Asghar Khan,a great human being and a true patriotic Pakistani. It is a shame he failed in politics.May be we don’t deserve great leaders. Our politics is rotten to the core. There is no light at the end of the tunnel.
Very sad|
It is beyond my imagination that Asghar Khan was in-charge of our Air Force. His stance towards Pakistan’s nuclear arms shows his extremely low intellectual capability. A layman in the street can have a much better judgment than this Retd. Air Marshal. He says that India will not use Nuclear bomb against Pakistan and he says that India never attacked Pakistan. I am glad that interviewer exposed this so called ‘gentleman’ politician. After this interview I would strongly recommend that all Air Force Pilots and strategic commanders should be given a basic IQ test and no one should be appointed as forces chief until he/she is cross-examined by NA and Senate and by journalists.
First time watching a program conducted by Kamran Shahid. He seems to be doing just fine.
Asghar Khan, known for his honesty, but accepted Musharraf’s rule after Musharraf inducted his son in his government. No doubt his son, a very talented and caring human being did, within his capacity, his best to make difference for the poor, but failed and resigned.
You may differ with Asghar Khan on some of his thoughts but no one can doubt his integrity.
EYE OPENING Interview: Pakistan needs Nukes to deter India !
Asghar Khan lacks in basic logics, argues of India’s Nukes and ridicules Pak Nukes!
All those who are against Pak Nukes are either dumb or knowingly or unknowingly Enemies of Pakistan
Can’t he see India’s involvement in Lahore, Islamabad, Baluchistan, SWAT and FATA. Or, does he really want to fool us
Has he short memory of what AK Advani said, after India’s blast in 1998, that India will annex even Azad Kashmir?
The only deterence was: Pak Nukes !
Has he short memory too of Bombay “drama”, when India wanted to punish Pakistan with surgical strikes?
Again, the only deterence was Pak Nukes
Goal of India is to divert attention from Occupied Kashmir and to weaken Pakistan.
The only way left for India (Israel and USA) is to try and weaken Pakistan from within:
– through insurgency, using and supporting the dirty Talibans against the Pak people and Pak Army–
Asghar Khan smiles at his own farce and ignorance, when confronted in the video.
Surprisingly he smiles gleefully, when told by the moderator that India has 4 times more conventional power than Pakistan and still says Pakistan doesn’t need the Nukes. What is his logic of thinking and what are his intentions. Is he trying to confuse or fool us?
The goal of the Enemy is to weaken Pakistan and get at the Pak Nukes
India cannot destroy Pak Nukes by attacking Pakistan, because then it will get destroyed itself.
So, it tries to sell the idea of unsafe Pak Nukes to the world and at the same time starts supporting the insurgents with bombs, weapons and money to attack Pak Institutions, Pak people and Pak economy?
Why are Mr. Hoodboy and Mr. AK having the same thoughts as the Pak Enemies?
Both of them say Pak Nukes were a mistake —
Should Pakistan surrender them and let India get Baluchistan and Afghanistan FATA, after the Army is left with nothing more than US supplied planes and tanks and the poor soldiers are face revolt from within and attack from without?
Let’s give them benefit of doubt and hope it is just because of their illogical thinking… PAKISTAN needs NUKES for ever!
100% agreed to what you have indicated. Asghar Khan is not as stupid and illogical as he is seen in this interview. The only reason he is undermining Pakistan Nukes is because the credit for launching an active nuclear program goes to Bhutto. That is the only reason. These guys are so blind in their prejudice against Bhutto that they set aside all common sense and the on0ly thing left for them is to undermine Bhutto’s accomplishments.

I only wish the interviewer was better. He seemed more interested in being aggressive for it’s own sake (which unfortunately is in vogue these days).
