This is certainly not Shia Sunni. It is just a deviated faction from the Sunni school of thought, rather a distorted cult, which dissociates itself from even mainstream Barelvis and even some peace loving Deobandis. In other words, this is a special cult of Distorted Deobandism, which is called Takfeeris. Initially this brand was imported along with the Arab fighters in this region and later on due to fanning and privatization of Jehad, this cult established its roots in the poor Madrassahs of NWFP and other parts of Pakistan. These Takfeeris led by people like Gul Bahadur Hafiz, Baitullah Mehsud and his family members, Fazlullah of Swat, Mullah Omar et al. consider all Sunnis and Shias as heretics and therefore according to them not allowed to live in this world. Takfeeris strangely enough are mostly uncircumcised (they dont practice this Islamic ritual), they consider pork halal and they have been eating wild pork during their war against people of tribal areas. In Kurram Agency, most of the militants are Mehsuds who have crossed from neigbouring NWA and have influence along this belt of Lower Kurram extending upto Hangu and then into Orakzai Agency. Hakimullah Mehsud, cousin of Baitulah is their leader. They started a genocide of Shias in Kurram, so much so that even the Sunni tribes of Lower Kurram Agency are fed up of the Talibani activities in their areas.
