    Bravo Kamran Shahid!
It is one of the best programs I have ever seen. Quality of the program is first class.
Mr. Kamran! You cornered the guest elegantly. Mr. Aitzaz fought for Iftikhar Chaudry, for a good cause. What about democracy in political parties.? What a rubbish answer that same happens in India. You choose to fight on principals which you like and bend the others which you do not like.

Well done Mr. kamran!! Thank a lot for a wonderful interview.

This was my 3rd or 4 th front line program. Before this I watched Ameer JI Munawaar Hassan and h. Pervez Elahi’s interview. The host Kamran Shahid is very impressive. He does his home work and confronts very impressively. On 3-4 occasions I think AA failed to live up to the expectations. For a learned clean politician like AA its a lot. All credit goes to anchor. This is much better version of Geo’s Jawab Deh.

PPP was not voted with the mandate of restoring the judges. The elections were postponed to ensure that PPP does not get enough seats due to BB’s death and it has to make a collation with PML(N) in federal govt. so that PPP govt. could be blackmailed. This was the work of establishment and it was successful in that. Establishment could not assess the capabilities of AZ that he could get support from MQM and ANP.

Benazir was reluctant to go to CJ’s home and went to CJ’s home at pressure from AA. It was PML(N) that had used the CJ’s issue to its political advantage. Why would PPP be for restoring IMC when this guy refused to bail AZ five times. The host was very stupid to acknowledge that he was assuming the IMC was a part of the bench that allows PM to run for presidential election of Oct 6. The bottom line is that right wingers were behind the restoration of CJ on the assumption that he would challenge NRO which he did not and he will not. The PML(N), JI and PTI now feel frustrated that CJ actually used them and I am extremely happy with the frustration of these parties.
    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I do not know why opponents of PPP object that as a party which according to them does not democracy within itself. They object that why BB was co-chairperson and then why it moved to AZ. My humble reply is that if PPP had elected Amin Fahim as Chairperson, had they started voting for PPP? answer is no, then what is the difference it makes to THEM if PPP has AZ as chairperson or Bilawal or any other Bhutto family member. As a matter of fact they should be happy if PPP is doomed by having AZ as chairperson. We the PPP guys never object on who is chairperson of JI or JUI or MQM or PML or ANP. We will never vote for these parties so we do not have right to object or propose who should be the leader of JI or MQM or PML or JUI etc etc etc. At the same token PPP haters have no right to object on who is the chairperson of PPP.

AA led judicary’s movement do you classify him as right winger? Also how exactly Atizaz forced BB to visit IMC’s house? I know many friends and relatives PPP activists who took part in CJ’s movement. Both BB and NS directed their supporters to back the movement actively.

Zardari should have restored IMC right away. Why he didn’t I have absolutely no clue. It was AZ who stampped “right” on the movement otherwise it was a classis political movement that was supported by both right and left.

I respect if you have any affiliation with any party. But pleas do recognize what people within party has done to defame themselves. It will be exactly like taliban lovers who rather than looking at mess within the boundries, are hellucinating with conspiracy theories from outside.

Unfortunately, common people like me , not affiliated with any party, are more concerned now because confidence of common people on democratic and electoral process is diminishing day by day. It is alarming that if again we have this process interrupted by any means, common people are so dissapointed that they are going to distribute sweats again.

It is not the matter of a political party is losing its support by it’s own mistakes. It is a matter where whole constitutional process losing it’s ceditibility. May be due to conspiracy of right wingers/establishment etc., but don’t deny how people running show in PPP are helping them in acheiving this goal of proving that myth as reality that “bloody civilians are incapable of ruling the country”.

If another MARD-E-MUJAHID is in power in future, and people are dancing on street with joy rather than resisting it, current rulers will be responsible for that another dark day.

    Kashif,

No, not at all I believe AA is kind of a leader that this nation needs. He is by no means a right winger he is against the status quo. In his own interview AA has said in an interview after the death of BB that she was not in mood to go for CJ’s restoration and after she made the speech at CJ house (that we have seen on TV so many times) she called AA and said “Are you happy now?”. Also you can see the clips on youtube when she blaster supreme court when CJ had taken a sou-moto against NRO after his first restoration of July 20th. Since PPP was losing popularity among masses by not openly supporting CJ movement. The PPP voters were in the procession but BB did not endorse the movement as she should have.

I myself is a Punjabi from Rawalpindi and I believe that the hard core PPP leadership of Sindh does not trust PPP Punjab leadership. They have some reservations based on their experiences with PPP Punjab leadership.

e.g. Farooq Leghari was an establishment’s agent within PPP Punjab.
Jehangir Badar according to some PPP insiders had taken bribes from NS in the early elections and distributed PPP tickets to non-popular guys in Lahore District.

Yousaf Raza Gillani (PM), Mahmood Shah Qureshi (FM), etc. both from Punjab are still considered to be the establishment’s people in the eyes of PPP hard core guys.

The PPP leadership is concentrated in Bhutto family (not because of their capability) only because the Jayala group does not trust any other PPP leader in general and especially from Punjab.

I am happy that you raised very legitimate points and also mibrahim, I agree with you. The ideal conditions are where you pointed out but the ground realities are that there is a big trust deficit among us. We give more weight to loyalty as compare to capability. Down the road things may improve if agencies stop interfering in internal politics.

    Kashif,

The only reason the AZ did not restore CJ was because he wanted to have something from NS from the restoration. IMC would have taken action against NRO immediately if restored after the election and NS should have gained from it. AZ did not restore CJ because he wanted to have NS publicly say that if AZ restores CJ then he (NS) will not cause any more troubles for PPP govt. in Federal. Sacking and restoration of SS govt. in Punjab was also a similar step in that direction.

AZ had to do all that since we (typically Pakistani people) can work only we are either blackmailing some body or being blackmailed by somebody. That is how things work in life, in offices, in business, in govt. system, in political parties etc etc. though it is very unfortunate. And that is one of the reasons that AZ is not allowing cancellation of 17th amendment. You have to actually look an issue from all sides instead of idealizing it and taking it out of the context.
