I agree with you. This programme was a good example where difficult issues were being discussed to find solutions. This JUI man looks like a more balanced person.
One major instrument of establishment, Qari Zainuddin, was killed toady in Waziristan. It is possibly done by either Baitullah or RAW/CIA nexus, which is very keen to keep Pakistan army engaged in tribal areas as long as US forces exist on the other side of the Afghan border.

A close aide of Qari Zainuddin while confirming the killing of Qari Zainuddin claimed that he was shot dead by Gulbadeen Mehsud who was managed to flee from the scene. Gulbadeen is a resident of Makeen area. Another associate of Qari Zainuddin sustained injuries in the incident.
Qari Zainuddin had recently given statements to the media opposing Mehsud.

The point is, why don’t we talk about the REAL issues? The real issue is;
1)drone attacks that Pakistan govt. is allowing US/Nato to conduct from its own soil, on!! its own!! people!. That is not saving lives. That is intentionally allowing foreign forces to kill Pakistani citizens.
2)NO ONE in Pakistan is concerned about these drone attacks. No one in Pakistan is protesting against them. No one in Pakistan cares about what is going on in Pakistan.
Looks like people are waiting for their houses to be bombed before they consider it a problem for themselves.
3)Pakistan govt.’s support to US/Nato for ‘war on terror’ which is now popularly known as ‘war OF terror’

5)shipping of military supplies for US/Nato through Pakistan going to Afghanistan
6) of Muslim brotherhood. Muslims are brothers. Muslims are ONE nation. People of Pakistan are helping Afghanistan fight war against US/Nato as brothers, and rulers of Pakistan are helping the enemy fight against its own people
I wish we had people in Pakistan, who would call in these talk shows and forcefully ask these questions, so these topics are discussed openly on these talk shows.

are not the solution. There are no un-islamic laws in Pakistan. The problem is that individuals in Pakistan do not implement Islam on their ownself and their own lives. But they want to implement these on all others. If people of Pakistan follow the teachings of Islam then there will be no such problems as are being faced today.
Promulgation of islamic laws are not needed as these are already there. The only thing needed is that people of Pakistan get disciplined to obey these laws voluntarily.
Shouts to promulgate islamic laws is a cover up by mullas to get the control of the country in their own hands. But Pakistan was made for the people of Pakistan to govern themselves through ballot and not for the mullas to hijack it on gun point.

@supercreature: I did answer your questions before. You just missed the point. You’r like an ordinary Pakistani, who whenever he hears something from the other side, his main focus is to find shortcomings in what was said, rather than concentrating on what the person is actually saying.
I cannot say for certain that Taliban are the cause of all crimes that we have heard of in recent times. Why? Because no investigations have taken place. No evidence has been put forward. Nothing has been proved in the court of law. No miscreants have been caught, tried and sentenced in the court of law.
Secondly, because we don’t have any independent source of information. ALL that we view on mass media in Pakistan is news put forward by ISPR. No journalists, no media personnel, no one is allowed to visit the conflicted area and make an objective assessment.
I will however say this much, that whoever is committing suicide attacks, whoever is spilling and killing innocent blood, they are not doing it for Jihad, they are not doing it for a righteous cause. They are doing it to intentionally spread chaos. To demoralize us. To make us think that there’s something wrong with one part of our society.
If something is not being done for a righteous cause, then no matter what is being done, it is wrong, it is detestable. We should protest against it.
My point in answering your question the hard is way is to save the name “Taliban”. We do NOT want to confuse the word “Taliban” with “criminals”. The label “Taliban” is “given” to too many innocent citizens of Pakistan who have no envolvement in this conflict. If other nations conducts talks with militant opposition, why can’t we? We are MUCH BETTER than them. OR at least, we think we are, since we are Muslims. Our standard is MUCH HIGHER than theirs’.

That is why I like the StartTrek series. It shows exactly this. It gives a lesson in every episode. The people in StarTrek uphold their directive #1 i.e., the prime directive. Once they obey their own laws, ONLY THEN they have the moral and legal right to challenge ALL others who don’t. That is what they show in this program
If the govt. consists of civilized people, it would show in their intentions and actions. So far, I see nothing to that end.

Killing of Zainuddin is done by Taliban becuse he opposed Taliban’s actions against Pakistan and Pakistani people.
