyers, Imran Khan and now NS. Whole nation was furious at Richard Boucher awarded with a medallion but he out rightly supported it. He works for agencies and never exposes them. Characters like these should not be invited in serious talks and must be ignored for the civility and credibility of the media (that’s what I mean GET RID OF).

You are right when you described Mr. Naji’s past and i agree with you, but question remains, how many are there to write against those so called Mujahideens/ Talibans. Most of the so called intellectuals in news paper industry trying to make it look simple that, it is just because of USA, and if US is out of picture and if pak army comes out of those areas every thing will be good.
Nobody realize that what ever Taliban (pakistani group) doing has changed the society so much that even very religious person in normal life couldn’t live in that society. Mr. Naji’s past especially his support to dictators is not acceptable to me but it is not the person but what he writes or thinks is important to me, what ever he writes now a days is absolutely correct.
