First of all, the name of this show which sounds like “Weird and Frantic” [no offence] is a misnomer in today’s Internet. Day by day the web is going wireless n’ widened. Other connotations are as if someone is “wired” to an improvised device [Richard Reid, the shoe-bomber from Britain, when got caught in an American Airliner, yelled, “I am wired”]. It also feels as if Pakistanis are wired by USA Department of Homeland Security or by our favorite, CIA. A better name can include the words “Connected and …. ed / Reflected“
Second, I disagree with one of the guests that political blogs should be controlled. The contents also gave its viewers an impression that blogs are mainly used for spreading rumors and throwing filth at opponents. Blogs are no more than people’s opinions and counter opinions and thats the extent they should be treated.
I am certain that all those calls for feedback letters and emails from various media shows will one day divert from producers’ secret and discretionary mail boxes to these blogs where everyone can feel the heartbeat of a performance. Moreover, future knowledge management will give us more effective tools for a better picture of real stuff and of unreal garbage.
