We have just completed a major upgrade of the software that powers PKPolitics. Most of the components of site should be working normally, however some features including Premium Video System and Discuss Forum are not working at the moment.
We are working on bringing those up and they should be working in couple of hours. Please leave comment below if you discover any issue and we will work to resolve it.

Re the recent comments summary on the main page.
We used to be able to see which program/article a comment was posted under which doesnt appear to be the case anymore. Is that a permanant change?

Would be nice to put a set of links to main stream Pakistani newspapers. One or more of the segments used for links to BBC New, NY News would be a good place to start.

The RSS feeds of most newspapers from Pakistan are not reliable.
Thanks for the quick response. You are the man admn. I was not suggesting an RSS feed from Pakistani newspapers. I was just mentioning the name of leading newspapers and links to them. Currently, I have to search for Pakistani newspapers, type their addresses in the browser or keep a bookmark for each of them. If your site has those thinks, visitor will develop a habit to come to pkpolitics first. This will certainly help increasing the traffic to site.

It is good that you upgraded your site and added more features.
But there is one thing more to be upgraded that your policy towards the comments writers.
You as admin should be pure neutral and provide equal opportunity to every one.
I noticed that some comments are subject to clearance from admin.
Is that the across the board policy or meant only for few people.

1. Plz devise/include a system where-in, the in-coming ‘comment’ of each Member/Visitor is ‘automatically’ given a serialized number.
2.This is a very old demand/suggestion of mine, which I addressed to you a number of times before also, but I NEVER received any response from you.
3. On the other hand your ‘quick response’ within a SHORT time span of approximately half-an-hour is NOT UNDERSTOOD , as acknowledged by the member ‘Dirtypoltician’ also, (as above, on 24/6/9 at 11.35pm.)

I also wish to know, as to HOW LONG replies/comments from various members will CONTINUE TO BE PUT UNDER MODERATION?

I thought my posts will not go into moderation anymore. However, since pkpolitics upgrade, my posts again, go straight into moderation, while others enjoy their posts going straight out without any checks.
What kind of twisted standard is this, that you moderate comments from those who say the right thing, who present evidence, who talk logic and don’t moderate comments from those who continuously talk baseless BS?
I guess I’m not dealing with “educated” people here. If I had been, there would have been a transparent system.
How can one think of improvement, if one applies different set of “biased” rules to different set of people?
That is pure non-sense.
Haven’t we seen enough results of this kind of thinking in the past 62 years of Pakistan’s existence?
It doesn’t make sense how we keep clinging to the same failed solutions even after watching them fail over and over again

The idea posted above by DirtyPolitician to include the links to major Pakistani newspapers is a very good idea. I think it should definitely be implemented.
Alongside that, I would like to add that it would be very helpful if ALL programs had the name of the guests included in the description. I know they are there for some of them but they are very helpful in sifting through so many programs and finding the people you are interested in hearing. When they are not there, one has to open the link to watch the program to find out.
Just a suggestion.
