Justice should take its due course but in Pakistan it must be quick because of backlog. Once Aitzaz Ahsan said (probably in 1996) that in Pakistan there are some property dispute cases from 1947 and they are still waiting to be resolved.

I would appreciate if such cases are resolved quickly even if there is a 5% chance of injustice (it is till better than waiting for 60 years. atleast you know where you stand).

My barrister friend in Sindh high court says that many cases are delayed because Judges are incapable and they cannot understand the legal reasoning. Since judges are required to listen to both parties and then apply the complicated laws, many judges delay the cases so that they move to another court during that time and they don’t have to decide something which can be later challenged and embarrassing for them.

We hope that Chief Justice will try to improve the calibre of judges, especially in High Court so that there are no unnecessary delays and no appeals just because a judge gave a ridiculous verdict.

Getting rid of PCO and political appointment will automatically speed up the process.

As I do have a little bit Experience at Pakistani Legal Side under the light of such Experience without any doubt it is mentioned only on papers there are various Reports cum Policies are prepared every now & then but at the end of the day those are proofed as without any fruitful result although such are very practicable in accordance with circumstances & consequences as well but from starting to end the intentions of such high ranked Bureaucrats not to implement the same thus at the end the last & FINAL result such TALIBANS & MQM are created in our society & later-on they have become danger for each other as whatever they GATHERED POWER they do have such Terrible Fear of === SNATCHED AWAY=== from each other.

In short this innocent nation has become “FED UP” with ===ZABANI JAMA KHARCH/VERBAL COMMITMENTS==== it is by mean the time has come to Result Oriented Out Put.

    Assalam-o-Alaikum ALL,

    1) Media, Forums are for those people who are un-informed.

The more we go into discussions, the more time we give to the perpetrators to get away with wrong-doings, the more the general public goes into chaos, the bigger and more complex the problem gets for ALL of us.

    2) Its high time the justice system started functioning. My GOD!!! you have over .3 million! cases to work up. OMG -> 300,000+ un-resolved cases. This is a nightmare. Dammit!! get! to work!

    3) The time for debate is long gone. The time to indulge in what is right and what is wrong is long gone. THIS is the time for rapid action.

We are the ONLY stake holders in conflicts within Pakistan. We! need to get to work on these issues, whether it be spreading the word, pressing the government to make the right decisions, protesting against whatever can be marked as WRONG. There’s too many wrongs’ to list here

The nation is full of people, screaming for mercy.

GET TO WORK ALREADY … DAMMIT!!

    Dyua goh,
    HarisKhan

Well done Ch Iftikhar – better late than never.

I wish these Judicial reforms should have been carried out 2 years ago but Zardari – MQM – ANP wasted 2 years very cruelly in keeping Chief Justice Iftikhar out. I very strongly believe that behind the logo of Taliban all these three parties mentioned above are playing the most dirty Politics and over the issue of Karachi these three are scratching each other backs. In London, Zardari was looking absolutely idiot and bloody fool when he presented flower bouquet to Altaf Hussain. In fact Rehman Malik begged to Altaf Hussain not to reject the flower bouquet.

There is one characteristic which is common among these parties and that is they really have very very hard staunch supporters, doesn’t matter whatever their leader do the supporters will say yes.

Zardari said that Ch: Iftkahar has politicised the whole Sind said they don’t want Ch Iftikhar.
Wali Khan said don’t make Kala Bagh Dam because it will benefit Punjab, the whole frontier has now voted for ANP. Altaf Hussain said start killing people on 12 May 2007, the whole Karachi went on rampage – presenting flowers to Altaf Hussain means killings of 12 May 2007 and killings of Lawyers on 06 April 2008 have now been pardoned. I beg to Ch Iftikhar to take a notice of this. This means that the real Goonda is Zardari.

Since yesterday when Zardari gave flowers to Altaf Hussain all supporters of MQM, PPP and ANP are now very embarssed and looking for excuses to change the topic because all three were accusing other over Karachi riots.

The country is in fact now run by Altaf Hussain and I have been told that in one meeting Gen Kiyani even saluted Rehman Malik

May be they should hire Sufi Mohammand .. he will decide cases even faster.

This is just backwas — they can’t do it .. they won’t do it .. if they do it this way it will be no law

Where the heck did he come up with 6 months .. why not 5, 4, 3, 2 or 1 day ?

Is he talking about doing hazamat or deciding a case .. they don’t have the time or the resources to decide half a million cases in a 5 years .. let alone 6 months.

Compare that to US .. the supreme court in us decides about 100 cases in a typical year.

    @Haqueeqat

At least Ch Iftkhar is doing something. You seem to be a relative of Justice Dogar.

You can now go and join Altaf Hussain and Zardari who are having honey moon in Swat.

    Hi there

We ‘ve been observing these kind of policies for last 62 years but no body explains what’s being done to implement them. The procedure should be transparent so everyone know how new cases will be added and how soon old one are being decided.

It should be on-line and nowadays media is very powerful they can easily keep track of the court progress. It should be extended up to the DSP level office, so all new FIR should be integrated into that system and could be seen online.

We should learn from our neighbor that how transparent is their judicial system.
I’m not saying how justice is being provided but at least you monitor the progress. The website below shows that every one has access to see their case status online.
